Greetings! Did you ever want to sleep cheap in Budapest? Have you ever considered to get a new pet or maybe more for free? Then you found the right place! This place pretty cheap, you can't compare it to other places! It is like a house bought on credit, the real costs come later! Since you get forced to take care of small cute insects called bed bugs, well, at least you get them for free, which doesn't change the small fact that they are dangerous for you and your home, since they will spread, if you don't take care of them, which is the cheaper version. If you don't do this you'll have to get your complete home cleaned, which is kinda expensive, for comparison you could probably just have rented an A+ Hotel for that money. Simply said: Stay away from here, except you like bed bugs and an aggressive owner... heared there are people with that kind of interests...

The worst hostel I had ever been to. Lemme start with the reception person. Extremely rude and stubborn. He kept snapping at me for no reason and eventually I had to run away. I still thank God for not checking in there. I had a gut feeling that I wouldn't make it back in single piece if I stayed there. A big nooooo for the people who even have the slightest thoughts of staying there.

Amazing and great experience. Love this location. Just 1 minute from metro. Super market. Other basic attractions. Again I will choose this place for stay. Nice. And. Great staff

Awful, we left 10 minutes after checking in to find somewhere else to stay. The man on the reception was rude, the place was shabby and tatty. The bathroom has 2 showers and one toilet in and none of these have doors so there's no privacy unless you want to take up the whole bathroom. There are a further two toilets coming off the kitchen and they smell strongly of urine which is just what you want where you'll be eating! These do not have sinks or soap. The bed frames must have just been repainted when we arrived as the room smelled very strongly of paint fumes. Tiny locker for storage, no shelves or anything to put your things next to you in bed if you're on the top bunk. Worst hostel I've ever been in and I don't understand how it has any good reviews whatsoever. We complained but were refused any kind of refund. Avoid.

wish i could make a better review considering the owner seemed to be compromised with the cleaning and organization of the place and was kind to us. I actually did write a nice comment on hostelworld but the next day the bedbug bites showed up. A lot of them. My friend was covered with bites and her hand got really swollen, it was really scary, we almost had to go to the hospital because she seemed allergic. When we left the hostel some guys had already been bit but we though we were lucky... The reviews show that the problem is old and the owner doesn’t seem to care about those bugs, so i think it’s important to warn who is interested in stay.

Stayed there a couple weeks ago. After We've read about Bedbugs in this Hostel, I was asking to look for the rooms. First we were not allowed to see the rooms until we payed, great. After little of a discussion we had a quick look, a bit too quick. On the third day we were full of bites, after a complain the owner didn't want to know anything about it. We even showed him the nest at ceiling, his onl answer was they never come down so far. Well, the following night i smashed at least 5 bugs. You'll see small dots of wall paint evereywhere, thats where the blood stains of smashed bugs had been. (Yes, probably my blood..) Now, after a couple weeks, one of us even got the scabies. You'll be better off sleeping on the Street than in this place.

Just avoid this place by any means. We arrived at the Hostel and we decided to Check the Reviews of the Hostel and Read them more in Detail, After Reading some Reviews and did some reasearch about this place we Discovered that this place was full of Bedbugs. We confronted the owner with it and he told us that it is not True and People were lying. 2 Days later, two People of our group got bitten and then searched where they were coming from. After that we confronted the owner again and he didnt even want to look in the room to try to fix this Problem. He didnt care and told the bedbugs came from Another Hostel. And as we Left the Hostel he got physical and started insulting us. The owner is a pathetic liar who has no Honour. Avoid this Hostel.

This hostel is a rubbish a big trash. Very dirty and lots of cockroaches. They have the old bathroom that sucks and very dirty. The living room sofa is almost to be thrown and you have a second thougt to sit if there is a bedbug. My first night was horrible so the following day i check out. They robbed money and supposedly the Baraka hostel should refund the 2 days remaining but they refund me only 1 day, they overcharged me coz i nees also to pay the key which is broken. The reception guy is so stupid at all and disgusting and very rude. I wont recommend this hostel to other traveler.You cannot find the adress easily coz the no of the street was on the button. The stairs was also very dirty and have a foul smell. .

The location is great, it's close to shops and tube. Staff is excellent, very kind and helpful guy. They are also flexible with check in and check out which came very handy at arrival.

You get what you paid for. The beds were decently comfortable, the pillows too soft for my liking (I had to fold one) Minus points are the WiFi didn't reach the rooms, so you had to go to the lobby. And we only got like 5/6 keys on 16 people...

It has good place for stay with proper locker. Locker is small where important things can be kept. Kitchen is available, where anyone can bring and cook. Common room is there.

Stayed here few days hostel is nice and clean staff is really helpful will definitely come back

Except for the location and price I have nothing good to say about this hostel. The amenities (showers, toilets, kitchen) are disgusting and I caught bed bugs. It seems that the owner doesn’t try to comfort his guests at all, “baraka” ironically is the one and only right name for this hostel. If you try to save on money, go for Couchsurfing but don’t go for this hostel.

Hotel infested with bed fleas, I became paranoid. When I got home, my body was completely covered in bites, it took me many days to stop scratching and I had to go see a doctor for treatment. As far as the kitchen equipment is concerned, it is basic. as for the sofas, they are torn. Non-compliant photos on booking I strongly advise against
