Très bonne auberge ! Alessandro and his friends are very nice and adaptable about check in/chech out. A very good atmosphere is coming from this hostel. Its comfortable and there is a lot of space. The good location is the cherry on the top! I highly recommend you to stay in Loft Hostel!

Honestly one of the best hostels I ever stayed at. Small and well located at walking distance from most touristic attractions and night life. The common areas are big and cosy, perfect to chill and meet people. Rooms are big and quiet during the night. The staff is super nice and helpful, and the cleanliness is just off the roof. I have never seen such a clean kitchen and bathrooms in a hostel ! I felt more in a shared house than a hostel

I had an incredible stay here during my recent trip to Budapest. The smaller size of the hostel combined with its setup really helps to facilitate social interactions among the guests. The hostel owner Alessandro and the employees that work there are also really invested in ensuring the guests have a great time and work to help facilitate a night out to various bars or ruin bars. Talking to everyone that stayed while I was there, we all agreed that it really didn't feel like a hostel, but more just like staying over a friend's place. This place really elevated my overall experience in Budapest and made a great trip even better. Would highly recommend you stay here if you get a chance!

This is, without a doubt, one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a charming combination of clean and cozy with everything you need to enjoy your time in Budapest. Furthermore, in addition to being wonderfully informative and on top of things, the hosts will make you feel welcome and at home. They’re some of the dopest people I’ve met in my travels. Do yourself a favor and book a bed or a private room at The Loft.

I am incredibly lucky to have had my first experience of hostels in The Loft. I found myself very much at ease when I walked through the door for the first time. This place is more a home than a hostel which can be attested by the welcoming generosity of its owners, Alessandro and Alice, both of whom work so hard to make this place stand out from all the rest. There too is Anna, who knows Budapest like the back of her hand, and who is so modest in her contribution to the lovely environment. This team of three are doing a great service for the backpackers and solo-travellers of the world. If you decide to stay here, you really ought to show them the same respect and congeniality as they will inevitably show you.

Just pure class. Alice the owner was so warm and friendly and gave me and my friend PHEONOMIAL recs. The owners set out to create a hostel that feels like a home and they certainly did. Also Dorrah (hi if you're reading this) who welcomed me was a hoot and good for endless conversation! Prices are reasonable and atmosphere unbeatable.

A fantastic place, the staff are absolutely lovely, the hostel feels homely, and has everything you might need in the kitchen as well as supplying you with some basics (spices, tea, sugar, etc.). Made it super easy to get to know other travelers and there was just a general fantastic atmosphere even when we were traveling without wanting to party.

Honestly, one of the best hostels that I have stayed in. Such warm and nice people, feels like home. Great location, cheap prices. There is a kitchen with a lot if free stuff that you can use. The only downside probably will be that there are only two toilets, so sometimes you have to wait a little bit, but, hey, it's a hostel

I highly recommend this hostel! I was a solo female traveler, and I stayed here more than once throughout my Europe trip. Both times I experienced a safe, clean, and friendly environment. I hope to stay again in the future!!

This is a small hostel but is full of warmth, is located in a great (and centrally located) neighbourhood, and is very comfortable. The fully kitted out common room, kitchen and dining area are great spaces to hang out with fellow travellers and it was much easier than most other non-party hostels to make friends quickly. Best of all, the managers – Alice and Alessandro – are just the loveliest people and are more than happy to help out with travel suggestions or advice, as are their other staff. I’m definitely returning to the Loft when I come back in a few years :)

Best hostel I have ever stayed at!!! Good location, quirky and artsy decor, and the staff there are so nice and welcoming. You feel less like you're staying at a hostel and more like you're staying with your cool friend. Overall wonderful environment that has a way of bringing people together

Stayed here for 5 nights as a solo traveller :) The hostel staff are lovely and met some great people whilst visiting. Spent many evenings on the balcony in the sun, a very chilled place but always people up for going out for a drink or exploring the city. Couldn't recommend it more

As a solo male traveller I was a little bit hesitant in staying in an establishment where I might actually have to talk to fellow human beings. The staff and owner are amazing. Very professional and eager to help me with anything I requested. Sometimes I put my phone down and spoke words out of my mouth hole with other humans. I have to admit, I quite enjoyed that. Highly recommended.

The Hostel was absolutely amazing. The staff catered for all my needs and made some amazing friends there. If you're ever in Budapest this is the hostel to stay at.

This hostel is one of the best hostels I've ever been to! The staff is extremely friendly, they have thought of literally everything (from comfort in your room, to giving you the prices of every thermal bath in town and to being able to find answers to all your inquiries). The bedrooms, the common room, the kitchen and the bathrooms are really clean, well equipped and secure. The hostel is beautifully decorated and makes you feel homey and cozy. The environment is great for meeting new people, going to a nearby bar (all of them are really close btw) and exploring the city. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Such an awesome place. Alice and Alessandro work tirelessly to keep it the best in Hungary. Their combination of strengths and commitment to every little detail in the hostel means you won't find a better place to stay unless they open it. The beds are ridiculously comfortable, there are mosquito nets in the windows which is a must, laundry can be done for a small fee. The facilities are amazing. There is coffee and tea available. The social atmosphere is super engaging. If you want to go out every night you can, but if you want to work on your laptop in the comfortable lounge mostly then you can do that too. There are even some weights. Props to Anna, who is incredibly sweet and smiley and keeps everything oiled and the vibes super happy. When you stay you get a QR code to an incredibly helpful city cheat sheet with a run down of all the city's gems. The beds are placed far enough apart that everyone can sleep in peace. There's a nice dining area and cooking appliances sufficient to make a decent restaurant quality meal. Location is super central and on the river - you can't do much better. It's a special vibe and my review will never do it justice. Thank you so much for everything team!

First time solo traveling and i feel the luckiest having found a place like this. It's located in a cool historic building in the very center of the city, and it's your perfect place to have a rest after a whole day exploring Budapest or to simply chill in the cozy common area, where many activities and lovely people are waiting for you. The people working there are friendly and they put a lot of effort and love in what they do, making you feel always at home. No words can make justice to this place and its people: you have a strategic position, clean confortable rooms and beds, clean and completely usable kitchen, free tea and coffee, drinkable tap water, and they also can make your laundry. You should do yourself a gift by just packing your luggage and coming here experiencing one of the best hostels that you will ever see in your life.

I couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay in Budapest. The staff was very helpful and friendly. When I arrived Anna gave me very useful informations about what to visit and how to move. The owner Alessandro is super chill and he can be often found in the common room chatting with his guests. The hostel is very clean and comfortable. They provide a free laundry service, as well as flip flops -that also can be taken to thermal baths- and soap. The position is very central and well connected to metro and tram lines. At night the place is very quiet despite it being near the nightlife area. I definitely recommend the Loft Hostel to anyone planning to visit Budapest!

Guests always disturb the residents, there are no clear directions for the guests to follow, and they end up in the wrong part of the building, ringing residents doorbells in the early morning or at night. Please put the clear directions to the hostel as it was the case before.

I had a great time at the Loft. The most unique thing about this hostel is the staff. Alice and Alexander bring a true hostel experience in that it feels like actual hosts welcoming you into their home, unlike other large hostels that have the impersonal hotel vibe. I was also appreciative of Alexander taking the guests to awesome dive bars with open mic night. Also had the privilege of meeting several friendly and unique guests from Germany, India, and Turkey.

This places WAS AMAZING. Cool old building - wonderful, helpful staff, close to absolutely everything and BUDAPEST is unreal. STAY HERE if YOU'RE COMING! I booked the single room with double bed and it was perfect. Bathrooms are clean and kitchen is terrific.

The Loft is a great social hostel! There is a comfy common room with a large couch, a well stoked kitchen to cook, and two excellent hosts: Alice and Alessandro, who are very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the company of the two of them.

Alessandro is the perfect host. Super responsive, polite, helpful and has his own smart charm. The place is super centrally located. The breakfast for us was a surprise.

Amazing place! Fully equipped kitchen, wonderful staff and an overall cool experience, not like your average commercial hostel. They let me borrow a towel for free and a padlock for my locker. When I went to one of the thermal baths, they let me borrow some flip flops and a towel for free as well!! Staying here is comfortable and feels like home! ♥️ Fairly priced too!

The Loft Hostel is by far my favourite hostel I have ever stayed in. It is clean and tidy, the bedrooms and bathrooms are well taken care of. It is small and homely, the atmosphere is welcoming and warm. If you're looking for a home away from home, this is it.
