The private double room is amazing, it is more like a hotel than a hostel! The bed was incredibly comfy, the wardrobe is huge, and the room is beautifully decorated. The bathroom was also hotel-standard and very clean. The owner was very helpful. He gave us maps for the city, pointed out lots of things to visit, and explained the best public transport options. He also let us leave our bags at the hostel for a few hours after we'd checked out so we didn't need to carry them around!

Best hostel I've ever stayed at. Owner is friendly and wholesome! Gives lots of travel tips as said by other commenters, were so helpful and chased up on us when they saw that we accidentally left some belongings behind. Facilities were clean and worth every penny :)

Really nice place to stay. Dorms offer a lot of privacy thanks to the colourful curtains. Kitchen has everything including coffee, tea, sugar, oil, salt. Well organized, extremely clean and well designed. Two toilets and two bathrooms with sink and shower/bathtub. The place is a bit small, but it's great to meet people. We found it so good the first day that we booked two extra nights. The owner is really sweet and available. When we arrived he showed us the hostel and the nearby services such as the metro station (5min by foot) or the shop. Moreover, he gave us useful tips about the city's main sights, the baths and everything we needed to know to get started visiting Budapest. The city centre is around 15min by foot, but we recommend to go around the streets nearby (District VII) to discover some cool spots: different cafès, the ruin bars (especially Szimpla Kert, the most famous one) and nice restaurants. For us, staying in Metropolis Hostel added to our trip in a special way! Thanks to Gabriel and to all the staff for making our stay better.

Propably the best budget accommodation you can get in the city of Budapest. Very clean - public spaces is cleaned daily, kitchen is fully equipped - they even offer free coffee and tea. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I like this place. I truly do. It is central, close to the Keleti train station, M2 and M4, trams 4 and 6, and a myriad of bus stops. The receptionist is very professional, rooms are neat, and the bathrooms are awesome. For a hostel, you do get a lot of privacy here, and I really appreciate that. WiFi is very good. I'll probably be back. Not bad at all for my first hostel experience.

Great hostel, nice beds with curtains for privacy and plenty of space for your things but was lacking in kitchenware. Amazing choice for calmer evenings
