These rooms are amazing, incredibly cosy and right in the centre of the city, in 5 mins you reach the subway, stores, pubs, everything. It was a magical room we stayed in and were just in awe of how nice it Was, when we got there we got new towels and given a detailed explanation of things to visit and where the best pubs were. Would definitely book again

Such an unique and special place to stay in Budapest. We had a pleasant stay there and I would definitely come back there the next time.

Must Recommended place with polite staff and really creative rooms. Beds are comfortable but the wooden ground in the room is noisy due to old building. The place is quite pocket friendly and is at a really good location Situation next to Metro and Tram Station Kalvin Tere M. The rooms and the building is quite secured with Chip Locking System. They also accept EUROS for payments. The rooms are quite clean only our bathroom was a bit small.

This place has been hand painted and decorated. Each room has been done in a different way so it has a unique feel to it. This kind off gives the place a very different vibe. The common area is a great place to hangout and interact with other guests. The employees over there are really friendly and helpful. The place is located close to a lot tourist places and has some really good restaurants and cafes in its vicinity. The hotel does not have a lift / elevator and this makes carrying luggage up to the third floor a big pain.

If you want to relax with comfort and don't want to pay a great price for nights, then you come here! Lavender Circus is a very cozy place which is located not far from the city center. Transport interchange is very convenient. The room has everything from designer interior to kitchen utensils. The staff are very and very friendly, and ready to help you in any issue, as well as recommend interesting places where you can order a delicious food. However, reservations must be made in advance, in 3-4 months, because the hostel is a very popular. For tourists who looking for something interesting - Levender Circus is exactly that place!

Had seen this on Travel Man and figured if it’s good enough for Richard Ayoade, it’s good enough for me. I was not disappointed: super duper clean, loads of character, great location, friendly & helpful staff! Definitely take their restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. I had an apartment with a full kitchen, which I didn’t really use but it was nice to have the option. Yes, having to haul your luggage up 3 flights of stairs is a pain, but to me it was totally worth it to stay here. Highly recommend!

A little too grungy for the price. Stayed in one of their apartments not the hostel upstairs. Fridge didn't work and obviously hadn't for a number of years but was still switched on. Kitchen was old and decrepit. Bedroom felt like a student flat from the 70s. Bathroom was "funky" to say the least. Staff were lovely and helpful. Security was surprising good. No lift and the building like a lot in Budapest is in a very poor state. This place wasn't cheap considering the lack of facilities but was in a good location. Cute black texta artwork on walls. Try a cheap hotel instead.

Very nice place. The rooms with their draws are very beautiful. Also clean. There is a fully equipped kitchen that you can use also. In very central location, close to all public transportation. Nearby many pubs, bistros, Cafe, clubs, supermarket and restaurants. The only disadvantage that is the 3rd floor without elevator and that they don't provide shower gel on the bathroom. Overall I will definitely prefer it again.

Very good location. It is in city center and very close to airport bus station. There is not any reception here. Building is quite old. Not very well maintenaned. There is kitchen in our room. If you stay only a few days it might be ok.

Amazing experience! A different concept of hostel with great location and decoration! Liked · The location is the best in Budapest. It's close to all main public transportation systems. The decoration is amazing, special and unique. It's a hostel that makes you feel a guest at someone's house. It's an experience I've never had. There is a fully-equipped kitchen that you can use at anytime. The receptionist was very kind and informative. Disliked · I didn't like that the toilet was outside my room, but it's just a detail that did not bother us at all. The whole environment of the hostel makes it worth it!

Great location, apartments and service. WIFI was intermittent, so if you need it for work etc, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

First time you step on the apartment, you can think it s not good but if you be patient and reach the hostel you will like this cozy place. Dont compare it to other places but the hostels, it has warm ambience, colorful walls, polite people inside. They are well prepared and give us a paper all we need to know. ( restaurant and cafe advices included) you can prepare coffee for free:) and for me the most important thing is cleaning. Everything was clean. The location is perfect and it was really cheap. Just enjoy it. Thank you all lavender staff💙

Very nice hostel. We got the private room. The bathroom should be renovated but I liked the room very much.

A great hostel! We stayed in a private room with shared bathrooms which was very comfortable. We never had to wait for the bathroom or shower, either. The front desk staff were kind and helpful with recommendations if you were looking for them. And the room was clean and comfortable and funky with all the interesting drawings. The building was also cool and felt very safe, with many locked doors in between us and the street, though there were many flights of stairs up to the room. We didn’t spend much time in the common space but that was also a cool area. Wifi was a bit slow in our room since we were further away from the common area, but it worked great closer by. The only downside to the hostel was that our room was on a loud street- not a big deal since we are both deep sleepers but lighter sleepers would do well with earplugs. A great stay though, and we’d recommend it!

The hosts are lovely! The decor of each room is unique and has character! The room we had faced the main street and surprisingly not noisy! Plenty of space for up to 6 medium sized adults! Well thought out with the power sockets extensions placements! Our room had the ensuite. There's a communal gathering area by reception, with fridges and kitchen. Partner has the photos on her phone (out of memory on mine). Your journey begins downstairs.

Great hostel to stay in and very friendly staff especially Anita. Very cosy and unique rooms. Everything is very clean. Only issue is that reception is in the top floor so you need to have strong muscles to carry your luggage by stairs. Helped us burn calories so no complaints. Entrance might be confusing for first time travelers but get really close to the door and dial the hostel number Very close to major tourist attractions.

Perfect! It's a little spot in the city center, hidden off the street with cool decoration and a vintage vibe to the place. The staff is super friendly, ready to help, the room was amazing, with a loft bed and my parter and I had more than enough space even though we're both taller. It's very bohemian and whimystical. Top choice, best little find this summer!

Lavender Circus Hostel in Budapest is an absolute gem! The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and charming decor create a welcoming haven for travelers. The central location makes it convenient to explore the city's wonders. An unforgettable experience.

The hostel has a unique and really nice and cosy vibe. Location is central and literally across the street from the bus stops to and from the airport. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great little place. Very cheap & very quirky. No lift & quite a lot of stairs! Excellent location for exploring. It appeared on 'Travel Man' & we were very impressed. Would return here again.

Perfect location, easy access in a gorgeous building, and you could walk literally anywhere from the hostel. We got a private room for 3 nights, it was small and comfortable, with a private bathroom. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay there again when back in Budapest.

If you hate having working WiFi, this is the place for you. Cost me hundreds of dollars of data (it was a long stay) just because my phone couldn't connect to WiFi. Not to mention, data even was poor here. Plus, there's one washer for the whole building, and it's always incredibly backed up. 2 stars for kind staff and a great location, but I have not had a pleasant stay.

An artsy place to stay in Budapest. Located in the third floor of an old building in the city. Walking distance to shops, cafes and metro/bus station.

The hotel decoration is interesting. The problem we had was that the sink pipe was broken so there was not way to wash the hands after using the toilet….. Also the rope to flush the toilet had a suspicious color… We stayed at the hotel like 10 minutes, after we realized what I described before, we canceled our booking. I wanted to give one start but the people there were really cool and gave me my money back really fast, that’s why I give them 2 starts. They can improve.

Very friendly staff! Nice location with good public transport connections. 4th floor without elevator :(

We stayed in an apartment with private bathroom. Cool building with more charm than a typical hotel and the service was good, and check in at 12 is nice. Room was fun and quirky. If you're looking for something spotlessly clean, you may want to look elsewhere but we enjoyed it. Location is good too.

Perfect. Central and close to public transportation. The apartment was nice with very nice decorations. Strongly suggested

This place is a good Backpackers, good service and good staff. It's up stairs that are not steep and are wide, easy to negotiate. Young people who find a flight of stairs in a grand old building to hard need to to think about their fitness. We liked it and we are well into our 60's.

I have been here for 6 days, it is a nice place and staff is kind. Cleanliness could have been a bit better anyway, but for the money we paid it was ok

Located in the heart of the city, almost all of the tourist attractions are easily accessible from here. We received a warm welcome and were comfortable throughout our stay. Just a warning though, you need to ascend several flights of stairs to get to the front desk or to your rooms.

Dori is amazing, the absolute best host. The places are so cute and unique. The location can't be beat. It is an all around recommendation. It can be hard to find and the staircase is a bit dark if you get in late but that is the only mark against this place. It also it right in front of the 100E bus stop (that is the bus to take to and from the airport, there are only 2 stops so its really convenient). The flats are so big! They have a full kitchen and a very large bedroom. So much character!
