HORRIBLE place to stay!!!! If you want to save your valuables and life, do NOT stay at this place. We recently stayed there and our backpack with our passports and laptop was stolen right from our room while we were asleep. The bag was kept on a table near the door and the room was locked from inside. The hotel claims to have 3 levels of security- one at the front gate of the building, another at the hotel entrance on the 3rd floor and one, ofcourse a key to your own room. How is it possible that somebody could break this security and steal our valuables from the room. The bag was with us until 11.30 pm and by morning, it was gone. The hotel owner and his brother (who claims to be in the police) was not cooperative and kept telling lies that he saw some gypsy guy at night running away or that we did not close the door properly, etc etc. He even gave a wrong version to the Hungarian police when we called them (because the police cannot converse in English and there was no interpreter). I requested the hotel owner several times that if the thief had a key and the codes to enter the hotel, it has to be someone from inside the hotel. I asked him to check the rooms and hotel premises. However, he was extremely uncooperative and pretended as if it was no big deal. We filed a police complaint and went to the embassy to get an emergency travel document in lieu of our passports as we had a flight to catch the next day. And guess what, the next day around 1.30 am to 2.00 am, again somebody tried to enter our room. This time, we were alert and had put the door key from inside so the thief couldnt get in. It was obvious that the theft was an insider job and the hotel owners knew him very well. Had this been in the US ot elsewhere, the hotel is liable to pay for the loss but these owners were extremely useless and nonchalant. I called the hotel owner the next day again requesting him to search the premises and that somebody tried to break into our room. He was callous in his reaction and kept saying “okay I will do it”, but ofcourse he did nothing! I strongly suggest anybody reading this review not to book rooms at this shady hotel owned by thugs. DO not go by the cheap hotel rates and the reviews (as we did) because you will end up losing a lot more than you would have thought.

it s awful. when i came to check-in, they say that they dont have places and cant do it. they even did not cancel my booking some days before. they have thown me away at the street and i had to find more expensive hostel cause of not to sleep on the street at night. burn in hell

Comfortable!

We cannot deny that the hostel is very well located with competitive prices, however the customer treatment is so bad that I would not recommend the place. The owner was so rude and aggressive to us (and to other guests as well) during our first day there that we would not come back if we had to visit Budapest again. Also, staff’s English level very poor

Place near city centre. Accessible by bus and trams. Clean and hygienic. No breakfast. Wifi is there. Make sure to keep valuables in lockers. Host is friendly.

Okay the location is wonderful but the building is old so the toilet and the bathroom are not really good. İf you dont mind that the place is clean and for this location its cheap also.

Nice hostel, very clean and with comfortable beds. They offer free coffee and tea in the kitchen.

We couldnt find anybody when we arrived in check-in hours. We waited nearly 1.5 hour. We didnt feel comfortable and safe.

Nice staff but was hard to get sleep with 30C in the room
