Cute little hostel. Only four rooms so it's not very busy. It is centrally located which is great. Though on the main street near Astoria, so the traffic maybe noisy, but you could still sleep well. You can tell that the owner cares about the place because of the small little details, like earbuds and soap and shampoo in the bathrooms.

Great location. Walk to the Danube in minutes. Many restaurants and an Aldi next door. Very clean. Staff very friendly. We talked politics and I learned a lot about Hungary and Budapest from her. Make sure you are at #17, not#15. Both have a 42 bell so it might be confusing. You are going in the green metal gate, nor a door from the street. Thank goodness for the elevator!! You enter it from the back side. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. There is traffic noise from the busy street below till late at night. Then silence. Pictures are views from my window.

It's hard to describe how perfect this hostel is if you're taking a city adventure! Judit (the owner) is fantastic, the decoration is lovely and the security is very strong. You could cook every night here quite easily, the showers are great and the location is dead centre of everything, yet it's quiet when you need to sleep!

Wonderful staff. The hostel is small and it's on the 4th floor of an old building but there is an elevator. Despite the fact that it's small we didn't really run into the other guests and never had to wait for showers or toilets which was good. The only thing our double room was small and didn't have air con and it was around 36 degrees when we went so sometimes had trouble sleeping because it was too hot. There was a small fan thing that didn't work so we left the windows open which made it loud and still didn't really help cause no breeze blew in. Its really close to the metro though and to shops and supermarkets. The bus from the airport drops you off just around the corner so it's handy. And they let us check out late which was awesome.

Great value for money. Excellent location - close to two thermal baths ( Rudas and Gellert). Walking distance into the city. Lovely owner who's very kind and knowledgeable about the history of Hungary. She's a traveller too. Clean rooms and bathrooms. High ceilings, pretty spacious. Located in a historical art nouveau building. Good security. The only thing I'd say is that the entrance area is a little dark and old. The lift is too and I get a little nervous taking the lift up. Because it's situated on the fourth floor the rooms have a very good view. The kitchen is a little small but it has an oven and a cooker, toaster and kettle. Everything you might need during your stay.

Great and friendly atmosphere. The staff did their best to make us feel welcome and gave us a great overview of Budapest. Rooms were clean and the location (city center right next to Astoria) is A+.

This hostel is situated in a great location. The hostel is clean and homey. Since it is smaller, it is pretty quiet compared to other hostels I've stayed in. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay at Gaia!

Highly recommend this tiny little hostel. Only 4 rooms, but plenty of bathrooms and showers. Personalized feel, good advice. We loved our stay!

It was a bit hard to find but it’s in the same entrance as this place called “The Living Room” and once we did get there it was an amazing stay. It had everything you’d need and more. Judit and her business partner were so sweet and the location is perfect for tourists or anyone else!

Exactly in the Center with most of the buses, trams halting at 1 min walk this place is easily accessible. Metro line M2 (Astoria) is next to the hotel. The host, Judit is very friendly and helpful. She helped us to plan and also recommended some awesome food places. The place is in old building but modern inside. It has all amenities in kitchen and Judit has kept whatever one can need in kitchen. Bathroom has all free toiletries in case you forgot yours or traveling light. Also, a environmentally sustainable! You can get a room with private bathroom. Kitchen is shared. If I or my friends are going to Budapest, this is the place we would stay again!!
