    This is a cheating dormitory, it is closer to a prison where you don't have rights. Although electricity was cut out in my room, no body cared about returning it back. They gave me a broken refrigerator and when I left the dormitory they refused returning me my deposit because it is broken without considering that they gave it to me like this. Also there are many other problems in this prison and I don't have time to mention it all.

    I've lived here for 8 months, this is a truly terrible place. Most of the staff is rude or ignorant, the restrooms, the showers and the kitchen looks like a disgusting dumpster most of the time, some of the toilets can't flush properly (and are not fixed even after multiple reports for the staff - imagine the smells), you have to pay for fast internet, but then it's still terribly unreliable (and is far away from the specs), there are idiotic rules, the heating in the early days of winter is basically non-existent (get a second blanket if you don't wanna freeze), the washing machines and driers sometimes just don't work and the cabling in the building looks like it has been done by a 10 year old. The showers' and taps' water temperature cannot be adjusted (you don't like 38° water for showering and washing dishes? - your problem!), the cleaning staff makes a habit out of being racist and inappropriate (I could quote, but you don't want that, nobody wants that). Plus side is that there are a few nice guys living there, but PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, don't mess up your life by moving here, just get an apartment with a few other guys, or go to ANY other dorm!

    Also note who is leaving what type of review on this page, the students who come here as a dormitory space vs those who visit and use it as a weekend hostel on the cheap. Also note the types of names who answer favourably vs non favourably Ranking the sins of this metaphorical sodom and gomorah in a random order: far from anything on the pest side of the world, look forward to an hour transit one way to get anywhere; sanitation is at the bottom of the list for the amount of people sharing the same tools (52 people, 4 shower stalls, 4 mirrors, 5 toilet stalls 1 female private lockable shower and toilet combo per floor) for example the communal kitchen is perpetually dirty and often missing oven trays/wire racks, bathrooms are something that I have cried over before; showers are always cold (effectively by the time it actually hits your body) 30°C water with no option to vary shower duration tempreture or pressure at any point in the year; Staff are generally unhelpful and the price is overpriced for the level of service and location of the place. shared dorms in the city cost the same for vastly lower facility use per capita. Final verdict stay for a semester+ if you enjoy pain or do not have the funds to survive elsewhere or struggle meeting people. Otherwise flourish anywhere but here

    Aweful place. The stuff and administration are rasist and unqualified. They separate foreigners from local students. The worst thing is they do not care about conditions for foreigners. Receptionist (night shift) hates Asians. Even if is cheap, guys, do not live there. It is possible to find much better place in city center with much better conditions. I lived there for one year. Trust me

    Generally too expensive for what it is. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, fridge did not work and the toilet doors do not close fully. No toilet paper or hand soap is provided. Upon arrival (at 3am) we were sent to an occupied room (a bit awkward for the people who were asleep in there). One of the staff did not speak English so it was hard to communicate at times. We also sensed a slight sarcasm from staff at reception when we arrived which would have been nice not to have… Generally do not visit if you are not going to Sziget. The location is fine as there is a Lidl nearby and the festival is within walking distance. Would not visit again.

    Cheap and non-fussy about having a couple of hundred cyclists coming by. I stayed for a week and thought it was a no-frills simple place to crash. I thought the bed was comfortable enough, you could normally find toilet paper somewhere (but I always carry an emergency bit of a roll and I used that once or twice). Pros: cleaning and drying for 400+400 for a machine. 1500 for a gyros in the cafeteria. 400 for a americano in a machine which adds sugar even if you asked it to not add it. It made it drinkable. The worst was one of the cleaning ladies who was extremely loud in the morning so bring noise-cancelling headphones… I think the normal rate is 22 euros which is cheaper than most places. 2307.

    Lived there for 5 months, which was the best time of my life because of the vibe of the city and people which I met. Beside that describing the dormitory: I’ve had opportunity to live with my friend which was a pleasure but if I have to imagine living with total stranger it feels uncomfortable. From my perspective for this price it was a perfect place to stay. By adding few things to your room to make it more cosy place it can be really a safe place Kitchen could be more stuffed by equipments cause there was always a queue to cook sth. Showers were also fine after few times I got used to clicking the button for water and it actually made sense to put this kind of thing in the dorm. And here we move to conditions of all things. The most annoying thing was that studenta who lives there DO NOT RESPECT ANY THING WHICH IS SHARED WITH OTHER. There was an issue with people cleaning after themselves which made it really hard for cleaning stuff which I was sincerely sorry for. Toilets could be renovated to have a bit more privacy while using it! But beside that people were the worst part because of no respect to clean after yourself in shower or kitchen. I recommend this dorm but please communicate with others about cleaning up shared kitchen and showers. Also please fire bald guy from reception he has some issues with himself and being racist. There was a nice cafeteria on the first floor with really nice people:) There are also vending machines avalaible 24/7 It was really nice to travel from dorm to city center because dorm was on more quite part of the city and more filled with nature.

    Almost 9 km (40 to 45 minute travel distance) from the city centre. But there's a LIDL and also an ALDI at 5 minute walking distance. Cozy place but sometimes the heating system doesn't work properly. Available at cheaper prices than most of the places in the city centre.

    One of the worst hostel provided by Semmelweis university, No one is supporting, all the blaming comes upon you without your fault. Extremely unhygienic, 1 stove for cooking in 150 people, toilets without lid, water sinking roof and whole toilet, lots of cockroach in room and kitchen, you can't imagine the smell of this hostel, and they are saying that they are charging us discounted price and on additional we have to pay them 11500 FT , which is really not acceptable. And In the contract they said if you leave the hostel before the agreement time you have to pay the rest of the fee of hostel for the whole year. I Strictly recommend to you friends, never ever choose this dormantry, otherwise just after 3 wks you wish to left it but you have to live here for forcefully just because of they didn't want to return your money back to you which is our right, which is our win scholarship. In 63000 Ft this is the very expensive and even you people in your own house are not living in such conditions, then how can you thisk a out you can study here in this atmosphere. Very very far from the university. It kills time in cooking, bathing one bathroom in 50 girls, traveling kills time, you can't make time for your studying. And in the last they will say we are not forcing you to live here but you have to pay accordingly to the contract. Disgusting. Other hostel charging 40000 FT and they are like 4 Star hotel. No charges for laundry, and these people are charging us for laundry 400Ft. . I really never ever recommend you this hostel. Friends don't believe on the hostel picture it is very worse condition here.🙏

    You get what you pay for. Stayed here for F1, not so many people here so not so much noise as i had expected. Toilets and showers are clean but old and low standard. The rooms are very hot in the summer, and bring eye cowers with you

    The people who give high reviews here are really mean haha. It was an exchange student dormitory... The facilities are so crazy The shower room is poor, and the water is clogged, so when I finish showering, my feet are in the water... deafening? what is that? I communicated with the room next door by knocking on the wall. Just think that you don't need to take care of anything, and don't use the dryer. It doesn't dry well. Be careful about rooms on the first floor whose windows are directly onto the ground. Perverts come and take pictures or look at them secretly. When evening comes, just close the curtains... When the exchange students came to the end of the exchange and told me about this, they freaked out and called the person in charge, and the next day we had lunch lol. We lived there for half a year;;

👍 As cheap hostels go lovely place. Warm staff who were exceptionally accommodating, even when we had to rebook 3 times. Rooms could have done with a fan but otherwise no complaints.
