It's a disaster! Highly recommend not to choose this hotel if you not sure about exact time of arrival. We have been delayed due to custom procedures, tryed to call to to owner and tell him - but no one answered! And than, when we arrivad (less than one hour late, about 22:00) he just didn't open the door and tell us that he is already sleeping and would not take us! He just left us in th middle of the night in unknown city!After we have been traveling from 4am! How could this be?! What the kind of service is it? It's unaccepatable!Yeah, and he want the money for stay. One star is only because I can't leave reaview without any. If you wanna take a risk - go ahead, book this hotel!

Welcoming hospitality lacking. Arrived early unaware I was not arriving at a hotel type of facility. I thought I would try to drop off suitcases before the check in time. A helpful guest guided us to the place. Unfortunately they don’t have a receptionist and when the owner arrived he was unhappy to find us in “his house” . He showed us his unique place and we still were planning to stay but our personalities seemed to clash - the bumpy start- lead to us deciding cancel. Plus the room with the private bathroom that we thought we reserved was not available. All the best to their next guest and Apologies to Imre guest house for arriving early.

great stay, very good location (walking distance to the city centre), friendly owner, fantastic interior... would stay again any time! little tricky to find though: 31 is the number for ringing the bell, and its located in the 3rd floor - and yep, you can use the elevator, it's an experience! :D

The location is great and the price was good compared to the other options. However, there are many things that could be improved. First, finding the place was complicated, the breakfast was not good at all (old fruit, bad coffee), the bathrooms are badly built and they are half open, so if you are going with somebody there you will definitely know what this person is doing in there (if you know what I mean) and the towels we got had holes in them. So, if you go to Budapest with a bit more money, go to a better hotel, it will make your experience much more pleasant.

This is a truly unique place with its furniture, its decoration, its huge mirrors and all its deatils. On top, it is affordable and the owner is really nice. Two things that could be a dealbreaker for some people: 1. It smells a bit old at times. However this is just authentic to the style and classy furniture. 2. The bathroom in our room was open at the top and thus not soundproof. If that is not a problem for you, do not hesitate to book!

For the room and comfy bed, also for location. The bath is not great, the breakfast is a joke...a bad joke. Can access it if need to go to Vaci Unta by foot, is 20 minutes walk.

Very nice hostel and perfect located for a city Holiday in Budapest!
