Visiting this place was definitely one of the greatest memories I have made so far. Beautiful city and architecture of Budapest completes the vibe even more. It is very clean, spacious and safe, which is so important! Animals looked happy and like they were enjoying their environment (which looks almost like their natural one). We weren't waiting in the queue for so long, and the tour was detailed. Also, bring some water with you because in some parts of the tropicarium, it can get very hot. I would highly recommend visiting tropicarium because of the new experience and good memories and stories you'll have for the rest of your life!

A really nice place to visit. It is very easy to navigate and there are explanations in several languages to accompany each exhibit. There is a small spot where you can sit and enjoy the view to the tank, close to the exit, as well. Definitely worth the ride there. One problem though.... inside there is no way to pay by card. It is not ok, especially when you go with your family. Cash only inside if you want to buy food or water. A big minus for this.

The best zoo I've been to so far. The variety of animals is amazing. We've walked inside the zoo for around 5 hours and still didn't see everything. The zoo is very well kept, it's very clean and the signs are clear. Quite a nice place. Overall a very good experience, lot of animals, they all looked happy and well cared for. Best part was definitely the snake head turtle and sharks. They also have hands-on sting ray aquarium, but as it's more than 2m deep I highly doubt anyone ever touched any sting ray there. One downside was number of people inside, I would definitely limit number of visitors at prime time. We took a bus 133E to get there, which was painless experience, cheap and semi-quick (30minutes from the centre).

Nice place to visit with entire family, aquarium is not so big but still impresive and with big sharks, tuna, cat fishes and lot of others, variety of insects and reptiles with description in both Hungarian and English. Decent prices around 20 Euro/family with 1 kid, tickets available also online( thus one can avoid long lanes at the Entrance during weekends), nice Shop at the Exit and also nice that location is în fact adiacent to a Mall so food, shopping and parking at handy. Distance from Budapest is around 20 mins by car, bus also available but crowdy and hot air inside.

After 20 min waiting , the line was about to the mall’s main door. The aquarium is small, I understand it is better to let few people inside , but you have to find another way to do it and make the waiting time shorter. Although many people said that it is old and not so clean and fancy , I think it is a nice place even if the pass is a bit high for what they offer , but overall it’s worth a visit on a rainy day.

One of the most amazing place in Budapest you must need to visit. They have such a huge variety in a small place like that. Not too much huge but well managed. I really like their presentation and definitions about the specific specific which can be seen there. I got chance to see some of the fish which are almost impossible to found in wild or natural habitats now because of climate change and many more factors. If you haven’t visited this place once then just hurry up and be there. I hope you will not get disappointed.

If you like tropic and aquatic animals this is perfect place for you! In tropic part you have a lot of snakes, aligators, spiders,... And in tropic part, every 15 minutes is "tropic rain". In aquatic part you have a lot of small fishes, but and big fishes too. The biggest attraction is an aquarium tunnel with 7 sharks and lot of other fishes.

Very nice selection of tropical animals, fishes and plants, tropicak rainforest with falling rain, underwater tunel and panoramic glass wall of the main pool are the best. Recommended for families with children and for sea lovers.

It is a very informative and interactive Zoo. Not my favourite in Hungary, simply because it is a bit crowded and it is in the middle of the city and the railway is just next to it. That probably stresses the animals a lot. Also at the moment 1/3 of it is closed down, that might be useful information. I recommend the langos place on top of the cliffs, the pricing is a bit high, but the food is good.

I think my daughter almost forgot everything when the first time we have been here. this time, she just finished the zoo summer camp and very interested in all type of animals. The tunnel under sea was our favorite. It was great when sharks swim over your head.

Tropicarium is located inside shopping center. You can buy tickets online also to avoid big waiting line for tickets. Parking is in front of the building with a lot of parking places although it's hard to find some place to park. Inside Tripocarium are a lot of aquariums with many kinds of fish. There are birds, turtles, crocodiles, sharks, monkeys, spiders and a lot of others kinds of animal. There is a tunnel where fish can swim over your head. It is really great experience. I can only recommend to go there 😉

Aquariums were neglected lot if algae and cyano, dead reef vibe. Shark tunnel was nice but nothing special. You can touch the rays.
