Make sure that you book the correct language, we have mistakenly booked a different language. They have a person as a guide for some language and audio guides for others. But you usually can't get your preferred audio guide language if you booked the wrong one because they're limited. The inside of the building is very interesting, there are about 90 stairs to go to the upper rooms but an elevator is also available. Photos and videos are allowed everywhere except in the dome where the crown is.

I tried getting tickets one week in advance and they were sold out but I was fortunate enough to book a tour that included the parliament tour. The construction involved around 100,000 people and took 40 million bricks, 40 kilos of gold, and half a million precious stones and jewels used for decoration. The enormous structure contains about 700 rooms and a staggering 19 km of stairs and corridors, with overall 242 sculptures, both inside and outside, and 27 entrance gates. A 45min tour is available to various languages but need booking. Try to reserve a slot ASAP, via the site to avoid disappointment.

Touring the Hungarian Parliament Building was at the top of my to-do list during a visit to Budapest in early March 2023. Booked an early morning 8:30 am tour. An audio guide is included in the ticket price. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the building and Budapest. It is truly architecturally stunning. Tours must be booked online. Beautiful architecture for the 3rd largest Parliament in Europe. If you want to go on the tour of the inside definitely book ahead (probably 2 weeks), as the limited spots go very quickly. The view of this fabulous building from the Fishermans bastion is definitely worth the trip across the river.

Must see. Great architecture, and lots of history. Informative, fun audio tour. Saw changing of the guard at the Crown Jewels by happenstance, which was a bonus. Only downside was the disorganized ticketing process. Almost have to buy tickets beforehand if you want to go at a convenient time, but the young lady distributing the tickets was very disorganized. She gave one ticket away to the wrong person. If I hadn’t spoken up, someone who actually paid would have not been able to go in. But I did make a new friend out of the process :)

The Parliament Building in Budapest is simply breathtaking. The Neo-Gothic architecture is stunning, both from the outside and the inside. During my visit in July, I was fascinated by the opulent halls and the rich history that the building embodies. One of the main highlights of the city and rightly placed. It is one of the most beautiful locations to have a government office. There is a lot of history that goes behind this structure. The building is picturesque and it looks amazing from the other side of the river. I am a fan of its exteriors. The cafes under the buildings are well kept and cheaper compared to a comparable cafe you would find in the city. It is definitely something one can't miss.

Parliament is very beautiful and designed very well architectural. It’s very beautiful from outside and even looks stunning in night. If you want to visit inside reach on time and try to book tickets in advance, they have limited tickets and usually on weekends it’s sold out.

What a beautiful place.. do visit during sunset.. We visited during rains and the sky turned bluish Purple.. and the reflection of the building was so mesmerising… just loved it ..

Excellent place to spend a evening. Mesmerizing architectural wonder on the shores of Danube. Very well connections with public transportation. The view from the Buda castle and vice versa are also worth to mention. Some construction is going on at the moment, soon should be fully ready.

If you want to see the inside, make sure to book your tour at least one week in advance, maybe even a month in high season! Be on time and bring your printed tickets (you can print them on the spot, but it will save you time). After that - great visit, impressive place and friendly staff! Fully recommended!

Wow what an amazing place - a must see place to visit. On the Pest side by the Danube that looks amazing in the day as it does at night all lit up. Best to book tickets in advance to guarantee a ticket. Inside you get a guided audio tour and it is simply stunning. The walk up the staircase was beautiful. A lift is available for the less able. You will see the crown jewels at a distance (no photos allowed in this area) during your tour. Overall it was a beautiful and informative tour.

Wow! This building is great. We are staying at a hotel right in front of it and decided to give it a visit. It’s a very good example of the glorious times of Hungary. Very impressive details and craftsmanship. Everything is breathtaking there. Totally recommend

An absolute masterpiece inside and out - there is hardly a person on the planet who wouldn't be impressed by this splendor. I highly recommend an evening stroll in the dark by boat to see the Parliament in all its glory and lights. Visiting the Parliament from the inside is also a must. There were no tickets available for two weeks ahead in English, so we took tickets with a Spanish group. Although we didn't understand anything the guide was saying, we still managed to enjoy the interior beauty. Absolutely impressive.

Here are a few tips to know before you plan your trip for the Hungarian Parliament - Try to book the tickets online from their official website well in advance (2-3 weeks in advance) since the tickets get sold out very quickly. For e tickets, you need to exchange your e tickets with the physical tickets. Chances of getting a ticket on the spot from the ticket counter is very difficult. However, if you want to try, reach the ticket counter around 8 am in the morning (it's opening time) and you might get a few tickets for the day. The ticket counter does not sell advance tickets. They only sell tickets available for that day only. Use online booking as much as possible and plan weeks in advance. This will be a audio guided tour where in you receive a radio and a headphone. The tour is available in multiple European languages including English. Please Note - You can buy the tickets with any language available for a time slot, once you enter inside, once you get the audio guided machine, you have the option to select the language of your choice. Thus contradicting the entire idea of slots based on languages. Last but not the least, the tour is amazing.

Must visit when you are in Budapest. Be sure to buy the ticket a few weeks before you arrive. Very hard to get tickets. But even just walking around the ground of the parliament is very impressive. Be sure to visit in the morning and in the evening. Take a Danube river cruise if you have time. It really worth it

Unfortunately we didn't have a tour on the inside because was difficult with the little one,but we were impressed by the outside as well. This is easily one of the prettiest buildings in the world, and maybe the prettiest government building. It's modeled off of British Parliament in the neo Gothic style but is a couple of meters longer. At night the building illuminates and is a true beauty. The lights turn off well before sunrise so don't wake up to see them. The inside is as beautiful as the outside so consider booking a tour. It's worth the price and starts at the visitors center on the north side of the building.

Well, yes, totally worth it. Especially at night, I suggest you look for dock 5 and take the circle tour that now costs 1500huf/4€, and view the parliament building from the waterfront. Really amazing. It's looking awesome form every angle actually... Didn't have time to go in, but the outside is stunning enough.

An imposing building build in gothic architectural style on the right side of the Danube. It is one of the important buildings in Budapest that you will want to see. It is nice by day or by night,from close or from a boat trip. Enjoy.

Such a beautiful and ornate building. If visiting Hungary, you should definitely tour Parliament. Be warned, though; do not line up to go through security until the exact time of your tour. If you line up even 5 minutes early they will not let you through. This was not made very clear and if I had known, I would not have arrived so early. Enjoy!

What a marvelous building! What a great experience. Budapest Parliament is one of the nicest architectural buildings I had the pleasure of seeing. Great history, many detailed sculptures, paintings, and decorations make this an incredible site to see. I recommend it, definitely. I do, however, suggest purchasing tickets in advance to avoid any unpleasant waiting.

We had a tour of this historical building. Purchased the tour ticket on line but you still have to go ticket booth to get a physical ticket. Then the screen will tell you your tour time. Go through security line. Belt was not allowed. We received our audio guide and go scan the language choice. If you have mobility issue or stroller, you can ride an elevator. It was such a beautiful building with full of history. You can’t take a picture where the crown is displayed. Once you pass that area, you can take pictures again. Good tour and highly recommend. Tickets sold out quickly so I recommend to purchase ticket on line.
