This is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the world, and for good reason. We had a guided tour here and were at times astonished with the excellence in workmanship that went into this building. If you love architecture, this is indeed a place to visit. Tickets should be booked well in advance, or you will simply miss out. It is that popular. There is also a tram passing around the building, and we found it easy to travel there. The parliament, furthermore, has a good souvenir shop, but a bit pricey. Do visit it, there are a few unique items to purchase. Should you happen to visit Budapest, this is definitely a must visit.

The parliament is beautiful inside and out. It was worth visiting. I recommend you buy your tickets online. The tours are always guided with one or two people but they won't be talking as you will be listening to the headphones. Language is always optional. The guides will only be leading way and telling when to and when not to take photos. I highly recommend.

(Translated by Google) The antecedent of the Washington statue is that the Hungarians who emigrated to America erected a Kossuth statue in Cleveland in 1902, and then started a movement to have a statue of Washington in Budapest. The full-scale representation is due to this initiative. The classic bronze statue made by Gyula Bezerédi was inaugurated on September 16, 1906.

This building is one of the most iconic sites in Hungary and, if you're not planning on going inside, I'd highly recommend coming at night (before 11PM). The parliament building is most beautiful when lit up at night. The banks of the Danube at night is beautiful and filled with many romantic couples walking and sitting on benches. I'd highly recommend going for a stroll at night.

Amazing architecture. Shouldn’t be missed. You will enjoy the visit inside touring the diff halls & outside the building with views over the Danube for the Buda side or just enjoy a lovely walk around the building & enjoy the gardens & the well sculpted art works.

Tickets are usually not possible to get on the same day so make sure to get yours online at least one day in advance. Make sure that you book the correct language, we have mistakenly booked a different language. They have a person as a guide for some language and audio guides for others. But you usually can't get your preferred audio guide language if you booked the wrong one because they're limited. The inside of the building is very interesting, there are about 90 stairs to go to the upper rooms but an elevator is also available. Photos and videos are allowed everywhere except in the dome where the crown is.

One of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen. It’s very symmetrical and you can see it from approximately everywhere around the Danube. Once you go inside there are some guided tours (approximately 45 minutes) that can provide you with useful information about the parliament and history. They are offered in many languages including English, German, Spanish, Italian, etc. The view from inside the building is also breathtaking. If you are in Budapest a visit is really worthy!

One of the most amazing and gorgeous buildings I have been so far in Europe. Not just the parliament building, everything near by is making it better. River, beautifully lighted bridges and trams. It’s definitely an experience when you visit during Xmas. Must see for tourists!

Beautiful on the outside and inside. I would highly recommend getting tickets weeks in advance. I tried getting tickets one week in advance and they were sold out but I was fortunate enough to book a tour that included the parliament tour. There are a bit of stairs but if you can’t walk up the several flights you can request to use the elevator. You can take pictures except when you enter the room to see the crown. You do need to retain your ticket for your entire tour as you need it it exit the tour.

I visited many European cities, and have seen many huge buildings, but like this one, I've really never seen something alike. It's literally the most beautiful building I've ever seen; it's so majestic, so beautiful. In front of it is also a FANTASTIC museum, and also of course the Danube and the Buda part of the city.. A PERFECT combination ❤️

(Translated by Google) Bronze statue dedicated to the American President and founding father of the USA George Washington. Personally I perceived it as anonymous and totally devoid of a noteworthy artistic value, it almost disappears in the eyes of the park's patrons, instead kidnapped by the beauty of the city park itself. @ gargio76 (Original) Statua bronzea dedicata al Presidente americano e padre fondatore degli USA George Washington. Absolutely stunning building! The size and iconic architecture of this place make it one of the icons of Budapest. From every angle and from any distance, this is a visual experience like few. At night, it looks even more impressive and majestic. It is recommended to book a visit to the interior in advance. Amazing!

Wonderful architecture in Europe! It is Budapest's most recognizable building. From every angle, it appeared magnificent. Stunning location with trees, gardens, and of course historical landmarks. The architecture is huge and quite detailed. Stunning view of the entire building. Although I was unable to enter, I was able to appreciate it from the outside.

Book your ticket early for your language of choice. English tours fill quickly. Tickets can be easily purchased on line, but you must have a paper copy in hand to begin the tour. Arrive early and they will print a ticket for you. Note that there is no public wifi available. The Parliament Gift Shop is fabulous, providing nice quality souvenirs at a reasonable and fair price. The coffee shop provides light snacks, again at a reasonable price with pleasant seating to take a break either before or after your tour. Modern toilet facilities are available both inside the Visitor's center and just outside the doors. Security is efficient and respectful. If you are going on the tour a free cloak room is available to leave your backpack and jacket. I highly advise doing so. There is a lot of walking involved, but there is an elevator for those not up to the many steps. Pricey but well worth the cost.

If you are visiting Budapest you can not miss the guided tour of this impressive building. Be sure to book the ticket in advance on the Lonely Planet guide suggested site, you can save 10€! We spent 17€ instead of 27€ of the official site. The ONE HOUR (with audioguide) tour will lead you throw the most beautiful rooms of the building, you will be impressed by the gold and rich decorations.

Budapest is an exceptionally beautiful city, and its symbol is a Hungarian Parliament Building. The building is a real jewel. The monumental building with a stunning beauty. It was designed by Imre Steindl and completed in 1904. The exterior of the building is a mixture of several architectural styles - neogothic, neoromanic and neobarok - and that's what makes it so special. The building has about 700 rooms, but can be visited in the north wing of the building. Tickets are acceptable prices, 8 €, not too much for this masterpiece of architecture. The facade is decorated by 90 figures of famous Hungarian personality and 162 statues are still in the interior of the building. For decoration was used exclusively gold from 22 and 23 carats. Richly decorated rooms contain numerous art pieces and a special attraction is represented by the Holy Crown that is also on the coat of arms of Hungary. A look at the Parliament's building leaves no one indifferent and worth the admiration. Certainly inevitable to visit.

One of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen. It is the third biggest Parliament house in the world and one of the most beautiful parliaments according to me. Once you go inside there are some guided tours (approximately 45 minutes) that can provide you with useful information about the parliament and history. They are offered in many languages including English, German, Spanish, Italian, etc. It's good value for money at around 10 Euro. Certainly it looks much better from outside it's massive and very photogenic. The area around it is very well designed & landscaped. It’s very symmetrical and gigantic. You can not miss the sight from almost anywhere around the Danube from many kilometers. The inside view of this beautiful monstrous building is equally incredible. If you are in Budapest a visit is really a must. The night view from a far distance looks like a royal gigantic palace with a beautiful reflection in the pristine waters of Danube.

Truly a masterpiece, its architecture is unique. The building is very big, I just stopped and admire it from the outside, but I bet the interior is also breathtaking. Book your tickets in advance if you plan to visit the interior! Be aware of the crows, I got lucky twice in 10 minutes in front of the building…

Constructed in Neo Gothic style, this beautiful building holds Hungary's parliament since 19th century. Located on the banks of the Danube River, it is one of the largest parliament buildings housing more than 600 rooms. True beauty of the building can be captured from across Danube, either during Danube cruise or from Batthyany Square. It is possible to take a tour inside the building when assembly sessions are not being held, which is worth it. Awesome frescos, statues, chandeliers and stained glass decorations are some of the prime features of this building. One of the large halls contains Hungarian jewels collections, including Hungarian crown. The building is lit up in the evening with beautiful lights. Take an evening cruise and marvel the glory of one of the best parliament buildings in the world. This is also amongst the tallest buildings that can be spotted from Fishermen’s Bastion. It is advisable to book a tour inside the parliament in advance to avoid standing in long queues during peak season.

Omg. One if the gorgeous buildings that I have ever seen before. This building is so perfect inside and out and during daytime and nighttime. You need to make a reservation to go inside and the normal price for an adult is 6400 ft but its worth it. You should definitely visit this place when you come to Budapest.

A visit to the mighty and one of the most beautiful buildings in Europe, where the national parliaments are housed, reveals a piece of the astonishing history of the Hungarian nation and country. An extraordinary experience that leaves you speechless in many ways. In our case, the absolutely invaluable added value of the visit was the host (in the photo): witty, perfectly prepared and generous with information. I don't think I've ever met a better (tourist) guide in my life.

Signed up for official tour tickets ahead of time and bought them off of the Hungarian Parliament Building's official government website. The guided tours are offered in different languages depending on the time slots. The guides will lead the group informing you of where you can and cannot take photos. The explanations are all done using headphones and an audio player. The building is architecturally gorgeous inside and out so I recommend a visit. Note: there are bathrooms in the lobby where you have to put in tokens but right outside the visitor center, there are bathrooms for free.

This is one of the largest parliament buildings in the world as the Hungarians saw Westminster and wanted to make their own version but slightly larger and I believe it is actually bigger than Westminster by about 20 feet. I recommend seeing it at night though from a boat ride when it's lit up. It's really beautiful.

This is a very impressive building, outside and inside. I was really looking forward to visiting it. However, only a few sections are open to the public, and that was disappointing considering how big this place is. You are not allowed to take pictures of where the crown is, but the room is astonishing. Guides are very nice and knowledgeable. If you have a European passport, the entrance is about £12. If you don't, I think it's twice as that.

An impressive building on the banks of Danube. The architecture is imposing and majestic, resembling the architecture of the Parliament building in London and St.Paul’s cathedral. It is worth visiting day or night, it is impressive anyhow. We didn’t get to go inside but even from outside you have a lot to admire and view. There is a changing of the guards in the afternoon when they put down the flag too. A nice manifestation to watch.

It is not by mistake that it was declared to be the most beautiful parliament building in Europe.

(Translated by Google) This pretty little statue is a bronze sculpture made in 1906 by the famous and prolific Hungarian artist Gyula Bezerédi (1858-1925). It was financed by Hungarian emigrants at the beginning of the twentieth century. Beautiful, plenty of decorations, columns, arches, sculptures, paintings, stained glasses, all obviously well kept. However, it does lack the smell and appearance of something old (in fact, it isn't really). It's not possible to take pictures of the crown, which is guarded, the best piece! I'd still recommend a visit.

The Hungarian Parliament Building is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, one of Europe's oldest legislative buildings, and a notable landmark of Hungary. It is located in Budapest, on the bank of the Danube. One interesting fact about the Hungarian Parliament Building is that it is the largest parliament building in Europe by floor area, and the third largest in the world. It was built in the Gothic Revival style and features a central dome and a symmetrical facade. The building is 268 meters (879 feet) long and 123 meters (404 feet) wide, with 691 rooms and a total floor area of 18,000 square meters (193,750 square feet). It was completed in 1902 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Hungarian Parliament Building certainly is one of the most interesting historical monuments in Budapest. The building is magnificent. Just keep in mind that you can reach only the rest of the building. This is not normally publicly available. You can walk there on the riverside of Pest but the best views seems to be from further distance such as from Fisherman's Bastion or Gillért Hill if opened.

An architectural masterpiece, the Hungarian Parliament Building is one of the must see icons in Budapest. Its grandeur and beauty are truly awe-inspiring. The intricate details and stunning design make it a must-visit landmark in Budapest. My family didn't have a tour inside due to scheduling issues but we were just as impressed from the outside. One of the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen. I visited London, Berlin, Cracow, Warsaw, Gdansk, Paris, Montpellier, Madrid, Lapland and many other cities in Europe. It is very difficult to find such a beautiful building, it is even better during the night because it is illuminated (its colour is gold!) To be honest, only monuments in Italy were more beautiful

One of the best architecture examples! Haven’t seen a parliamentary building like this before. The near by art pieces are equally interesting. Since its located near the lake, the fresh breezes keep you moving. Once done exploring this, you can take the ferry ride to cross the lake and go to the Pest side.

The Hungarian Parliament Building (Hungarian: Országház, pronounced [ˈorsaːghaːz], which translates to House of the Country or House of the Nation), also known as the Parliament of Budapest after its location, is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, a notable landmark of Hungary, and a popular tourist destination in Budapest. It is situated on Kossuth Square in the Pest side of the city, on the eastern bank of the Danube. It was designed by Hungarian architect Imre Steindl in neo-Gothic style and opened in 1902. It has been the largest building in Hungary since its completion.

The building is located in the Kosos Lagos square, on the bank of the Danube, today is the largest building in Hungary, and is still the tallest building in Budapest. In 1873 Budapest announced the intention to establish a new representative system in the parliament building, expressing the sovereignty of the nation. Construction began in 1885 and the building was opened on the 1000th anniversary of the country in 1896, and construction was completed in 1904. About a thousand people participated in the construction, using 40 million bricks, half a million gems and 40 kilograms (88 pounds) of gold. The Parliament is accessed using Line 2 of the Budapest Metro, from the Lagos Kossuth Square Station. In front of the building is an equestrian statue of Francis II, and there is also a statue of Attila Joseph on the side of the Parliament building. (Translated by Google) Cool!, We went to Budapest in May 2018. At that time, there was Labor Day and you could move around freely on foot around Parliament. Great building. The parliament is built in the neo-gothic style, although similarities to the gothic style are visible. Beautiful and extraordinary proportionality and harmony of the Parliament buildings, the omnipresent vastness, the number of slender towers and colorful stained glass windows. From a historical point of view, you can read that the Parliament was built around 17 years, and the architect of this magnificent building, which is the Parliament, was Imre Steindl (information about Hungarian architects can be found on the Internet). We had the opportunity to talk to the residents of Budapest who briefly told us the history of the city. According to their information, at the end of the 19th century it was decided to merge Palau, Buda and Pest as one city, the city authorities decided that the new united metropolis would need a common denominator - which was Parliament. The first cornerstone was laid in 1885 and the work was completed in 1904. In 1886, the first session of the Parliament was held on the occasion of the grand celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the Hungarian state. It is a positive impression to be able to see the Parliament from every perspective from the land and river sides. I recommend! (Original) Super!, Do Budapesztu pojechaliśmy w maju 2018 roku. Polecam!

How did a statue of George Washington come to stand in Budapest? On December 4, 1851, Lajos Kossuth – perhaps the most famous Hungarian politician – landed in the harbor of New York City. More than 200,000 people awaited for the arrival of the one dubbed the “Great Hungarian.” The New York Times wrote that no similar event in national history could compare to his visit. After his arrival, Kossuth stayed in the U.S. for seven months to gain political and diplomatic influence for his motherland. So successful were his efforts that newspapers compared him to great patriots like Lafayette and Washington...

It is one of the most beautiful building I have ever visited. Definitely a must visit. Everything from inside and outside is beautiful. Architecture is amazing. The guided tour which is included in the ticket price (Non EU citizen) 10.50€ is really a must do in Budapest. Our Guide was very knowledgeable and explained us everything. Use online portal for buying the ticket since they have limited places and every hour with different languages so be sure you choose the right language for the tour.

beautiful atmosphere. to visit her in days and at night. super recommended the boat ride at sunset, from which it is possible to admire the perfect artificial lighting that makes the parliament a luminous stone.

One of the most beautiful buildings I have seen. The architecture is amazing day and night, with a stunning show of lights during the night (my favourite view). I highly recommend visiting this place. The views are breathtaking especially when you see it up close.

It's an UNESCO world heritage site...not a lot more needs to be said. The entire site is immaculately restored and maintained. Well worth the price of admission. Book ahead of time though so you can choose a tour in your preferred language...

I couldn't believe this could be the parliament. The place is beautiful and does not have a gloomy atmosphere. At least, there was no problem of not being able to see the building closely as in Turkey! I'm leaving a collective memory photo here.

It’s so pretty during the night hours, it’s well lit and there’s a lot of space to walk around, there’s also a lot of benches to sit at all around the area and you can see it from all sides.

With the one word - Amazing! This building is the one of the most beautiful buildings in my whole life. It has really nice and detailed architecture. You can enjoy the beautiful architecture of this amazing building from very close and detailed look, also so far away. Nice view to the Danube River. My favourite place in Budapest and Hungary!

Beautiful, it looks really nice, I even met Viktor Orbán, he's such a cool guy and he's also thicc. But it's hella expensive to go inside. Well, it's glorious even from the outside. Very cool, deffinitely recommend, go there and say hi to Orbán! 4/5

One of the most beautiful and stunning buildings. From afar and from close up, it looks gorgeous. At night, it looks even more impressive, when it lights up. It is recommended to book a visit into interior of the building.

Seeing the second biggest Parlament in the whole world is worth it. It is so magical. I can't imagine how they could built this enormous building. This is not just a building but an art, an art that is out of this world. So gorgeous! Fell in love with it especially the view at night! It is a must visit place in Budapest.

For me, this was the best place i visited in budapest. The architecture is very intricate and grand. Great view across the building. there was a visitor/tourist center downstairs where you can read about some history. There we stayed a bit to eat lunch and rest our feet 😅. I'll definitely visit the place again when I'm in town.

Wonderful architecture in Budapest! It is Budapest's most recognizable building. So detailed and huge architecture, from every angle it appeared gorgeous. Great location on Danube, with trees, gardens, and of course historical landmarks. Stunning view of the entire building. For entrance you should buy a ticket, it is recommended to buy it online. You will enjoy!

Has to be the most impressive parliament building I have seen anywhere! The building is just immense in every way. I couldn't go inside as they were tours that day, but even so, it's amazing from the outside too. Location for photographs is really cool as it's near the river and the shoe monument. Definitely visit here if in Budapest!

  • 5/5 Alex S. 1 year ago on Google
The Budapest parliament is a jaw dropping building. I have no idea about the history behind it but it's just a marvel. You can go on a guided tour to see the interior or walk around it or go on a Danube cruise during sunset and shoot amazing photos.

  • 5/5 Alberto P. 1 year ago on Google
The parliament of Budapest is one of the most stunning attraction in the capital city. I strongly suggest to go there to appreciate the outside view during sunset. In my opinion the best view of the parliament is right on the other end of the Danube bank (in Buda). When I visited Budapest, the parliament was illuminated until 10 pm, so I strongly encourage whoever is interested in taking night picture to do that before that time. The parliament also offers a short inside tour during which you can have the opportunity to take a look at the royal crown and also the former higher chamber of the parliament.

Very nice building and big. The architecture is fascinatig. Public toilets are available. Infront is a water dispenser which is a lovely idea. You can take a tour through the Parliament and inside is also a Parliament museum.

Hungarian Parliament with its spectacular architectural marvel is the heart of Budapest city. With a great history of war and many kingdoms which have come and gone, this has set a new path for today's Hungary. There are tours available to know the in-depth history of the parliament. The Crown jewel of Hungary the Crown is also situated in the center of the parliament and is a rear sight. A must-visit for all the tourists who love to hear about history. The shows are in different languages like Russian, English, Spanish, Hungarian, German, French, etc. There is a tram and metro station nearby.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Hungarian Parliament Building in Budapest, and it left me in awe of its sheer beauty and historical significance. This architectural masterpiece is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to the city. From the moment I laid eyes on the building's magnificent exterior, I was captivated by its grandeur. The intricate Gothic Revival design, adorned with statues, spires, and arches, showcases the architectural brilliance of Imre Steindl. It stands proudly on the banks of the Danube River, creating a picture-perfect postcard scene.

  • 5/5 Aravind R. 10 months ago on Google
The Budapest Parliament Building is an absolute must-see! The Gothic Revival architecture is breathtaking, both inside and out. The historical significance, riverfront location, and accessible facilities make it a top attraction. Don't miss this awe-inspiring landmark when in Budapest!

The seat of the Hungarian Parliament is a massive Neo-Gothic edifice resting on the eastern bank of the river Danube. This stately piece of architecture is by far the most recognizable landmark of Budapest, being the largest building in Hungary and one of the oldest of its kind in Europe. Symbolizing the country’s newly-found political unity, it was built in 1896, just in time for the celebration of Hungary's millennial anniversary. The construction involved around 100,000 people and took 40 million bricks, 40 kilos of gold, and half a million precious stones and jewels used for decoration. The enormous structure contains about 700 rooms and a staggering 19 km of stairs and corridors, with overall 242 sculptures, both inside and outside, and 27 entrance gates. A 45min tour is available to various languages but need booking. Try to reserve a slot ASAP, via the site to avoid disappointment.

Touring the Hungarian Parliament Building was at the top of my to-do list during a visit to Budapest in early March 2023. Booked an early morning 8:30 am tour. An audio guide is included in the ticket price. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the building and Budapest. It is truly architecturally stunning. Tours must be booked online. Time slots for tours during peak hours fill up fast so it is a good idea to plan ahead. Make time to tour the Hungarian Parliament Building when visiting beautiful Budapest.

  • 5/5 Thomas J. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful architecture for the 3rd largest Parliament in Europe. If you want to go on the tour of the inside definitely book ahead (probably 2 weeks), as the limited spots go very quickly. The view of this fabulous building from the Fishermans bastion is definitely worth the trip across the river.

  • 4/5 Steven W. 9 months ago on Google
Must see. Great architecture, and lots of history. Informative, fun audio tour. Saw changing of the guard at the Crown Jewels by happenstance, which was a bonus. Only downside was the disorganized ticketing process. Almost have to buy tickets beforehand if you want to go at a convenient time, but the young lady distributing the tickets was very disorganized. She gave one ticket away to the wrong person. If I hadn’t spoken up, someone who actually paid would have not been able to go in. But I did make a new friend out of the process :)

The Parliament Building in Budapest is simply breathtaking. The Neo-Gothic architecture is stunning, both from the outside and the inside. During my visit in July, I was fascinated by the opulent halls and the rich history that the building embodies. The guided tour was informative, providing insights into the political significance of the Parliament. The view of the Danube River from the Parliament building is spectacular, especially during sunset. It is definitely a highlight of my visit to Budapest and a must-see for anyone exploring the city.

One of the main highlights of the city and rightly placed. It is one of the most beautiful locations to have a government office. There is a lot of history that goes behind this structure. The building is picturesque and it looks amazing from the other side of the river. I am a fan of its exteriors. The cafes under the buildings are well kept and cheaper compared to a comparable cafe you would find in the city. It is definitely something one can't miss.

Excellent place to spend a evening. Mesmerizing architectural wonder on the shores of Danube. Very well connections with public transportation. The view from the Buda castle and vice versa are also worth to mention. Some construction is going on at the moment, soon should be fully ready.

If you want to see the inside, make sure to book your tour at least one week in advance, maybe even a month in high season! Be on time and bring your printed tickets (you can print them on the spot, but it will save you time). After that - great visit, impressive place and friendly staff! Fully recommended!

Wow what an amazing place - a must see place to visit. On the Pest side by the Danube that looks amazing in the day as it does at night all lit up. Best to book tickets in advance to guarantee a ticket. Inside you get a guided audio tour and it is simply stunning. The walk up the staircase was beautiful. A lift is available for the less able. You will see the crown jewels at a distance (no photos allowed in this area) during your tour. Overall it was a beautiful and informative tour.

An absolute masterpiece inside and out - there is hardly a person on the planet who wouldn't be impressed by this splendor. I highly recommend an evening stroll in the dark by boat to see the Parliament in all its glory and lights. Visiting the Parliament from the inside is also a must. There were no tickets available for two weeks ahead in English, so we took tickets with a Spanish group. Although we didn't understand anything the guide was saying, we still managed to enjoy the interior beauty. Absolutely impressive.

Very beautiful and magnificent structure. We booked a English guided tour of the Hungarian Parliament Building which lasted for about an hour and half. The tour was amazing and you get to know some interesting facts about the parliament building and Hungary history. This is really a must to go destination for Budapest. Here are a few tips to know before you plan your trip for the Hungarian Parliament - Try to book the tickets online from their official website well in advance (2-3 weeks in advance) since the tickets get sold out very quickly. For e tickets, you need to exchange your e tickets with the physical tickets. Chances of getting a ticket on the spot from the ticket counter is very difficult. However, if you want to try, reach the ticket counter around 8 am in the morning (it's opening time) and you might get a few tickets for the day. The ticket counter does not sell advance tickets. They only sell tickets available for that day only. Use online booking as much as possible and plan weeks in advance. This will be a audio guided tour where in you receive a radio and a headphone. The tour is available in multiple European languages including English. Please Note - You can buy the tickets with any language available for a time slot, once you enter inside, once you get the audio guided machine, you have the option to select the language of your choice. Thus contradicting the entire idea of slots based on languages. Last but not the least, the tour is amazing.

The best way to see the Budapest Parliament is to take a guided tour. Tours are available in multiple languages and depart throughout the day. The Budapest Parliament is a stunning architectural marvel situated along the Danube River. Its neo-Gothic design and intricate details make it a captivating landmark. The interior is equally impressive, with ornate chambers and a rich history. The guided tours provide fascinating insights into Hungary's political past. The nighttime view, when the building is illuminated, adds a touch of magic to the overall experience. A must-visit for history and architecture enthusiasts.

This is easily one of the prettiest buildings in the world, and maybe the prettiest government building. It's modeled off of British Parliament in the neo Gothic style but is a couple of meters longer. At night the building illuminates and is a true beauty. The lights turn off well before sunrise so don't wake up to see them. The inside is as beautiful as the outside so consider booking a tour. It's worth the price and starts at the visitors center on the north side of the building.

Well, yes, totally worth it. Especially at night, I suggest you look for dock 5 and take the circle tour that now costs 1500huf/4€, and view the parliament building from the waterfront. Really amazing. It's looking awesome form every angle actually... Didn't have time to go in, but the outside is stunning enough.

Such a beautiful and ornate building. If visiting Hungary, you should definitely tour Parliament. Be warned, though; do not line up to go through security until the exact time of your tour. If you line up even 5 minutes early they will not let you through. This was not made very clear and if I had known, I would not have arrived so early. Enjoy!

What a marvelous building! What a great experience. Budapest Parliament is one of the nicest architectural buildings I had the pleasure of seeing. Great history, many detailed sculptures, paintings, and decorations make this an incredible site to see. I recommend it, definitely. I do, however, suggest purchasing tickets in advance to avoid any unpleasant waiting.

We had a tour of this historical building. Purchased the tour ticket on line but you still have to go ticket booth to get a physical ticket. Then the screen will tell you your tour time. Go through security line. Belt was not allowed. We received our audio guide and go scan the language choice. If you have mobility issue or stroller, you can ride an elevator. It was such a beautiful building with full of history. You can’t take a picture where the crown is displayed. Once you pass that area, you can take pictures again. Good tour and highly recommend. Tickets sold out quickly so I recommend to purchase ticket on line.
