Portions are bit small for the price, but food is alright! However 3 out of the 4 staff who served us was making faces the whole duration of our stay. Also ignoring us anytime we try to call them. Reading other reviews, its not just ‘a bad day’ for the staff it seems. Definitely a no go for me in the future =|

Was really excited to eat at Dobrumba on our last night in Budapest, but left with a really negative feeling. The first 30 minutes was nice - good table, decent service, nice cocktail, really nice first course. But after we waited for almost half an hour for the next round of drinks and another half hour for the main course (which wasn’t super great, but just ok), we were really disappointed. It was visible in other tables as well that the wait times were just bizarre. So overall (and judging by other reviews too) the food is nice and perhaps you’ll have a nice experience if you are lucky to not have the tall hipster guy as your waiter. Definitely book a table ahead - it was full even on a Tuesday evening!

Good food, lemon chicken is quite spicy. Hard to find free table but we were lucky. VERY NICE service! I love their lemonade. Price of main 2500-3000 ft, lemonade 800 ft.

We had our first meal in Budapest here. nice atmosphere and great food! We have had lunch there and got so full. The stew of lamb and bell peppers tasted amazing, and the fried chicken was very juicy, I also liked the fried rice and guess it was seasoned by some saffron. Do recommend it!

Seriously this place is overhyped. Of course the dishes itself look good, but the taste is mediocre (I’ve been to the middle eastern countries, so I know what I’m talking about). Mentioning the service - waitresses really didn’t care about the tables. It was really funny seeing them to scroll through their phone by the bar. When we asked for the forgotten dessert , the waitress was grumpy. For the record what we ordered: olives, lemon chicken, tea and dessert. Olives and the cake were tasty, but the chicken was nothing. Prices are fair enough.

✅ Groovy, yet very cosy atmosphere. Effective and courteous service. Great food: classic Middle-eastern/Mediterranean dishes interpreted with love and prepared with high quality ingredients. Lots of gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian/vegan options and excellent bar. Pricing very reasonable for the quality offered. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended.

It’s my second time here and I simply loved the food! I ate many shakshoukas in my life coming from Turkey, but this one was especially delicious. If you expect a service that asks you every 5 min how you’re doing, this isn’t the right place for you. It’s definitely a place for alternative people who aren’t in a hurry and can entertain themselves. The music is great and funky. Shortly: bring time, chilled vibes and a tongue that loves different spices.

Very unique restaurant with amazing food. We didn't know a lot about the mediterranean dishes, so the waiter recommended us some. All of them were great.

We used to love this restaurant and have had frequent deliveries from here lately. Unfortunately, the quality during lockdown has suffered greatly. In many orders, a part of the dish is missing and the ingredients are arranged without love. However, if you are lucky, the food is delicious as before - but quality also means consistency.

One of the best. Really nice vegetarian options and lamb meet was also very good. Clean and nice. Friendly service. Good prices and food quality. Wines are very nice. Littlebit loud because of the music and restaurant is very popular. Maybe some fabrics on the wall?

(Translated by Google) I ate food with spicy and unspeakable names. It was a good experience, but I prefer to stay with the classic flavors. I’d say pocket sticky, we’re going to have lunch out of 10,000. The service was not intrusive, not pushy, they were simply kind.

The mezze was good, the waiters polite and gave us seats which we'd not reserved. The desserts were a delightful to eat, added for free as we'd ordered for ~2000 HuF. House wine is plenty good if you want to try. Prices of the dishes were apt for the dishes and reputation of the place. On Booking : We did try to call before, the phone wasn't picked , the message on messenger was replied after many hours with message that they get booked 6-7 days in advance. So call / message much ahead of time if you want place here.

Recommended restaurant in the center of Budapest. We ordered two plates of falafel, eggplant hummus, pita bread, pumpkin soup, and pecorino cheese. We ate delicious cheese cake for dessert. All the food was exquisite. The place is cozy and has a special atmosphere. The service is attentive and they speak English. There are many drink options.

A very cool and laid back atmosphere in this hype restaurant serving Middle Eastern food. Every single one we tried had a great flavour. Cocktails are also good and desserts were nice, yet at the end of our favourite things of the meal. Price is higher than other restaurants around, 30€ per person on average. A good experience.

Absolutely amazing food. The prawn dish was delicious, Israeli salad looks simple, but it was so yummy! Basically, everything exceeded my expectations. I wish I could go back there, but this is my last night in Budapest. Service was also great. Friend and nice staff. Try it!

Finally had a good meal with good service in Budapest. It was my last dinner in the city and couldn’t have picked a better place. Despite the fact that I was dining solo, the staff went out of their way to find a table for me, which hadn’t happened in other restaurants. Food was like a hug to the soul and a very well served portion. The only thing I wish is I had eaten there more often.

A great unexpected place with special food. As a person that appreciates a good dish with flavors from home I found this location having a great taste and very close flavors to what I like. We all ate different thing and all were so happy about our selection. The place is warm, nicely decorated and the service was great.

Guys starters were amazing, delicious! But why you give us starter and the main dish in the same time??!! No one asked us if everything is okay or if we want whole order in the same time. Because of that our main course were cold. I had hummus and falafel so it was okay, but my boyfriend orderd hot starter and hot main course. His hot main course was cold. We wait for food 50minutes,70% of tables was busy, so we have no idea whats going on.. What about food... i gave 2* for the starters baba ganus very good cold starter and my boyfriend orderd chicken liver both are good and we can recomended to go there to order starters. During the weekdays they have special lunch offer if you spent more than 1500 hun you can choose dessert or soup of the day. We took both - soup was cold, made of zuccini it was something new and good to try. Dessert was weird ;) sour cream on the top of the cake wasn't good, but the cake was okay. That what 2* one for starters and one for special lunch menu.

Wow. Best meal in Budapest? Strong contender. It helps that I love Middle Eastern cuisine, but everything on the table here was absolutely beautiful and delicious. Service was on point and the venue was just the ride side of hip for me. The spiced and hibiscus lemonades were also fantastic.

Really delicious food and quite reasonable prices too. We ordered the mezze and a few other dishes. We found the serving sizes generous and were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the accompanying breads. Each mouthful was a delight. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars rather than 5 is because the prices on Wolt are more expensive than those listed on the website and you can't order directly from them (you must order from Wolt) so it's actually impossible to get the advertised prices with the current lockdown/curfew. Seems a bit unfair.

Excellent dining! The food tasted fresh and masterfully seasoned. The restaurant gets busy so a reservation is highly recommended. We got lucky and snagged the last available table and then saw about 10 couples turned away while we dined.

I have been here several times and it is consistently very good. The food is delicious, and while it is not cheap by Budapest standards, I believe that it is very cheap for the quality of food and service they deliver. You simply cannot go wrong getting anything on their menu. Personal favorites are the Goat Labneh Zhoug and the Basboussa cake. Be warned that you need to make a reservation at least 10 days in advance to get a table at a reasonable lunch or dinner hour. Dobrumba is at the top of my recommendations for places to eat in Budapest.

(Translated by Google) We had a very pleasant dinner here. We got really tasty and plentiful portions. The waiters are cute, fast, punctual. Although the place is more of a ruin pub, there is no reason to complain. I think the price-value ratio is absolutely good. I can only recommend it to those who like to leave the traditional Hungarian cuisine and adventure in the world of flavors. (Original) Egy nagyon kellemes vacsorát töltöttünk el itt. Igazán ízletes és bőséges adagokat kaptunk. A pincérek aranyosak, gyorsak, pontossak. Bár a hely inkább egy romkocsma jellegű, nincs ok a panaszra. Az ár érték arány szerintem teljesen jó. Amazing food as always. Too bad the service was bad. The two waiters there seemed as if they have taken something prior to their shift. They didn’t have basic communication skills, couldn’t explain about the dishes or drinks and seemed very disoriented. The dessert was placed on the table before all the empty plates were removed. Then they just left us sitting with all the plates and the dessert. Only after I had asked them did they do so. The restaurant wasn’t that busy and the waiter was just standing there without anything to do.

This place is usually very busy so I would recommend making a reservation in case you want to eat here. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is so nice and attentive, but the food is absolutely brilliant. I was a little bit disappointed in Lemon Chicken Tangier, since it was a bit bland with spices, but everything else, from meze to main dishes was perfect.

We ordered Shakshuka with minced lamb and Piri-piri chicken with tomato rice. Both were delicious. Shakshuka also came with bread and there could be a bit more of it though. We drank draught IPA beer and a winter lemonade which was something quite special, definitely worth a try. For a dessert we chose a Basboussa and a date brownie and Basboussa was really good and fresh but brownie was missing something for me. Overall a very good experience. Good food, nice atmosphere, kind staff and fair prices. I'm glad we chose to go here.

So good we went twice! The mezze were outstanding and the mains were just as amazing. For us the highlights were the muhammara dip and basbousa semolina cake. The staff are all awesome too! Favourite dine in option while in Budapest 👍🏻

The food was ok. I didn’t taste something special. It didn’t really meet my expectations but it wasn’t bad either. The portions were small and I found it a bit overpriced. The place has a character and it’s nice environment to have your lunch/dinner. The staff is plenty and i am sure they could offer a bit more better experience to guests.

Went there for lunch and it was well worth it. They have free dessert for weekdays lunch time and they were super delicious. Portion is fairly big as well. The waitresses are friendly. Will definitely visit again .

Excellent food, the BEST I have had in what Lebanese cuisine is concerned. However, the service is very poor because the servers are inattentive, curt and unprofessional. But it seems to be a more… Budapest thing… so overall, a great place to eat, if you don’t expect curtesy.

Such a lovely aesthetic and the food was equally amazing. We were passing by and decided to come here for breakfast. Options were slightly limited as they didn't have some of the choices available. But the food we did choose was super healthy, refreshing and yummy!

Decent meal with some interesting twists. We had green pee humus. The flat bread was decent, but not as good as Lebanese. They may be trying to cover too many countries.

Dobrumba is one of my most favourite places to eat in Budapest. The food is high quality and always fresh and tasty. The staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful so you dont have to worry when ordering. Also the atmosphere of this place is unique. Would definitely recommend a visit for everybody.

Was a great experience altogether! Easy walk-in, fast sitting. As for the food, the majestic hummus platter was quite well-balanced (and portion-wise big), lacking only a bit in the quantity of hummus, considering. The labneh al’zataar was excellent & well-seasoned. Good service, nice environment (on the hipstery side). Fair prices, what’s not to like?

Very easygoing mediterranian vibe with amazing food at a very good price point. Food was great, Mahamura amazing, the hummus very well made, the shakshuka well seasoned with spices, delicious tapenade, okay baba ganoush, exceptional labneh, fresh isreali salad and superb falafels. Service was very nice and friendly. We had almost everything (food, coffee, desserts, lemonades, wine) and paid less than 20€ per person.

Absolutely delicious! By far, our fave restaurant we visited in Budapest. Highly recommend the gambas and the arais (toasted flatbread with minced lamb!!).

Very nice restaurant, reservation is recommended. The staff is well trained and there is a good atmosphere. The food was good but not excellent, i have the feeling that some spices are missing. The quality itself is great!

this is one of the best restaurants i’ve tried in my life, simply amazing. the dips, all of them, but specially the hummus, the one with aubergines, and the one that has yogurt, were unbelievable. big portions, really filling. would recommend the plate with which you can try 5 dips, it’s, for me, the best of the menu.

Easily the best place I ate while in Budapest. Every item we tried was exceptional. Get a lot of the Mezi and mix and match. Definitely the way to go

The food is so incredible and I really recommend the place. The staff is friendly and kind. You don’t need to wait too much for the food, the drinks are also good absolutely the coconut tea is fantastic.

Too slow service, it took 50 min to serve us three main plates, while they were serving other table who came after us Food is ok, something different to european food with middle eastern touch, i recommend shakshouka with lamb, chicken shawerma, chicken liver. The portions are satisfying but for prices it’s abit higher

Pretty good food! I got the soup and my friend for the shawarma with mushrooms and neither of us were disappointed. Also very happy about the free dessert that came with lunch!

Delicious Middle Eastern dishes in the heart of Budapest We had lunch here and so happy of our choice. I am vegan which was not a challenge at all as the menu is rich in vegetarian and vegan options as well. I decided to try their shakshuka and they were flexible enough to prepare it for me without eggs. As it was lunch and they have an offer of receiving a seasonal soup complimentary if you make an order above certain amount, I got a beetroot soup as well which was equally delicious.

Very interesting dishes and nice service. We ordered a lot! The olives were the only ones not to our taste (not bad, just not the way we like them)

Wonderful food with authentic middle-eastern cuisine. Atmosphere, setting, ambience, music and staff are all big positives here. It’s a lovely place to just sit and absorb all the wonderment around you whilst sharing laughs in the presence of great company. Hummus was brilliant, as expected. Lamb was also interesting, and as a Welsh person we know our lamb dishes extremely well. That said, the only thing that could be improved is pricing relative to the rest of the city. This is worthy of a visit, but note that it’s unlikely to be a cheap or moderately priced visit.

On the first evening on our holidays in Budapest, we came across this cute restaurant by chance. We didn't have a reservation, but the staff managed to get a table for us. At "Dobrumba" you get a nice variety of middle eastern dishes and it's presented in a very appealing way. The restaurant itself has a nice bohemian and laid back vibe, which we really liked. Great experience!
