Fabulous little bunker bar. Went for after dinner drinks for 4, got a table fairly quickly. Very friendly and helpful bartender sorted out some of their smashing cocktails, and they even entertained some others on request that weren't on the menu. Highly recommend for a night out in Budapest

A nice speakeasy in the heart of Budapest. It’s a tiny but very popular bar in the heart of Jewish district so I highly recommend to make a reservation as during the 2 hours we spent there we’ve seen lots of people being told they are full and that they can recommend another bar. The staff is great and very friendly, they seem nice to talk to and they know their stuff. The menu seems very small at first (even though they do have cocktails dedicated to vaccine types) but you can ask the waiter for a recommendation for something that’s not on the menu and they will definitely offer you a great option. The cocktails are nice, if not a bit too overpriced considering the service fee they add on top of the bill. Overall, I’d recommend to visit at least once for the experience with a classic speakeasy music.

Nice Bar with amazing drinks, super friendly staff and cozy ambience! For sure the drink is maybe a bit more expensive than in another bar but therefore you have quality and you should enjoy it. If you‘re looking for a bar to get drunk fast and cheap you‘re wrong here! In this bar it‘s all about the pleasure and the ambience.

Very cute little bar with fantastic service! There are two parts, a livelier bar in the front and a cozy hidden part in the back (I think called the Hudson?). They had slightly different menus so we tried both out. The back part was very intimate. The bartender was so lovely and explained to us how we chose a drink based off our preferences on the flavour map (recipes are on the back but that was slightly “cheating”). Drinks were amazing and so fancy. You could tell the bartender loves making drinks and that it’s a real craft to them. The front part of the bar was livelier and we just chose 2 drinks from the menu which sounded yummy to us as in a regular bar. Definitely a fun spot for a drink! If i were to visit Budapest again I would come back for sure.

You enter a small cozy bar, stylish, dressed like English gentleman in 20 century host welcomes you, takes your coat and offers the seat. We set at the bar Bartender made us delicious custom cocktails based on different gin with hints of flavor from us. Music was a bit too loud, but it didn’t spoil the atmosphere and impression from the place. Highly recommend

A hidden gem in Budapest. Didn’t expect this at all when we randomly walked in here. Great service and atmosphere. The fact that they make you whatever you want as long as they have the ingredients is really cool. I had a pisco sour and the missing nyan cat, both were delicious with the latter having a really interesting and smoky taste. There are more experimental crazy cocktails that I have yet to try. Definitely a new regular spot for us.

We had a nice evening here. We didn't have a reservation, but got a nice place at the bar with a good view on the cocktail creation by the bartenders. Drinks were excellent and original, liked the fact that they help you pick or decide which cocktail you want based on your personal taste. Playlist was good as well and liked the fact that they had a cloakroom at the entrance.

Very special atmosphere with jazz music, kind waiters and tasty cocktails. Come here if you want to enjoy a good conversation in an intimate setting, listen to good tunes and drink quality and original alcohol beverages. I came here twice and I recommend it a lot.

This is a fantastic, slightly subterranean place with bartenders should enough not to need (or have) a menu. Frankie was fantastic and made me three excellent drinks with just a few seeds of info. Stayed longer than I'd planned just to see what was next. Highly recommend. Good option for atmosphere in an area filled with dives. Bonus: Barber shop in the back.

Wow is all I can say about this place. From stepping into an underground temple of amazingness, to the perfectly executed drinks and outstanding service, this place is heaven on Earth. Make sure you book as this place is super popular, and there are lot of people turned away at the door. I will be back.

Cocktail bar with a brilliant concept! We came here twice during our few days in Budapest. They got cards for their drink selections, containing the ingredients, level of alcohol, etc. Like I said - brilliant! The team was absolutely friendly. The vibes of this place is just right. A must-visit cocktail bar when you're in Budapest.

If you want a cocktail in Budapest, just come here. Don't think about it, just come. It's amazing. Probably the best cocktail bar I've ever been to. The music is great, the setting is awesome, the staff are next level perfect. And to top it all off, the drinks are a different level. You can choose from their card menu. I didn't have one drink that wasn't amazing, however, they accept requests, and that was where the magic is. Ask them to make you a drink you like. You will get the best version of that drink ever. I can't rate it highly enough.

I can highly recommend this bar. We had several cocktails during our stay and both the classics and the house creations were excellent. Likewise, the service was friendly and could give competent advice on the choice of drinks. In any case, it is a very good idea to reserve a table in advance. We saw many spontaneous guests who had to be turned away because the bar was fully booked for the evening.

Lovely place with great decor and nice atmosphere. Sweet beats and not too loud topped with awesome cocktails. Will definitely be back!

Amazing cocktails, with a twist. The menu is a deck of cards with very descriptive details, drink genre, allergies, alcohol volume, glass served in, and so forth. The service was amazing, the ambience and vibes were above expected.

We had a wonderful time in this little speakeasy style cocktail bar in Budapest. The staff were really helpful and explained the menu to us (the menu comes on cards colored to the style of drink you like). I never thought I would enjoy a cocktail based on pizza dough for example but it was absolutely delicious. We stayed for a few cocktails each before heading out to dinner, lots of restaurants close by so a great location for pre or post dinner drinks. The basement feel gives the place a really cool atmosphere. It's a small place and got busy so I would definitely recommend booking in advance.

Great cocktail bar. You choose your cocktail from the deck. The deck gives you all information about your drink. Bar tables are not comfortable, maybe only for one drink. Cocktails are pricier than other places but I think they also taste better. I would definitely visit this place again.

In 2022 they had a great sake cocktail that we really enjoyed. Didn't notice it on the new menu this time round. They still had the pizza dough cocktail that we also remembered. This time round we had an avocado tequila cocktail that was creamy and tasty. We also challenged the bartender to create something custom with full freedom. It was a unique and well made drink.

Very atmospheric basement speakeasy with moody lighting and 1940s and 1950s music. Novel playing card deck drinks menu with lots of information about each drink, sorted into categories such as fruity, sour and dry. Low/ no alcohol options available. Staff friendly and helpful.

A speakeasy type of bar. Great selection of classic cocktails and signature cocktails. The staff are friendly, attentive and take great pride in their craft. They are super helpful when dealing with allergies. The prices are similar to other cocktail bars in the area.

Such a great bar, staff is absolutely wonderful, incredible service and attention to detail. One of the most welcoming places we visited. Such a clever concept, executed perfectly. Good for an intimate night or a get together with friends.

If I could give this place a 6 out of 5 I would! As soon as I walked into the bar I was greeted with this warm enthuastic hello from one of the staff, making me feel immediately at home. Next he explained their menu which is on a set of cards, which I thought was such a great way to have a menu. I love sweeter drinks so the cards really help narrow down your choices for you. I had 2 cocktails, but were excellent. Highly recommend this place, so much so that I will be back tonight.

Last time when I’ve been here 23.02.02 in the Hudson was great. Not cheap but great. First time I was here around 2022 September in the Hotsytotsy was good. I definitely remembered to this place. Last time today I drank 3 cocktails and I wasn’t tipsy at all what I except after two drinks since I’m a petite woman. The cards arent’ a bad idea but I preferred the drink menu with cocktail names such as ‘Okinawan pornstar’. Definitely there was some great cocktail. I’d say If something is basically a smoothie with a hint of alcohol is not a cocktail in my eyes but rather breakfast for an alcoholic. For five cocktails he paid 25k

An amazing find! Some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had and decent quirky atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy cocktail or somewhere to start a night out.

My favourite cocktailbar in Budapest! Very friendly staff and delicious cocktails. They prices are fare. You can ask them to make any cocktail you like or just name an ingredient or taste and they mix up a delicious surprise cocktail! Definitely recommend this place. Don't go in wearing a sweater as it could be very warm inside 😉

Unorganized, made a reservation and than just an excuse as overbooked, lol. And than team tries to excuse with an lie, 😂. As we made reservation on Friday evening because there where no open space, what is totally ok, but made a reservation for Saturday 🤷. Making mistakes is ok, but trying to lie afterwards it's ..... But you'll harvest what you seed 😉

Quite OK unique cocktails made of high quailty ingredients. The service and the atmosphere however does not meet my standards - this is highly subjective anyway. Give the place a try, and you'll see.

Best cocktail experience of my life. The place is small and low-key but in great taste that makes you feel comfortable. The bartender was such a nice guy and took the time to know our preferences. The cocktail was excellent. Awesome place with fair prices, you should definitely check it out :)

Hotsy Totsy is a magnificent place. We sat at the bar and watched such an impressive demonstration of skills by the bartenders. The place have great atmosphere and cool vibes, and the cocktails we had were amazing

Extreme attention to quality -> extreme results ... This time I played it safe in order to get the same drink as my friend whose likes I didn't know at all. Hence I chose for us the last drink on the posted list. The last time (and first) I had an incredible drink (as was this) which I wouldn't know, since time has passed, how to describe if not "amazing and wierd". I can still close my eyes and remember that nice taste though. I reckon this bar is a must in Budapest.

Awesome little small bar. All staff was friendly. We did have to wait a little bit to sit down but the host worked hard to get us seated as quickly as possible. My only complaint was the bartender although not terribly busy was extremely slow to take our order and then get drinks out. However, the drinks were made perfection and very crafty.

Instantly fell in love with the place. Excellent menu, especially the recognition of some of our favourite classics ! Service was perfect from start to finish, thank you to the host for shifty seating us and taking our order and a massive thanks to the young lady taking care of us all night - you can tell she really knows her stuff and she made us feel comfortable from the beginning. Will definitely be back on our next trip, and we will highly recommend to our friends. Thanks guys ! 🍸
