What an amazing goldmine of a restaurant. Found in an ally where folks visiting Budapest would normally wonder to, from outside the restaurant is very incognito. Once you enter you will be greeted by friendly staff, whom will accommodate you to the fullest. Beware, sitting in the restaurant is limited to 5 tables. Food is authentic as it comes, with fresh ingredients and prices are reasonable for being in the city center. Overall I would like to say thank you to the restaurant staff for doing such a wonderful job at hosting and cooking!

Koey toew soup: EXCELLENT Pad Thai: EXCELLENT Papaya Salad: EXCELLENT This restaurant is by far the most authentic and delicious Thai restaurant I have ever been in Europe. The kitchen smell is so nostalgic here. The whole restaurant is quite small with a couple of tables and there is a small upstairs area, regardless you come here for the authenticity and not ambience. Great service!

This restaurant is so amazing! It's got that cozy and family like vibe! We took the take out and it was prepared so quickly- we didn't even blink, but for some reason they apologized for making us wait long. The food itself was really delicious, flavorful and fresh! The portions were huge! The value for the price ratio is outstanding!

It's a compact place, so may have to wait a bit. Being a Thai food lover, I found their dishes decently priced. The pork larb was my personal highlight. The Pad Thai was slightly on the sweeter side, though the shrimp was notably fresh. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

After having spent 3 months in Thailand and having tried dozens of Thai restaurants in Budapest in the past, I have to say this is the most authentic one, the food is amazingly delicious and tastes exactly like it would taste in Thailand! We ordered green curry, larb, and som tum (green papaya salad), all were delicious. 100% recommended👌

Reminds me of the little restaurants in Bangkok! Authentic Thai food full of flavor and nice people. If you want the real taste of Thai food in Budapest, this is it! Highly recommend the Pad Krapow and Pad Thai!

I’m obsessed with this Thai place! Was recommended by my Thai masseuse. I was pleasantly surprised once I got to the restaurant. The owner is super friendly and the food is incredibly authentic! I took my friends there the next day and they all loved it here. The best part is, everything is extremely affordable! Approximately 3000ft per dish. Can’t wait to go back and try moreeeee!

Very delicious! you can request the spicy level. Not enough spicy? You can always add the chilli oil served on every table as you wish 😋 The staffs are so attentive and very kind!!! 🥺 Love this place a lot! 🥰❤️

This is the most authentic Thai restaurant in all of Budapest. Wonderful and lovely Thai people cook here, and the taste is exactly like in Thailand. Get a nice Pad KraPao with an egg, or a Rice noodle soup with meatballs!

Tucked between a Thai massage joint and a sex shop in a building currently undergoing renovation, you can easily walk right past Rim Thanonh without even knowing it, as there's only a small paper menu and a "Nyitva" sign in the door, but no sign. Wires are dangling menacingly above the threshold, and you could easily have some doubts about this place. That would be a mistake. This tiny cafe is the epitome of unpretentious dining, but the food being served is out of this world. The fresh, tasty dishes, loaded with crisp vegetables and aromatic seasonings prepared to order by three friendly Thai women who make you feel like you are visiting your aunt's house. I have just started exploring the menu, and will be making many more visits here soon.

Amazing Thai dishes! There are more options for local authentic food than most other Thai places. They remind me of what I had when I was living in Thailand. I've been here twice and I will keep coming!

The food as this tiny restaurant was beyond delicious and a true Thai experience! I absolutely loved my pork panang curry, which was just the perfect balance between sweet and spicy. Smiling ladies were a plus! I’ll definitely come back asap 😋

Local spot run by a Swedish guy & his Thai wife. The cook is also Thai. Had the pad mee luang. Absolutely delicious with tons of flavor and spice and texture, as it should be. Washed down with a Singha. Had a great hour talking about our Thailand memories I'll be back here next time I'm in the city for business If you can't find it, it's next door to the craft beer bar

If you're in Budapest you must try this place! The most authentic tiny restaurant/take-away place with some amazing Thai food. We came for take-away and were greeted by the nicest staff. The young boy spoke excellent English and helped us select some amazing dishes from the menu. The food was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The spring rolls and Pad Thai are the best we've ever had. Amazing value for money - If this place was located in our neighborhood we'd come here every week!

Excellent food in a family setting. Very few tables, as it is a small shop. The food was both cheap and very tasty, both kids and adults loved it, and the staff was very friendly. We loved it!

After having visited Thailand recently, this took me straight back. Very authentic, tasty food. Been here twice already in the space of a few days. Might even go back again, it was so good. It is quite a small restaurant with only 4 tables so you may need to wait if it is busy. Not suitable for large parties.

Absolutely delicious authentic Thai food. Highly recommend the flavourful Pad Thai and Pad see ew. This place also has pickled green chillis which also tasted very authentic. Prices were quite reasonable, 6800 HUF for 2 dishes with good portions. Feeling very full and satisfied!

Perfect authentic Thai place, with very kind service and affordable prices. Everything is cooked and tastes the way it should be in Thailand. The place is small, so maybe takeaway is the best option.

Though the place may be small, the dishes are absolutely amazing. I had a pad see ew with shrimp, and the noodles were nice and chewy, and the shrimp was also nicely cooked. My partner had a beef noodle soup (kuay tiao) that was really tasty as well. There are some condiments on the table that you can add to your dish, my only wish is they played some music at the restaurant, as it was a little bit too quiet. Would definitely recommend 👍

Finom! Worth every penny ! Visiting from Asia and USA and this was closest to authentic food we had for about 3300-4000 a meal . Thank you so much to the staff ! Visited twice after having a bad experience at another Thai restaurant ! köszönöm! Just FYI, I will be honest one of my friends did not like the mango sticky rice because of course mangoes are not fresh in this area and the coconut milk is not super thick so you have to be aware for that

Good foods and nice service. The stick rice and mango tastes very good. Fried rice with beef is not enough for a adult ( a Asian body 173cm). Tom yong soup tastes not like what I had in Thailand. It should contains coconut milk at least(perhaps because I had worked in a place near to Thailand for 3 years, I am too picky). 1800ft for a bowl of soup with 3 shrimps and 4 tomato cubes is a bit pricey for local people I believe.

Highly recommend! The ingredients are fresh… seasoning are on point Recommended menu: 1. Any fried rice ( taste similar, looks similar and smell similar to what i had back in Thailand ) 2. Sukee soup 3. All the stirred fried noodles! Love them all ++ the ladies ( owner/chefs) are friendly

Spicy pork pad kapaw with bamboo shoots & fired egg, chicken suki are a life saver for me when away from home. Love love it. The restaurant is tiny but staffs are friendly. The food and drink price are reasonable.

Tiny hole in the wall restaurant. Only 4 tables, thankfully there was an empty table and we were able to grub down on some amazing food. We got the green curry and pad Thai. Both had a perfect spice, it made our noses run a little bit, but not too spicy to make it difficult to eat. The flavor is fresh (you can hear and see them chopping the vegetables after you order). If we lived in Budapest, this would be a regular spot for us.

  • 5/5 CL 3 months ago on Google New
Our best meal in Budapest, from the taste of the food itself to the service and overall dining experience! The Som Tum (Thai Papaya Salad) was nicely done and really close to what we used to have in our home country. Beef slices in the soup noodle was soft and juicy. The lady was so sweet and friendly as well, we truly enjoy our meal.

Incredible Thai food with friendly waitress who spoke English. Although the place is quite small with two tables downstairs and a few upstairs, it has a great authentic feel and decor. Food was well priced and you received a very filling and tasty portion. 10/10

We were craving for pad Thai after our trip to Thailand a few months ago. We could say this is one of the most authentic Thai food we've had since. Delicious and I'm happy that they added lime for that extra kick. Spicy chilli was provided too. Yummy !!!

  • 5/5 Ferdiansyah Iqbal R. 8 months ago on Google
The lady was very friendly and very helpful, even though the place was a bit unspacious but they were willing to go up and down to take our order. The food was amazing and we ordered Pad Thai chicken and Pad See Ew chicken and they were amazing. The service was quite fast and the portions were quite enormous. Be prepared to empty your stomach if you want to eat here 😄. Highly recommended place 👍🏻

local authentic Thai restaurant— get the noodle dishes. ordered pad thai and pad see ew: flavors were plentiful. also got the papaya salad (spicy but delicious) and mango sticky rice. the mango on the sticky rice looked dull and lacked flavor.. but the rice itself was amazing. otherwise, service was excellent and the place was small but we didn’t have any trouble finding seating.

Very authentic Thai street food that I had today, the Kuy tiew noodles in soup with chicken and the Tom Ka were so tasty. Sticky rice with mango is always the best dessert in Thai food so Nostalgia x 1000!!!

Went there 4 months ago when travelling with friends and I still can't find anything close to it! Simply amazing, if I visit Budapest again I'll be eating there every day. Recommend red curry soup and especially kah muu yang (that thai chili sauce is ambrosia)

  • 5/5 Luqman H. 11 months ago on Google
A small authentic Thai restaurant. The food is really tasty and delicious. It has that original Thai food flavours and doesn’t change to fit with local taste buds just like a few other Thai restaurants here in Budapest. I didn’t try all but shrimp pad thai that I tried was really good, you could never go wrong with that one! The price is okay, location wise is strategic and easy to find. Recommended!

  • 5/5 István K. 2 years ago on Google
Super! The furniture is a bit oldschool but you can tell that they care about hygiene because their restroom is super clean. The food is great, flavorful and authentic. We found the spicy food to be a bit too spicy for us - but we don’t really eat spicy otherwise so this might be just our problem. Tom Yum soup is awesome but it’s a small portion so recommended as an appetizer to share. Plus point that the waitress/cashier girl was super friendly and polite. Highly recommended place to visit, they speak English and accept credit cards.

Small restaurant serving authentic Thai food in the heart of Budapest. The papaya salad was on fire 🔥🔥. Spicy ground pork with basil was delicious. BBQ pork neck and fried meatballs were good as well. If you like authentic Thai food come here and you won't be disappointed. They also sell Thai variety of Thai desserts.

Those who go out for dinner on Thursday-Friday nights should be prepared, as the place has about four small tables in total, so wait a while! Great food for a nice price! The crowd was mainly Asian which is a good sign. My boyfriend (who has been to Thailand a few times) said that it tasted very authentic. The best Thai food I have had outside of Thailand. The owners are extremely kind. Prices are reasonable for the quality but you gotta try some of their authentic Thai menu items, they are the best items on the menu and packed with flavor. It is common to hear Thai karaoke if you go in on a weekend evening and lots of Thai customers. Absolutely love this place! Update: Brought my Thai fiancee there when she was feeling homesick. She approved and said it was just like home. The cooks are from Issan so the food is more Issan style which is a win for me! Make sure you try the Laab Moo and the Som Tum. If you want something that is not on the menu, it is very likely they can make it for you!
