Gringos Amigos restaurant exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The lively atmosphere, complete with vibrant Mexican music, added an authentic touch to the dining experience. However, the real star of the show was the food. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. From the savory tacos to the mouthwatering enchiladas, each bite was a delight. What made it even better was the reasonable prices, offering fantastic value for the quality of food and service. Gringos Amigos is a true gem for Mexican cuisine enthusiasts.

Nice Italian restaurant, we went here for the evening. The chef allowed us to make our own version of a pasta dish ( creamy pasta with mushrooms) which was not on the menu And the bill ended up costing only £20 for 2 people. Great pricing. Vegetarian friendly plenty of options available

Gringos Amigos is a great place for a quick bite. Great staff and great quality food, the ingredients are fresh and we haven't been disappointed yet. Try their meal deals or individual offerings. Their burritos are excellent and it is located on a quiet pedestrian street We highly recommend Gringos Amigos.

Great place for some nice selection of Mexican dishes, it's a fast food place and it has a good variety of items for both vegetarians and meat lovers. The staff are very friendly and we're happy to explain their menu in more detail as it was difficult to understand a little. It's like a subway but replace the bread with tortillas, you choose what you want and it's filled. Nice selection of burritos, nachos and quesadillas. Their in-house unlimited fruit based drinks are lovely too, definitely try those. Great little spot in the heart of Budapest inner city and if you fancy something to fill you up without spending a huge amount of money then definitely visit here. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, it's beautiful in the summer weather to seat outside.

Not bad, but if I would be a bit more cold hearted, I would have only given three stars. Again, it is okay if you want to grab a bite, and than be on your way, but if you are looking for something more, than look elswhere. The burrito was okay, the soup was good, missed some more salsa for the nachos...

This is always a good choice for eating if you are in the city center. The food is really good, you get what you expect: tasty Mexican food. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is nice. And price is also okay. You can eat outside too, which is nice in good weather.

A Mexican fast food restaurant in the city center. If you want to eat something fast, it can be an ideal choice. The food is okay, but not particularly special, so if you want a lasting experience, this is not your place. The offer is a bit difficult to interpret and is not well explained, but the staff helped us understand it. The chicken was dry, so you might want to ask for more sauce for that. However, the portions are plentiful, so the value for money is favorable. It is possible for both outdoor and indoor consumption, and the space is relatively spacious, so you can take a seat even during busy periods.

We visit this place regularly and it's super delicious each time! Various meat options and sauce options, salad or nacho, refill lemonade option etc. Even the nacho chicken soup is delicious, if you want Mexican food this is a great place to visit

Very tasty food. Employees are not that well informed, but they are kind. Unfortunately the food is extremely overpriced. Food with a drink starts at 3500 HUF. Pro tip: For drink ask for a refillable glass instead of a bottle of soda. Cheaper and you drink as much from 4-5 differently flavoured lemonades as you want.

We are returning customers for a reason. These guys really do this best :) Food is great, service is friendly and quick and prices are not too high. I can only recommend it to the people who like Mexican food. Uodate******* We have returned to our favorite restaurant to find out that it has changed in a negative aspect. The portion of the food is still the same, more than enough for an adult. The quality has dropped dramatically. It just doesn’t taste the same. Very disappointing as we were used to the great quality. The main problem however, is the customer service. All I can say is wow…. Rude, arrogant and disrespectful. Not a single smile, literally ordering you to order and hurry with your decisions. I could go on about how much this affects your mood in this establishment. We are very disappointed. Won’t be returning for a long time, if ever after this encounter.

All good basically, the staff was friendly, the food looks good, and it was pretty fast in the afternoon. Of course it’s not a Michelin star restaurant, but that’s not really what you expect from a tacos and tortilla place in Budapest (I guess). So all in all, this is a good place to go for either a quick bite, or to take a dish to go, in case you’re feeling like having a western type Mexican dish!

Nicely decorated place, it's not cozy or fancy but it has it's own unique style. We asked for gluten free and were helped very well, the guy who prepared our food knew exactly what he could and couldn't serve us. He asked us if he should change his gloves, but in a polite way and clearly to check whether we just wanted gluten-free or really needed it. Food was delicious, i had the enchiladas with loads of cheese.

It was a very bad experience. The staff couldn’t let me choice my sauce for the food, they only asked spicy or not (they had at least 6 different sauces but you can’t decide which do you want and this was a joke they decided it, NOT YOU who paid the food 😂 ) After this the food was cold, even after they put it in the heater. The portion was small not what you expect from a Mexican restaurant. The flavors was so average not what you expect again. Not recommended.

We tried Tacos, Enchiladas, and Quesadilla.🤕 The food is very pathetic. I would never recommend anyone to try any food in this pathetic restaurant.😟😖🤮🤮 I would say if you eat once you will never eat the Mexican food in the life again.😒 They boiled the Chicken and put this all the three dishes same.👹 The Mexican food experience was disappointing—the dishes tasted stale, as if prepared in the morning and served cold in the evening. The quantity is very less but the Taste of the food is like 🤮 The 4.5-star reviews seem dubious, possibly purchased or fake.

Got tacos and guacamole nd chips. Felt very stupid for not knowing the things like type of rice etc. bcs was my first time eating mexican food. Asked for tacos to be very spicy and THEY WERE ACTUALLY SPICY. In Italy whenever u ask spicy u get mild spice hahaha but i liked them. Very nice atmosphere. But felt stupid that i was made fun of since i didn’t know rice types, beans etc or whatever he was saying or maybe it was me. Especially that one young guy. Felt he passed remarks and laughed abt it to other male friend and i felt very uncomfortable. Girls were very nice.

Home away from home! We’ve been away from the States for a few years and miss spicy Mexican comfort food. This hits the spot! Get the spicy salsa and pay a little extra for the fresh cilantro - it’s worth it! Enjoy with an icy Corona!

Niiice!!! Very spontaneously popped in and was so surprised! There's a lot of choice, when you get a dish with rice you can decide which flavour your rice should have e.g. Or if you prefer tortilla chips or salad as a side dish. And the staff was kindly answering all my questions. So great. The whole meal was so delicious and the price totally reasonable. I loved the black beans as side dish!!!

Visited the płace twice during the trip to Budapest. It was quite nice and fair portion. Overall good value for money. Would eat there again

Nice place to go to eat fast mexican food , overall positive review but the staff is incredibly rude , the waiters are young and impolite , they didnt care at all about the customers, they act and talk to us very rudely… (if we could we would give zero stars to the service) onestly they ruined the restorant and the meal…

If you are looking for Mexican cuisine to try in Budapest, this place it is. You can customize your menu. No table service available. Prices are not too high. We ordered the Enchiladas menu and burritos, for the menu you can refill your drinks unlimitedly but the drinks were not good. Enchiladas and burritos were good, delicious and tasty. I would recommend reserving the table as it was a bit crowded and had no place to sit and we shifted two tables while the first table we occupied was reserved. The place has nice cozy vibes and compliments are hung all around the walls.

Easily noticeable while walking down the streets of Budapest. We were looking out for some good Mexican food and landed up here. It says they have the best Street food. We ordered for tacos. They were not that great. Chicken was stale. It was extraordinarily spicy and tacos were soggy. Restaurant vibe is good and staff is friendly and good.

Good food and nice atmosphere. Fair prices and quite big portions of food. I did not eat Mexican food before, so I can’t compare it, but it tasted good: especially the tacos (picture 1) as it had some fresh salad The sauces are quite spicy if you want to choose those for a full Mexican experience.

My daughter & husband loved it. Very limited options for allergies. There was an allergy ingredient list printed and posted. You go through the line and pick your items, then find a place to sit after paying.

It is rather a fast food restaurant, no table service. It is difficult to communicate with the staff at the counter, there is too much noise, and they are not always patient when you are not fast enough deciding what to choose. Even more informative guide/manual for order could help. Food is okay, but you need to keep in mind that they have a fast food kitchen only.

Really tasty vegan tacos. Filling portions. The rice was a bit dry and black beans oversalted. 5 stars go for the caring prep of vegan food (new gloves, separate cutlery to make the portions). They charge extra for guacamole!

Amazing, delicious and affordable

Easy-busy place were you can get good food for a reasonable price. Can't compare much of the quesadilla price around the city, yet it was very tasty big portition. Nicely served with Estrella, refill lemonades or bottled soda. For one person, quesadilla with salad + soda (not salad bowl) price was 7.00~9.00 euro. Generally recommend for singles, couples and group visits (including families). As well you have option to make order with all possible food deliveries like wolt, netpincer...etc.

I've tried some other places, but found out, that I cannot really replace Gringos, they are making a really good job there. I hope this will be true even when they will have much more orders. So keep up the good quality, because that's why I still here. I would wait a bit more (or order in advance) just to eat at you. One hint would be to make avail to be able to pay on-line, but to take the food in-place by person and only by delivery option (trough Netpincér, etc).
