Waited over an hour for a simple pasta and it wasn’t very crowded at the time. Very dirty. Food trays left on a lot of the tables. Flies in the whole restaurant. I’ve been to Vapiano many times in different countries, almost always same good quality and standard, but this one in Budapest was something completely different. I guess this is what I get for eating at a franchise instead of some traditional food in Budapest.. Will not recommend to anyone.

Out of all the branches I went to VAPIANO this is below rated to be honest. The only thing i liked was the garlic pizza and ginger drink. There ordering procedures is not like the other branches. The chicken in the pasta was not that cooked. The rice in the risotto was huge. I wouldn’t go again there.

Food was too salty, my risotto taste like salt and nothing else, no chicken, no cream, no rice sadly. The ambience of the place is very simple but comfortable, nice view to the fashion street! The tables need to be checked because most of them were dirty (coffee spots on it mostly).

Visited Vapiano in budapest and it was not a good experience for me. I ordered pizza quarto formaggio and pasta aglio e oilo. First of all there is no handy english menus available in restaurant so cash desk told me to use one which is stick on the wall. After that i informed that i can go to pickup place to get my food. I was setting in front of pickup point and what i found is. "Washing guy was cooking pasta without covering head" the chef who whare black chef coat was eating and drinking in kitchen area. My pasta was done in 2 minutes and pizza took 7 minutes but the guy who is availabe at pickup point is busy to talk with colleagues and he ringed my pager in 15 minutes so once i got my food everything was cold alredy. Pizza is semi cooked. I can write this because i am closely aware about vapiano standards. But my experience was not as per standards. I will not visit this place again its so unhygienic and food is west of money. Vapiano standards are much better then what you are following.

I ordered at 13:56 as you can see from the receipt and I received my plate at 15:37 (1.5hrs later). I went up to ask 3 times if my order was ready; the first time they said 5min; the 2nd time they said 20-30min; when i went the 3rd time and they didn't have it ready I tried to ask for a refund but was not allowed, and they still said 30min left. What I don't understand is that at the time of ordering, there weren't a lot of people inside with a lot of chefs cooking at the same time. Conclusion is that this was a very bad experience at Vapiano and the wait time was not worth it for the quality of the food.

Very easy to order food on the touch screen but it was card only. We wanted to have pasta each, you can edit it slightly by saying no cheese, however it doesn't give you the option of which cheese to remove. I ordered mine which was a mozzerella dish without cheese as Grana Padano cheese was in the description, when it was done there was no cheese at all, so think they do need an option to state which cheese. The tables were dirty and has used bottles etc on.

Vapiano used to be a place where you could eat really good pasta but unfortunately not anymore. My pasta was overcooked, my friend's pasta was undercooked. At least April Spritz was really good.Very big disappointment

I'm almost 40 years old, I've worked in restaurants that deliver, I've definitely had my share of deliveries to me (past few years, daily), never sent a review for food delivery, but this is, by far, the worst delivery I've ever had to accept (consequences - kids have to eat, it's getting late and I fly tomorrow). Ordered through Wolt. The place is less than 500 meters from my hotel, two 30cm pizzas and a kids pasta, took these guys 1 hour, then 20 more minutes after getting the "ready and on its way" notification. Don't even remember what the estimate on that was (35, 45, 60 or 60-80 minutes), but let's assume it wasn't late (took 80), because that wasn't the main problem. Pizzas were barely warm if at all, definitely smaller than 30cm diameter, one of the pizzas got cold and inseperable from the box, I couldn't even pick up a normal slice out of that thing. Second pizza was... Eatable, almost ok, but again - barely warm. The pasta was completely cold (hot day, 37 degrees, so around 10pm, 30 degrees out, I don't even know how it's possible for it to get this cold), sauce was also cold and sticky as hell and inseperable from the box, which was, btw, about 75% empty. It arrived like that, 10 minutes before closing, so who was I going to complain to exactly, ro get my proper meal (10900 HUF, not cheap)? I was in Budapest for a week, had a great time, last night, thought we'd order in and have a chill night. Ended up hungry and angry, ruined our last night here, food-wise. From the address, it's obvious we're tourists. It's also obvious they just forgot to make the delivery (again, less than 500 meters from the hotel) and it just sat there, getting cold, for a long time. Happens, right? In such a case, a normal place would just make it again, instead of sending a meal that looks like it's been sitting in the fridge for an hour after not eating it. Not this place - nah, it's just tourists, screw that, give them that and let's close up even though we messed up. Tourists, who cares? No message, not a word, nothing. We got the notification it's ready and on its way when the first hour passed, and then it took 20 more minutes, again, less than 500 meters from me. Obviously it wasn't on its way after an hour, because I can CRAWL BACKWARDS those 500 meters in less than 20 minutes. Must have thought we're morons. Didn't understand what was going on, but once I opened that mess up, it all made sense. The delivery guy - not his fault, he got his tip. But the guys who sent this thing to me messed up bigtime and couldn't care less to even pretend to try to fix it. As long as they got to finish their shift on time and not a minute later. Disgusting (yeah, also the food).

This is a famous name in Europe. But this branch quite disappointed. You have to go in, look for the menu and go to a very confusing line. Or choose a touchscreen. After waiting a long time, I received my spaghetti bolognese. When I got my pasta, my Coke was hot. My pasta came dry, semi-cold, without meat and with too much tomato sauce. Waiters are only there to collect empty plates. Be careful with pigeon and bees. I don’t recommend this branch at Vörösmarty Tér.

Arrabiata! One bite was enough. Left the rest on the table. My own experience and answer to your question; Taste was unpleasant, I think it was removed from the boiling water not at the right time. Spaghetti was hard so it got stuck to my teeth. Secondly, too much onion, so I was feeling all onion taste, not the sauce. I prefer to see more cherry tomatoes and sauce over.

I love Vapiano, I have visited it in more countries and every time without any problem but this one in Budapest has been the worst… we were sitting inside and the tables were dirty, when our pasta was fresh they run out of forks (the restaurant was not full at all) so our pasta got cold until they refilled it… what comes to pasta, it was not cooked well and it seemed they just made it as quickly as possible just to get it of their shoulders…

Really liked this place for a casual lunch. Kids got pizza, it was nothing fancy but solid. I had gnocchi in cream sauce with bacon and onion that was quite good. Atmosphere is comfortable and clean.

I visited the Vapiano restaurant on Monday evening. The cashier was very friendly and the space was clean. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the high standards of the Vapiano in London. Be mindful of the consistency of the quality. Prices were reasonable as with all chain restaurants.

Food is as good as in any Vapiano. They were not too generous with some ingredients but that tends to happen, I am ok with that, they might have decreased portion sizes since I’ve last been or in comparison to Vapiano’s in other countries. But the fact that there was dust everywhere and it took them forever to clean the tables is quite disappointing.

Very good place for a quick bite. Enjoyed Vapiano in Prague and it's perfect in Budapest. Try Fungi, you will not regret.

We ordered our pasta by scanning the QR code at our table. It sent me though to the website where I ordered our food with no problems. The web page instructed I pick up a pager to know when my food would be ready but when I went to the desk I was told my food would come to the table. After an hour, it still hadn't arrived so, I enquired again. I did need a pager after all. I had the pesto and basil pasta with chicken. I couldn't find a great deal of chicken if I'm honest and my pasta was cold. My daughter's pasta was nice and hot. I also had Bruschetta but it seemed the kitchen staff didn't know hot to assemble it so the prawns were on the side, the tomato was in the bread and everything was hidden under rocket leaf. I was a bit disappointed with the experience. I've been to the one in Prague and Manchester and had a much better experience.

Pasta is really good and you can tell it's fresh. Beware if you get the extra fried garlic, it's a bit too salty. The spinach gnocchi is not too be missed. I love the idea of having basil and rosemary plants on the table. It's a self service concept.

Nothing like any VAPIANO I tried in other locations on the planet, more like a fast food chain with a premium pricing, I ordered from the screen and after 30 min of waiting I was told I have to wait another 30 min claiming that the cashier mentioned wait time of 1 hour, the restaurant is not that crowded or anything. After complaining the cashier thankfully helped me, now let’s rate the food which is why some of you are still reading. Chicken Alfredo 3/10, tasteless sauce, very little ingredients Seafood tagliatelle - same Caprese - same Soup - same Don’t recommend at all

This place has dropped in quality. Dishes waiting at la pass. Pasta was clumping together. Asked for spicy but barely an extra chilli involved in the cooking process. Will not be attending again anytime soon. If you can visit Comme Chez Soi only a few minutes away.

We went there on 24th December, it was quite crowded. We waited longer to get our food. It was self service like most of the Vapiano. We ordered creamy pasta but they prepared different pasta, though it was good in taste.

Ok how do i gently put this. I am Mediterranean and we don't have Vapiano in my country. So this was my first time trying it. It felt like i was in a self service fast food store. Yes i know how it sounds. No one to take your order heck no one to give you a menu (if you dont scan the qr code that is) Now you are wondering why 4 stars ✨. Well the food was magnificent.!! I can't stress this enough. We had risotto and pizza 🍕 and remember when i said i am Mediterranean? This place tops some of my country's top restaurants. Yes it is that good.! And of course it is cheaper 😉

The food is brilliant, but they should take a lot more care on hygiene. The tables on the terrace were attacked by pigeons, picking up the leftovers, and leaving a mess.

Everyone clearly know about them, their foods are great specifically, Pastas. The problem is you cannot buy coca-cola if you would like to take your food to go. They have to take it into the consideration. But totally, they're awesome.

Vapiano is our first choice in new cities, since we know what to expect, and the one in Budapest was all we wanted. Love the simplicity of ordering on the screen (you can also order at the bar), the selection of food and beverages and especially the taste of food. I had spaghetti with spinach and prawns, for lunch and again for dinner, it was so delicious! For lunch I asked for some extra arugula. My family had other meals and we were all happy with our choice!

I ordered the fungi risotto. It was soooo goood! Probably the best risotto I ever had. As muslim, we are grateful they have a lot of vegetarian options. Almost half the menu are suitable for vegetarian. The tiramisu I had was also veeryyy good! Its a self service restaurant, you order at counter and pick fhe food once they are ready. The location is very good, at the very center of famous shopping street Vaci Utca. Despite the location, the price is very reasonable. They provide chargable take away tupperware-like for unfinished food.

I was amazed by the prices. This is like Panera bread with $5 full-sized pizzas. You can sit indoors or outdoors, and one side of the restaurant has a wine bar. The view outside is tremendously scenic. Digital kiosk ordering, drinks at counter. Favorite meal of my 10 day vacation was at this very unsuspecting place.

It is cheap, and you get a lot food for a moderate price. Therefore, I give 4 stars. But be aware, the atmosphere is noisy-busy, giving you the fast food Mac Donald’s vibe.

I usually love Vapiano. Quite disappointed from this specific branch. Long waiting times, not enough attention to the dishes, and not convenient to order (auto machine for ordering, but separate line for beverages)

Delicious what they made! ✨✨✨✨✨ Carbonara here is amazingly good. Is creamy but not to creamy if you don’t like pasta dumped on sauce. And spicy! Pizza i had once, was good but nothing wow. The guys at the cashier are a little bit lost and apathetic but you can also use self service so you skip that part😅 The bartender is very nice tho! I eat here often while in Budapest! Hope this was helpful :)

Great food for a good price. The option to order online is helpful, you don't have to queue very long or wait for a waitress or something. Also they have a lot of seats and a nice terrace.

I can’t speak out for the food as we only had a drink in here. However, the young smart dressed bar tender who spoke in a low tone of voice - great customer service and interpersonal skills. Thanks for making us feel welcome 👍
