I went there with no expectations as I did impulsively. I was seated right away with no reservation. Honestly I think the best part was the soup. I was surprised at how good the tomato soup was. Paired with a nice rosé made it more delicious. The pizza was a little on the haphazard side as far as the prosciutto is concerned but the crust was very nice. Of the dessert tastings that I had, the blueberry tart was probably the best. I wish they would have explained the desert tasting as, it's just listed on the menu as desert of the day I think. Overall it is a restaurant to treat yourself or others with. The prices are on the high end but, the quality of the food, service, and environment are on par with the price.

Dear Restaurant and opinion Readers, First of all, I would like to point out that we have celebrated every event here with family and friends, and it is no coincidence that it has been more than 5 years. Most of the dishes are sensational, just like the service. However, I think the most recent service and reception cannot be left without a word in a restaurant of this level. We reserved the table for 4 people 3 months before. When we arrived, they searched for our name for 15 minutes and said that they could provide us with a maximum of one and a half hours. We said it was fine. (what other choice would we have?!) Although it is interesting, if we booked our table so long in advance, why can't we stay for 2 hours. It doesn't matter. The lady at the door welcomed us in a jogger, which we have not experienced before. Let's put it aside, maybe the dress code has changed. We ordered a bottle of wine and water and then the main dishes. The waiter didn't even ask if we wanted this side dish for the main course, we also didn't get a steak knife, we had to refill the wine ourselves, so the bottle was placed on another table, we didn't get a spoon/fork for the dessert, so it was from another waiter you had to ask whoever was there, because our waiter had no idea where he was. (Once he didn't ask if we were satisfied with the food.) At the end, he came over to fill the wine and jokingly commented that he could fill that little, we said yes, we had already filled the rest... Another waiter came over and we told him that this service was a disappointment for us and obviously we are not leaving with a good experience after this. The waiter couldn't help apologizing and gave us a 10% discount, hoping to compensate for our disappointment. When we left, all you could hear was one of the doormen saying "calm, calm" to the lady who welcomed us. I ask: is this normal behavior in such a place?! If I tell you that the service is bad, do I have to appease the person who couldn't even take our reservation normally?! It's sad that the staff has changed so much in the wrong direction! We will not be celebrating our next event here.The food is still 10/10 and the service depends on what kind of waiter and doorman you get. It was now 10/1.

The best experience in Budapest, their menu has great offers and the wine menu is exquisite as well. I will definitely go again!

Everything was perfect and very Nice. Nice ambient, we didn’t have a reservation but after 5 minutes they gave us a table without a problem. The local was full, the waiters are Nice, helpful and quick. Food was delicious, dessert aswell. Hope we can come back someday! Good job 👍🏽

The food is very good here! The menu offers so many choices and everything was delicious and nice quality. The wine list is extensive too. My problem is the service. I came here twice and both times the service felt attentive, but very snobby. The waiters don’t seem to act like they like people or care if customers are enjoying themselves. No one smiles. When I asked for suggestions I was offered the most expensive thing on the menu. So, just be aware of that- and they’ll still add 15% service charge whether they’re good or not. For the prices they can do better than this. For this I won’t come back anymore, because as a local in Budapest I’m treated as a temporary tourist, and they don’t care if I come back or not.

Authentic high quality food for an excellent price. The location was very convenient as we stayed in an Airbnb right upstairs. Over our four night stay we went to the restaurant twice. The service was outstanding. Wait staff was polite and accommodating to food restrictions. Some of the best Italian food I've ever had. Would recommend as a must go to anyone in Budapest.

While the food is very nice, and so is the service, the temperature maintained in the restaurant is a big problem. Lets just say - you dont have to worry about your food getting cold, as the room temperature is maintained at 27°C (81°F), which is warm enough to make you sweat and keep the food warm! And the best thing is tou can go alone.. the mosquitoes and flies will keep you company!

We had a huge expectations regarding the reviews but unfortunately, even tough the venue has Italian vibes and it’s nice and warm, food was tasteless. Meat in canelloni was without sauce and it’s not a tipical Italian ragu. The other meal was fine but nothing to remember.

The pizza is real napolitalian, the tomato soup is fantastic, and if I may suggest: the Lasagne al forno with the homemade green pasta is simply delicious. Great Italian vibe in the restaurant. With a southern Italian decoration and an open kitchen, you can see the handsome chefs happily cooking food. The food is exquisite and delicious, and the waiters are considerate and diligent. We had a pleasant dinner and will go there again with my family.

I had the goulash soup for lunch and it was amazing. The spices and flavours are difficult for me to describe because they were new to me, but the texture and taste were all I needed. The price was fine and the young lady server was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this little restaurant.

i can't describe this place in words, you have to experience it to understand and feel that real italien feeling. this place gives you luxury vibe, it's so beautiful inside, servers are incredibly nice and accurate, even if the restaurant is full of people. the menu can be read in several languages for foreign people. the food, the service, everything is perfect. everything is a bit pricey but every bite worth your money!!! this place is a must-try!!!

Very authentic delicious Italian cuisine - best one in Hungary so far and we do eat a lot of Italian cuisine. Lasagne was creamy soft with home made pasta sheets. The béchamel was very creamy and whole dish was fluffy. Home made seafood pasta was tasty and cooked well. Dessert was very good. Pork medallions were soft and tasty, well cooked. The pizza was authentic.

I really can't say enough good things about the food, service, and ambiance at this wonderful Italian restaurant! The sommelier was so patient and helpful! I LOVED the chardonnay he recommended. Every meal for our party of 10 was exceptional.

The food was tasty, but a bit salty. On the other hand, the plating was really nice. The atmosphere was pleasant even outside on the terrace, where we got our table. The stuff are nice and professional.

Certainly one of the best restaurants in town. We went there on Thursday night for a team dinner. The restaurant was quite crowded, but the service was still very fast. The food was excellent! I had an ossobuco, which I highly recommend! Not only was the main course good, but the desserts were good too! Overall a place with friendly staff, good food and obviously quite high prices.

Absolutely amazing! The service was great, the food is delicious! We booked in advance as a party of 6 for my father’s birthday. They seated us at a very nice table where we fit comfortably (quite unusual that it happens so kudos for the staff again). We shared starters that they brought on separate plates for us which is very nice as we didn’t have to find diy solutions to share. All food we ordered was more than amazing and I just wish I could eat here more often!

Absolutely wonderful. The restaurant is walking distance to the square at St Stephen’s Basilica, tucked away along a side street. The small amount of outdoor seating gives way to a large dining room with high ceilings and interesting decorations all around. The food was incredible. Massive choice and there were lots of gluten free options for my celiac friend. The service was great, with colleagues keen to know how the food was and whether they could bring anything else. A perfect meal for our final night on holiday in Budapest.

Had the pleasure of dining at a remarkable Italian restaurant that left me truly impressed. The starter was beautifully presented. It set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The main course, pork and goose liver. The pork was tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the richness of the goose liver. The culinary expertise on display was evident in every bite. This is at least my third visit over three trips here. Was initially recommended to me by a friend who spent a month or two in Budapest. The food is outstanding consistently and the service is also consistently. Great. Restaurant is actually big and had space for us for a late lunch. I always enjoyed their deli counter which is now moved across the street. They also have a dessert and ice cream store next to that. The deli store has lots of nice Italian specialty foods for purchase. They also have a menu of sandwiches that looks really good but I haven't had any of them yet to say. I always really enjoy coming to eat here. Highest recommendation! We spent about 50 to 60 US dollars each for three course. Lunch with drinks and cappuccinos. Was very fair and good price considering all we ate and drank as well as the outstanding food and service.

We ran into this lovely restaurant because we were avoiding the rain. We were very lucky. This place is well known for its authentic Italian food and excellent service.

Just wow! If you want luxury but authentic style with elegant and creative Italian dishes then this is the place to go. It had a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, prompt service and wait times for food and the best bit was … we could watch it being made as our seat was next to a large window into the kitchen. Incredible. It’s more of a premium setting not your average Italian pizza and carbonara style expect to pay a little more but it’s worth it! Oh and you need to book a table early you cannot turn up as it’s fully booked most nights. Enjoy :)

Beautiful interior building details. While it wasn’t busy, some of the staff seemed overly stressed and rushing. The food and ambiance were very good. If you can afford to splurge a little and enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, go here.

Realy a beautiful Trattoria in the City of Budapest. We had a great Free Walking Tour und went then to the Restaurant. It`s important that you do a reservation before! They are verry bussy and without you have to wait. The meal and the service was great! Realy a must have in Budapest. We had a starter a mean course and a dessert and the price was really good.

It was excellent. Nice vibe. Book the night before as walk in for dinner is unlikely There was a bit of upselling initially. But after we sorted it out, all went well. I would suggest you check out the menu and drinks so you know before you go. The profiteroles we exquisite. However I won't be returning. If found the staff a little less than welcoming
