Very very satisfied with this hostel! Rooms are a good size and clean. The bed was super comfortable. Wifi is working flawless. You have a HUGE storage space for your belongings, which can be opened with your room key. Staff is always near and ready to answer any questions. Showers are big and clean. There's shower cream included and a hair dryer at the your service. Location is better than I first thought. The area is just a bit shy from (I would call) the heart of the city. Public transportation is whatever direction you choose to walk. The river is 1 min walk from here, there you could relax and just take in a spectacular view. I would definitely come back and recommend maverick urban lodge 🌟

Stayed here with 9 friends. We were split across 3 different rooms. In each room you get your own locker which only you can open with your key card. There is a boys and girls shower and bathroom on each floor. There are two kitchens. The bar downstairs is great value and the food is very good. I got the burger and it was amazing. The rooftop is very nice and has loads of places to sit down. A basket of laundry costs €13 and takes about 1 day before you get it back. The staff were very helpful when recommending activities we could do and had loads of leaflets. Great place to stay and very social.

I stayed at this venue for almost a week and was satisfied with its service that the staff provided. The price is reasonable, yet the service is almost 5 star ⭐️ hotel. Especially Adam at the front desk was always friendly and helpful. He would make an extra effort to help me travel elsewhere in Hungary. It has a nice cafe and I was content with the food and service as well. I also liked the fact that it is located near the Danube river. I would go back anytime.

This has been a flawed experience for myself and my fiancée. During check-in, we had a very rude and patronising member of staff which didn't give our stay here a great start. Check in was relatively easy besides that. Our room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The TV worked and even had some channels available in English which I thought was a nice touch given the low-cost nature of this hostel. The sink did produce a very nasty sulfur smell whenever the tap was running, I'm unsure if this is the hotel or the Budapest waterworks at fault but it was the only fault with the room. The bar area doesn't allow outside food which is understandable, but does close very early for a bar. I'm unsure of the exact closing time but we once tried to have a beer around 22.00 and the bar had already been shut at that point. I personally wouldn't recommend getting food at the bar, and would recommend any visitors to walk up to one of the many main roads less than 2 minutes away and visit one of the many cafes, bistros or restaurants to get better food at a similar price point. After having a salmon croissant at the lodge, my stomach didn't feel great, though I can't say with certainty it was the food here. Lastly, checkout was a relatively easy process, we just handed back our key cards and the rest was taken care of by the staff. They do have free luggage storage for anyone who wants to hold their bags on site for a few hours to catch an evening train or flight. It does seem there was a little bit of confusion between the front desk staff and cleaning staff, as we had a cleaner try to enter our room while we were asleep as no one had informed them our stay included a late checkout, and after a small confrontation she finally left the room. All-in-all, if you're looking for a cheap comfy bed in a good location and don't mind risking having a little rudeness from the staff, it's not a bad choice, though I will personally be looking at other hotels and hostels should I come back to this beautiful city.

Not a bad stay. Very very clean hostel. Comfortable bed, blanket and pillow. Bed has a privacy curtain, locker, socket and shelf. 1 shower per 4 person dorm. There is also a shower room on multiple floors. Each floor has a kitchen as well as the main kitchen. Bar on the ground floor seems lively. Tram 4/6 nearby as is a metro and bus. Check in was slow, especially as I checked in online already so what was the point? Service without a smile too. Room was pretty quiet, temperature was good and wifi fast. For 10 euros no complains at all.

Very good hostel, very nice and friendly staff, Adam and all the reception team were great. The rooms are very clean and well constructed. Staff gives a lot of options and recommendations to enjoy Budapest.

Great experience, from the booking to tue check out. The prices are competitive and totally fair for the service provided. The hostel is within its own building and has its own pub/bar/restaurant. There are rooms for all needs (shared and privates ones) with access to kitchen and other shared spaces. The staff is kind and very open to help with suggestions and tips. It is perfectly central, great to reach any point of interest both walking and with public transport.

Very clean and fun hostel in the center of Budapest! Just a 5 minute walk away from the river and the tram to take you anywhere in the city. Definitely recommend. The staff are very kind as well. Adam has been very helpful in assisting us during our stay.

Super cozy and nice hostel. Very chill. Lovely atmosphere. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet and the beds all have a curtain which adds an extra layer of privacy.

Stayed here with my boyfriend in a private room with an en suite as it was a more budget friendly option for us- I was worried it would potentially be noisy at first given that this is a hostel but honestly staying there was such a good decision! Not only was it quiet in the evenings and a very good price, the room was also spotlessly clean, and all amenities you could possibly need are provided! They also offer discounts on the thermal baths and provide other excursion opportunities which was really helpful! Can’t recommend this place enough!!

The hostel was great. Parsa was very friendly and helpful, also always ready to guide and help if there was any issue. He also held the wine tasting event which was very fun. Parsa gave me very useful tips about where to go in the City and where to eat which I really appreciate because it made my trip to Budapest more enjoyable. The rooms are also nice and you can have your privacy with the curtains on beds.

Stayed in two maverick hostels on our trip to Budapest, loved them both! The urban lodge was so social and the interior was the coolest! The service was explicit and we were met by a very helpful and kind woman named Alexa in the reseption:) overall very pleased with our stay!

Best hostel I have ever been, felt spoiled by it. Rooms are clean and nice just like toilets and kitchen. Good for solo travelers as they offer plenty of group activities. They also have a bar/restaurant. Kitchens in every floor.

Literally the coolest hostel I have been to. Staff is amazing and friendly, rooms are perfect with curtains around the beds and lockers to all rooms. Common bathrooms in each floor for girls and boys. Common kitchens. They also do team building activities !!! We had FREE wine tasting and karaoke , it’s literally crazy! It’s also very clean! The WiFi is perfect too. So close to the center and walking distance to Central Market Hall. It was affordable and I’d go back every time 🥹

I came to the Maverick Lodge at the end of October 2023. After traveling through many countries in Europe the Maverick was a wonderful place to unpack my things and put my feet up. The overall atmosphere is super welcoming and accommodating, the two receptionists Daia and Ali helped me find wonderful sights to see and events to go to. As well as helping me through problems and concerns with ease and grace. The hostel is set up very well for travelers who want to experience Budapest fully. This is definitely the place for all types of people of all ages. I’ve met many great friends and people here at the Maverick.

All perfect. I just didnt wanna leave so extended my stay. I wish to come back again. Helpful people, delicious food and beers, perfect location and most clean and safe hostel ever.

Quite an amazing place, the girls in the reception were really warm and helpful at all times. Really modern with a nice common room and a worth visiting pub, clean rooms as well. Plus it has multiple activities during the day and night where you can get to meet people so it’s really suitable for solo trips. Last but not least, the rooms and the bathrooms are clean and the curtains provide so much more privacy than you expect from a dorm. Would definitely stay there again.

We had an awesome stay last year at the end of September at Mavericks Urban Lodge in Budapest! Special thanks to Adam with recommendations and always there to answer our questions. The pub crawl organised by the lodge was good fun. There was a group chat so you could connect with people staying there and made it easy to know what events were happening. We always felt safe, areas were clean and rooms were good. Would highly recommend!

Lots of privacy with this hostel! Every bed has a curtain, which can completely close up and provide residents with a private space. Toilets are very clean. There were 3 toilets and 3 showers and 3 basins, ensured that there are no queue despite the morning rush. Each room had a big locker, where luggages and back packs can all fit easily into the locker.

Very clean hostel! Rooms are good, only the doors are extremely noisy, it's impossible to close them quietly! The lockers in the rooms are a big plus! Very friendly staff! The location is also good. Concerning the kitchen: there should be marked "free" areas INSIDE the fridge and freezer, because people get the crazy idea to for example put their free milk or pizza in the marked areas outside the fridge.

The rooms & entire facility is very very clean. It is cleaned daily and you can tell! Dorm’s are very comfortable, you get a locker and a curtain so you can sleep very comfortably. All of the staff were always very helpful, special thanks to the legend Adam who gave endless recommendations & was great to have some chats with! Stayed for 3 nights and I had a great experience. Would recommend this as a stay in Budapest as it is in a good area and for the price you pay to stay, you get your money worth. 5/5

I had a great stay. Everyone is nice and friendly, i felt safe, clean and the beds are really comfy Some suggestions: 1.maybe you can consider some recycle bins where the kitchens are, to not put everything together 2. Maybe i can consider a new coat of paint. The walls on the main hall and some rooms are a bit dirty. Or maybe just wash them🤍

Had a three night stay at Maverick during Christmas and it was an overall really great experience. The interiors are very neat, tidy and well kept. Super clean bathrooms and toilet areas which are cleaned everyday. The staff is cordial and helpful. Value for money guaranteed. 10/10 would recommend

What a lovely experience! I had a very warm welcome from the wonderful person on the front desk, everything was very clean, there was this big space to keep my stuff in it safely, there were these huge and clean showers to use, great food and drinks with fair prices downstairs, good location and a very very comfortable pillow :D I’m literally already planning to go back there on my next trips to Budapest. Highly recommended!

The cleanest hostel I have ever been to. Well located, nice and very helpful staff with variable opportunities if you want to hang out with international people in the hall. Oh yes, the food in the bar is very delicious. Waiters were super nice and gentle. Will return! ⭐️

I don't usually stay in hostels but this was an emergency situation for me. But I was surprised, reviews were right! Everything was fine, clean well designed. Loved the place, it was filled with fine accepting people, also LGBTQ+ friendly. This hostel changed my views on hostels in overall because I was thinking about them in some stigmatized way. If in Budapest, I am choosing this hostel for sure, it can really save money if you are going there for sleep, shower and probably meal. Loved it.

Really enjoyed my stay!! Rooms and bathrooms were cleaned and cleaned regularly. Beds are comfy and private, and the bar in the main entrance is decent for meeting people. It’s not a massive party hostel but they help run events to meet people and go out organically. Would definitely stay here again!

I haven't ever expected this hostel to be that amazing. Everything was great: rooms were perfectly clean and surprisingly comfortable-pillows were extremely soft. Food in the restaurant was wonderful- really tasty and in nice affordable prices. All that with amazing staff that was always willing to answer any questions. 10/10, if I ever will be looking for a hostel in Budapest I'll definitely go here.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic location (walking distance from center). Great if you are looking to meet others. Rooms were quite hot with the air con being pretty ineffective. However, amazing place overall, one of the best hostels I've stayed in!

One of the best hostels that I have been. The location is okay, not too central but can be accessed by buses and trams. The hostel is clean, well-maintained, has a lot of activities for the guests, very friendly receptionists. The toilet and shower are clean. The bed has curtain so it gives you some kind of privacy. All in all, I could only recommend this hostel for anyone who would like to have a nice place to stay in Budapest. It has many eateries and shops nearby.

I would recommend this hostel to anyone!! Especially solo travellers.. as it’s such a great place to meet others and it’s so social - with different things happening during the evenings. From the minute I arrived all the staff were so helpful and lovely, Adam & Karolina really ensured that my stay was so great and that I got the most out of my stay/trip. I ended up extending my stay for another night.. and thankfully, Adam and Karolina were able to sort out a bed for me in dorm for that night even though it was pretty busy! 100% recommend this hostel and will most definitely be going back when I return to Budapest :)
