very cute little cafe, staff are friendly and english menu is very helpful! very calming atmosphere too. came here twice while in budapest, would recommend to anyone :)

Be careful in this place ! They cheating for money. For this breakfast I paid over 8000 forints ! Also service is not good, I ordered something different and received this from photos but accepted because didn’t have more time to waiting for correct order , of course my mistake that I didn’t check bill but usually I trust people in restaurants. I tried contact with this restaurant but nobody answer and they ignore me. When I will visit Budapest again I will come to remind them this situation.

It’s been a month for me to travel around Eastern Europe and this is the first time me feeling unpleasant. The guy didn’t even look at us or say hello or anything like that, not giving us a menu of course. I didnt care about at that time though. I took menu list myself while he was chatting around. When I ordered some food which was just was well… You can find out things look nothing special in the picture I attached. If he had been a bit nice, I wouldn’t have left this kind of review, even if the food was under average. (I guess he’s only friendly with his neighbor.) I had thought about that morning, which almost ruined my day …

What is the standard of bisztro? The space was small. Not special service. This is a very easy cooking food with no special taste. Bread like spar 100ft bread. Salad 400ft . Well maybe dried tomato a bit expensive. But it doesn't worth to pay for service fee to the food already overpriced

Perfect place with amazing stuff. So close to the parliament, Országház. There are also beautiful street view, cozy atmosphere, dishes for all tastes and, in addition, nice prices. Highly recommend! ❤️

sandwich with Bree cheese, apple, homemade pesto and rucola, on a fresh bread was very good. The place is nice and in a central area. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly. just one thing I am not quite sure about is the idea of serving fresh squeezed orange juice in a plastic bottle.. is like how fresh is it and they might reuse a bottle but cap is still going into the garbage bin. next time I won’t be ordering any drinks there unless it comes in a glass.

We love Ficak, the food is delicious, the old staff are very good people, but someone should tell the new lady to pay attention, she issued incorrect invoices (higher amount) several times, and in return issued fewer menus.

We had tasty food and great drinks at Focal Bisztro. But the brunch was ruined when a big dog barked aggressively at my wife as she opened the door to order food. With no room to step back, this was very scary. The dog's owner didn't even say a single sorry, acting like nothing happened. Staff who take order also didn't do anything. Enjoyed the food, but I won’t come again.

I just needed a quick coffee and a sit down after walking my feet off.. the coffee was poor and the service also.. no acknowledgement or cheer.. as a woman on my own it made me feel uncomfortable.. That said, the smell was amazing, and whatever the two locals were eating at the counter looked great.. Seems like a small but nice place, but I wouldn't go back.. maybe remind the staff that being friendly doesn't cost anything, and at the end of the day, it's customers that pay their wages?!

Visited in Oct 2022 with family and we all really loved it! It was the perfect lunch - we all enjoyed the sandwiches they had on offer. In particular, their hot chocolate was one of the best I've had acrossmy travels - 100% recommend! The indoor space is a bit small but I believe there is outdoor seating as well. Decor is super cute!

We accidentally found this little cafe just a couple of blocks away from the Parliament, we were trying to find something to eat before our scheduled tour inside the Parliament and I’m so glad we found this cafe! The prices are affordable plus the wraps we got were delicious and huge! We also recommend trying their desserts, probably the most delicious we have tried! We couldn’t eat more but we had to get one more because we knew we weren’t gonna try them afterwards 😅 I also realized that even though the place is quite close to the Parliament and that the area is touristy, many Hungarians probably working in the surrounding areas were getting lunch to go from this cafe so that is an extra point! Good prices and great service. Ordered a breakfast sandwich and one of the best I've had in recent times. For tourists, it's right near the parliament so it's a good stop for a cheap bite before/after a tour/visit.

They had a great choice of Chai latte, at least 6 to choose from. Reasonably priced as it is so close to the Hungarian Parliament Building. Delicious cake and iced latte. The hot coffee we ordered was warm enough to drink but could have definitely been hotter. The staff were lovely and the place was very clean

They are very nice! It's like I've just come home, even though we're here for the first time. Delicious food, family atmosphere. Everyone who comes in is like a member of the family. I'm not exaggerating, they bought me😉
