Friendly and kind staff, this place is like an always-welcoming open-minded community. For warmer nights or even for sunbathing I recommend the spacious terrace on the roof. * The most dog-friendly place around, where you can meet new doggo friends:) I am a bit missing their veg kitchen but their veggie sandwiches are also great options.

Here is an alternative community with experimental music concerts, and satisfying drinks. Even though the prices are slightly higher than other places, it is totally worth it.

Two MOME students(Hungarian girls) took me here. There's a band live that night. The atmosphere is cool. I drank a tea with alcohol ... Weird taste but warm

☑️ solid selection of 🍺 (lager, ales, IPA, gose) ☑️ solid selection of Club Mates ☑️ rooftop terrace ☑️ co-working space during the day ☑️ quiet enough to hear the comrades discussing Marxist policies 🔨

Gólya is, what ruin pubs were 20 years ago. A rundown building, with an eclectic collection of furnitures, in a still somehow seedy, but rapidly gentrifying part of town, but mostly without stag dos. Well worth a visit.

Very nice social place where to chill and have fun in the 8th District. Cool concerts also happening there

Feels like home, with friendly staff and a sense of community imbued into the physical space. If you're looking for a fancy bar this won't be it, but this place reeks of leftism in the best way possible

Expansive and authentic 'ruin bar' set over several floors, with live music most nights. Wide range of draft beer and other drinks at good prices, plus toasted sandwiches. Definitely a locals place, so speaking a little Hungarian certainly helps, but the atmosphere is very relaxed. Gets busy later on, especially up on the roof terrace.

What a lovely place. A great community centre that is an example of what breathing life into old buildings should look like. The bar dry me's give light snacks, drinks, beer and a variety of non-alcoholic options. I don't regret my visit, if I were local the place would become a place I would love to go.

One of the few leftie bars and community spaces in Budapest (the other one being Auróra), it's also a worker co-operative. Please support them in whatever way you can!

Very cool place with cool, artsy people. The gigs I attended were good. 3 floors, so plenty of space to hang out but it’s pretty popular, so might get packed if something big is being hosted. One thing to look out for- the floorboards on the top floor are old, one randomly broke in where my friend was sitting. She’s ok though haha

Left leaning, modern SJW type of place. Pretty expensive considering the socialist vibe. Tax the rich, but also let the poor pay more. 5 Greta out of 5

It is a three-storey event place, one big room for concerts on the ground, a first floor for chatting, and a rooftop terrace just for chillin' It is mainly for alternative music, but since they are a cooperative, there are a lot of other events as well.

Little hidden gem in the city. This is definitely one of the authentic ruins pub vibe in Budapest. Hopefully they can keep it this way and let the locals enjoy it.

A commune which is divided in 3 floors, with a roof top and a ground floor which is used for events. Prices are decent and affordable.
