Japan Okonomiyaki Tatsu

Restaurant Casual japanese style restaurant

👍 Here is a cute little restaurant in the city center. We had both classic and all-in-one okonomiyaki. For me, the all-in-one okonomiyaki was much better than the classic one. It is also enjoyable to watch it while your food is being prepared. The staff was smiley and friendly. Overall, I really liked... Very cute little establishment. We had two different kinds of omelettes, info on the ingredients was a bit shady (the okonomiyaki in this place seem to contain pork by default). Interesting to follow the cooking while sitting on the counter. Didn’t like the wooden utensils though. Taste was good but not the best I’ve had.

The best place to eat in Budapest! I felt like I was in someone’s house and the host cooked dinner for us! The atmosphere was super cozy and the chef friendly and kind. After he cooked in the open kitchen he served us the most delicious Japanese food I’d ever tasted. I wish one day I will come again in Budapest just to eat at this place.

A little piece of Japan right in Budapest! The owner is super nice and the food is just amazing! If you don't know Okonomiyaki, try it out here, you won't find those places everywhere 😁 Plus: you can watch the creation of your meal 👌

Very tiny place with a few tables where you can try popular Japanese street food Okonomiyaki. There are only 2 types of this dish: Hiroshima and Osaka style. I liked the second one more, but the portion isn't big. You can also watch how the man cooks the dishes, it's really interesting.

A cute hole in the wall type Japanese restaurant concept, serving savory Hiroshima or Osaka style Okonomiyaki. The milieu is nice, cramped, and the place only has about 7 seats. It's catered for quick eats or takeout. The food is good and they also have nice selections for Japanese plum wines. The okonomiyaki were good, but was disappointed the toppings were Minimum. In Japan, the toppings are dumped, especially the green nori and bonito flakes. The pork dumpling were nice. Here, they were used sparingly 😑 The takoyaki were disappointing, because they were tiny, couldn't see the octopus, and it was lukewarm, so i wouldnt recommend ordering this one, unless the chef prepares and serves in front of the customer. They tasted like frozen takoyaki. Since the restaurant is a one man show or chef, he takes a lot of time to cook the dishes, so be patient with the chef. He is nice guy, but he needs a helper, especially when lots of orders come in at once. If ones hasn't tried okonomiyaki in Budapest, and wants to experience a Japanese hole in the wall, I would recommend trying this place out.

Good Okonomiyaki, but could have been cooked better. Also I got one Okonomiyaki differently than ordered. Still, a quite original place focussing mainly on Okonomiyaki. They even serve Kansai and Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki.

I can't remember how many times I've missed this restaurant, because every time I go the restaurant is closed. And maybe today is my lucky day. I think we were the last guests of the day 😅 We ordered one Hiroshima No.3, one Kansai green orion, cheese and Takoyaki. The taste is suitable for Asians. If I have a chance, I still want to come back and enjoy other dishes of the restaurant.

Lovely authentic Japanese-style okonomiyaki, a little street food shop with limited capacity. The young owner is very kind and hospitable. We went at lunchtime, you don't need a reservation but it is highly recommended. Classic cheese & onion okonomiyaki was made in front of us on the spot, it was deliciously fresh and tasty.

The man inside was very kind. There is a open kitchen therefore you can see how your very tasty food is prepared with all details. I can really recommend it.

A nice small 'snack bar'. Easy to get to but you might miss it the first time walking by. The atmosphere was cozy, the owner/chef/cashier (one-man army) was extremely nicee. Unfortunately, some items weren't available, it's a "demand-supply" thing I believe. Takoyaki was bite-size and delicious, Hiroshima okonomiyaki making was a show to see, built by layering; Kansai was more 'tame' to make. Overall the food was great! I would recommend the Hiroshima seafood if you only want one dish.

After 2 visits, the restaurant was closed, the 3rd time I came back I was able to try this dish. The space is quite small, but the quality of the food is good. I like the view when the chef cooks directly outside. A famous pancake in Japan worth trying.

It is an authentic place with native people, who are really kind but also there could be some language barrier. I am not a big fan of the Asian cuisine, but it tasted how I would expect to be tasted a dish like this. So even though I did not enjoyed that much I know people who likes this cuisine would love it☺️.

I ate the no3. Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. It was excellent just like the service. I don’t have to travel to Japan! :)

A very small place for a total of 6 people. The food is special, we liked the appetizers the best. I haven't been to Japan yet, so I don't know what the original dishes are like, but everything here was really good. The service is fantastic (although they only speak English). I recommend everyone to try it.

The food here is amazing and the process of making the food can be seen. The owner is very nice, he gave us free wine, we will definitely come again next time.

I highly recommend you to step in to this place while in Budapest. In spectacular way Victor will prepare delicious okonomiyaki right in front of you. Mine was served in Hiroshima style. Amazing!

A tiny spot that fits 8-9 people, this place serves up tasty and affordable food. The staff, including a friendly owner, keeps things easygoing. There's a chef cooking in front of you downstairs and a sous chef prepping upstairs. The food might take a bit, but it's totally worth the wait.

It was our first time having Okonomiyaki, we didn’t know what to order and the chef( I should have asked his name) explained us patiently every detail. I ordered the one with green onion, and it was very delicious !😋 the sake was good as well. Definitely recommended 👍
