👍 Nice shopping promenade and so called Fashion Street for Ladies and Gents, with number of outlets restaurants and bars. Few upscale hotels are also nearby. It is for pedestrians only and connected to main transport and metro hub Deak Ference Square. Short walk away from Danube river.

In 1789, as part of the district's renovation plans, baron János Schilson, chamber councilor, laid the foundations of Naghyhíd street, which became the first connection between the city center and the Danube bank. After the Pest flood of 1838, on the site of the northwestern tower of the 12 rondelles of the former Pest city wall, and then the ruins of Kemnitzer's Great Coffee House, at the beginning of the street (no. 1), the Queen of England Hotel, named after the British Queen Victoria who was enthroned at that time, was built . The famous resident of the hotel was Ferenc Deák, the "wise man of the country", after whom the street was named in 1866. (Together with the square next to it, which also bears the name of Ferenc Deák, these two (personally named) public areas are the oldest names in Budapest that have not been changed.)[1]

It is the shopping street of Budapest. It is a beautiful street with fashion and souvenir shops that crosses from the Jewish quarter to the Danube River. It is a place you have to visit if you are going to visit Budapest.
