Found this place near the H&M store. After shopping and spending time in the shop i was tired and wanted to take rest. Found a small park near this statue. The statue in the center of the square. The park means this is a great place to sit and relax while enjoying the statue. Lot of kid usually play near this statue as Pigeons and birds usually are found in this near the statues. This place is perfect because there is plenty shopping places throughout Vaci utca, so people come here to take rest.

In the middle of the cozy square is the monumental statue. According to legend, a beggar also gave his only possessions to a "Mary". The sculptors incorporated it into the base of the statue, which is still visible. Look for it yourself...

Discovered the Mihaly Vorosmarty Statue as we walked from our Viking River Boat to see enjoy the immediate area. There are many lovely sites to see such as restaurants - you can enjoy a meal in the many outside dining areas, find just about every kind of shop you desire and discover lovely statues and scenes of Budapest.

Very nice statue in the center of the square. A park like settings means this is a great place to grab a bite and relax while enjoying the statue.

The square and Christmas market are very pretty, but there is a massive tourist tax on the food! If you're on a budget, this is not a place to eat.

Budapest as a whole is beautiful. Starting our day and seeing this statue was amazing each time. Would be interesting to know how long it took to create it.

The whole square was wonderful and the statue was beautiful. Whatever is happening in this square at the time of your visit (Christmas Fayre during our visit) you should go!

On Vörösmarty Square, there is a statue of the poet made of Carrara marble, which was the first to be erected in Budapest and celebrated its 110th anniversary in 2018. With its monumental mass, the statue is located in the middle of Vörösmarty Square, also named after him, surrounded by trees. Recently, the entire square was renewed, beautified, and re-paved.
