The donuts were amazing as usual. But I have been wanting to tell you that the service you get there is horrible, I am not sure how they are treated others. Have been there almost 4times but didn't change. You’d be better to find a better place or just order. I am not familiar with writing a review but I had to tell you about it.

Enjoy everything we order and did not regret the calories spent here! Love how both the ice cream bar and the donut were perfect on the sweetness. The donut not only looks pretty, but also taste good! I wasn’t expect the jam in the middle and it definitely added more texture, flavor in the donut. Will be back again!

Excellent location, easily accessible from the 4/6 tram and across the street from Nyugati Train Station. Menus were available in English and Hungarian. Staff was friendly and efficient. Every thing I had tasted delicious. Immediately after opening the door there were 3 steps to enter the restaurant. Order and pick up at the counter, which makes for very efficient service.

Donuts were dry and seamed not fresh made. Amaricano coffee was thin and lacked coffee taste. Milkshake with banana was thin and no taste of vanilla or banana. Unpolite service. This costed around 50000 huf. Waste of money.. Macdonalds make a lot better coffee, Donuts and Milkshake, so go to Mac Cafe across the street!

I recently visited The Box Donut and had a great experience. The donuts were delicious, but we opted for something savory and went with the bacon and cheese toast. It was very delicious and very filling. The jalapeno was quite spicy, which was a nice surprise. We wanted tea to warm us up as it was a cold day, but unfortunately they only had teabags. Fresh mint would have been much better They also have a bathroom, but it's behind the counter. All in all, I would definitely recommend The Box Donut.

Very unique donut that I have never seen before I went to this place. The flavour is prominent and the variety is wide. You get a good quality product for the price that you pay for.

Stopped in ot of curiosity. The store is very nice and the staff pleasant and efficient. The selection was creative and looked very interesting. I heard an Oreo donut and it was tasty but nothing remarkable. It was similar in texture to that of coffee chains.

Going into this place was the best and the worst decison at the same time. The best because it was the best donut I have ever eaten. The worst because I live very far away and can only dream about eating it every day. Every time I go back to Budapest, I defenitely go here and try something new. I have tried many flavours and have never been disappointed!

Went there for breakfast during trip to Budapest and definitely would recommend this place for breakfast. Nice bagels ... Square in shape... Complemented with fresh orange juice and water infused with fresh mint and lemon. Great start of the day.

The donut ideas are creative, and I like that they vary their selection throughout the year (seasonal and limited edition flavors), but the execution comes just a bit short of exceptional for me. All of the donuts I've tried were very good, but on a number of occasions I felt like the flavor wasn't as "full" and rich as it could've been--this is especially true of the filling/cream and toppings part, because the dough is pretty much perfect. I think the sweetness could also be turned up a bit. Would still absolutely recommend, though.

Has many assorted pricy donuts, and they are often cold, dry, and perhaps days old. Would be nice if they served plan donuts that are warm, but they don't have them. Also, found they charges for take away boxes for a donut shop very silly. The inside is small, and not the best milieu for a fancy colorful donut shop. If the establishment is based on take away, the boxes should be included for the pricy donuts charges. So advice, clients to better bring a Tupperware or pay for a box tax, when you will be throwing it away. Found the servers not so friendly, quite robotic, and don't clean the tables as well. Still looking for a good simple donut shop in Budapest, but no luck so far. If someone wants a sugar boost, you can try this place, but you wouldnt get a wow feeling, and you won't go back for low hospitality atmosphere.

I received free donut. Owner told me i am one of their fist customers 😄. I am not recommending this cafe not because i received free donut 🤣I just liked vibe in here. It is so cosy. Also i like big window, sitting and reading and watching busy street

We’ve visited the donut box for brunch. The donuts are very delicious. I am Krispy Kreme donut 🍩 fan but having these while in Budapest I have to say these are far better than Krispy Kreme donuts ! Love how the donuts are square . They also do square shaped bagels 🥯. They look amazing but also taste amazing! Wish we had the donut box here in the UK 🇬🇧 My daughter uses a wheelchair so it was a little tricky to get in as there are stairs as soon as you go through the door. So it takes 2 people to get in one to bring the wheelchair in and the other to support the person with mobility issues. Apart from that, we were really glad to have visited.

Square donuts. Wow. Nobody has thought of that before. The taste is as you'd guess it. It tastes donut but with a little bit of a Hungarian touch of the famous "fánk". For this price ($3 a piece) I would expect a bit more filling.

Very nice place. Good coffee, nice donuts.

The ice cream only looks tempting. Nothing beyond that. The brownie means 7-8 chunks of brownie topping and thats it & Rocher means crushed nuts thrown over the ice cream bar which is essentially all the same from inside.

I really love a good donut and randomly stumbled across this place after a burger. There is so much donuts to choose from I really did not know what to go for. The prices reflect the type of donut you want. Staff didn’t speak great English.

Sweet and savoury donuts. Very tasty. Great spot to pick up a breakfast "bagel", offer all the classics - reccomend salmon and cream cheese or duck fillet. The sweet stuff is good too, creme brulee donuts are delish. Very reasonably priced, and good for quick food, in and out in minutes.

Expensive but the doughnut selection is very good - and tasty - but don't go if you're counting calories.

I had a salmon bagel and a Boston donut (vanilla filling, dark chocolate coating) for 2380 Ft. The donut was very nice. The look of the bagel was also neat, but the bagel itself didn’t feel fresh (was a bit dry and tough). I felt a New York Bakery Co. bagel from the supermarket (toasted) would have been better. I'll come back for donut, but not for bagel.
