Few people know that the 📻 Magyar Rádió had the world's first studio palace. Everyone, including the British themselves, believes that the BBC headquarters was the first, but construction progressed faster in Budapest, and 5-7 Bródy Sándor utca was already completed by 1928. building with the first studios in the courtyard of his houses (at that time Sándor utca 7.), while Broadcasting House in London only opened its doors in 1932.

(Translated by Google) The Fisherman's Bastion is one of the most amazing architectural monuments in all of Budapest, striking for its grandeur and snow-white walls. Masterfully executed arches and arcades, windows and terraces, towers and balustrades attract and fall in love with tourists who want to learn the secrets hidden in this fabulous, as if from paintings, building. Travelers walking through the bastion can mentally enter the Middle Ages and feel like heroes of a historical film. This amazing place no longer performs its defensive function, but has become a wonderful observation deck with an incredible panorama of Budapest. The strange name of the building often misleads travelers. In fact, it is due to the fact that many local fishermen worked in the central square of the bastion. Of course, there were many attacks during that period, so the inhabitants had to guard the fortress. It was the fishermen who got this part of the bastion wall and they were ready at any moment to stop trading and stand up for the city. Eventually, the building lost its defensive character and skilled craftsmen turned the building into a fabulous work of art. Also, in 1906, a monument to St. Stephen was added to the architectural ensemble. Unfortunately, the bastion suffered from German bombing, as did most of Europe. Restoration required not only huge sums of money, but also a long period of time. The initiator of the repair work was the son of the first architect of the bastion - Janos Shulek. The Budapest authorities are now doing their best to protect the historical monument from the effects of nature, as in 1980 another restoration was carried out due to the accumulation of harmful gases and the destruction of a large number of monuments. Due to its rich history, the Fisherman's Bastion was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987. Few people know, but in St. Michael's Church you can watch a 3D film about the history of Hungary. Only a few tourists know about this opportunity, so there are always few people. The duration of the film is 15-20 minutes. In general, visitors have the opportunity to learn about the history, traditions of Hungary, turning points for the people. One of these is the introduction of tanks by the Soviet army in Budapest. It is important to take headphones and switch to Ukrainian or Russian before starting the film. The second interesting fact is that the seven towers of the bastion symbolize the seven leaders who inhabited the territory of Hungary in 895. The historical monument is open 24 hours a day. Entrance to the bastion is free. A ticket is only required if you want to climb to the top of the building. The cost of climbing the tower for adults is 700 forints, for children and students the price is twice less - 350 forints.

(Translated by Google) Christmas mood. Beautifully renovated. "The Castle Garden Bazaar (also known as the Castle Bazaar) is located in the 1st district of Budapest, on Ybl Miklós Square. It is an outstanding monument, part of the world heritage. Originally a commercial function, its arcades were once full of shops. From 1883 to 1888, the Buda Women's Industry Workshop operated in its northern wing, and from 1890 to 1895, the Historical Portrait Hall was on display here. From the 1890/91 school year until 1918, a women's painting school was housed in the building. In 1884, Alajos Strobl was the first sculptor to have his own studio in the arcade of the bazaar. He was followed by about eighty of his fellow artists over the next hundred years. It was severely damaged during World War II. Between 1961 and 1984, the building housed the Buda Youth Park (nicknamed “Ifipark”, abbreviated as BIP), which hosted many musical events and concerts. Among others, Metro, Bergendy, Elijah, Omega, Kati Kovács, Liversing, Dogs, Kex, Juventus, Mini, Fireball and Chess-Matt played here. [1] In 1980, during an Edda concert, the stone wall of the stairs leading to the park entrance collapsed. Its condition has steadily deteriorated since the 1980s, leading to the complete closure of the building. The flats belonging to it were constantly evacuated. In 1984, the operation of Ifipark ended with the concert entitled Electric Funeral. (Original) Karácsonyi hangulatban. Gyönyörűen felújítva. "A Várkert Bazár (más néven: Várbazár) Budapest I. kerületében található, az Ybl Miklós téren. Kiemelt műemlék, a világörökség része. A hozzá tartozó lakásokat folyamatosan kiürítették. 1984-ben az Elektromos temetés című koncerttel zárult az Ifipark működése.

It has several buildings. I've been to concerts in the Marble Hall several times. Of course, the concert was always very high-quality. And the good thing is that it's often free. It would be worth it to me even if there was an entrance fee, but I don't like it when they cut through. The announcement of the last concert did not state that you had to buy a ticket (unlike the previous one), although it is true that it was not free either. It was only found out on the spot that a ticket is required, and even the cloakroom fee is HUF two hundred. The hall is beautiful, the building is centrally located. The approach is easy and the parking is solved.

The good part is run-down, old socialist "masterpieces". The older, more valuable parts of the building are not in good condition either. But the band is wonderful!

We went to the Süsü exhibition, which was connected to a radio and television history exhibition. The exhibition is small but friendly. They tried to bring together as many senses as possible. The staff is nice, they know a lot about the presented objects (it seems they take care of the objects with love), so you can learn a lot of interesting things from them. At first I didn't understand the role of the tablet given at the counter, but I saw with others that it was possible to take a picture with it as if they had taken a photo with Süsü. In the Süsü section, we can see the remaining puppets (Torzonborz grew legs over time - maybe he finally conquered an empire or a heart), we can smell dragon grass as a puzzle, sing karaoke to Süsü's popular songs (with lyrics), sit in the king's throne, try the royal banquet table . We also saw a projection on the making of fairy tales. We even watched Süsü's fairy tale for the first time. For the second time, we were able to follow the story of an old news station, laugh out loud and see how they handled the wrong sayings. In the other part, I could enjoy old radios and TVs (it was good to see some of them again). We tried out the jukebox (I can only recommend it to everyone) And there is a readable history consisting of newspaper articles and photographs in the radio TV and Süsü section as well. At the counter, you can buy DVDs of valuable stories and other souvenirs at friendly prices. They said they were planning exhibitions from Neighbors and other popular series. I hope that the necessary funds will be collected. I will definitely go, I can't wait to be there again! THANKS A MILLION FOR THE COOKIES! I LOVE IT SINCE I WAS A CHILD.

One of the most memorable lovely experiences in my life here in Hungary. I loved the atmosphere, the peaceful scenery from afar and the lights of the castle as well as the beautiful romantic garden aloft. It's definitely worth visiting several times.

(Translated by Google) I am very grateful that they have taken on such a job and renovated it so beautifully. It was beautifully ruined too, but anyone can be proud of its current condition! If the weather is nice, you can spend time here very pleasantly. One always discovers something new detail that previously escaped his attention. The view of the river and the city is unconsciously beautiful.

This place is awesome! Garden in front of the castle makes it only better! I loved this place because there were not a lot of tourists and it is easily reachable from almost anywhere. What is more, from the distance it also looks great and in my opinion everybody should visit it at least once!

(Translated by Google) I totally recommend visiting these gardens. First of all, because they are beautiful to see and have precious sculptures and fountains. Secondly, and even more importantly, from them you can climb on foot to the highest part of the castle, skirting the old wall and the brick paths. For me, who love this type of castles, it was the best thing I could do. In this way, you will see the castle in its entirety, walking along its not so well known paths and enjoying its beautiful views.

Beautiful buildings, but currently not an event so not open to the public. That's a shame because the architecture is very impressive and should also be worth seeing inside. Definitely go if you have the opportunity to visit it, it's worth it.

a disappearing world, a museum attraction for the young generation. In light of this, I was dismayed to read that the Márvány Terme events will be pushed out of the easily accessible downtown region, they will be free, but this amount will not be enough for a taxi.

This place was so, so beautiful. It was very scenic and photogenic, like something out of a fairytale. I wish I could come back here. It is a place where you could sit and enjoy a meal, or somewhere you could take wedding/romantic photos. The view from above is nice but so is the actual garden area.
