Food was delicios, atmosphere is so calming and the waiter Zoli is such a wonderful human being! Because of him, we came twice to the restaurant for our few days stay in Budapest. Best butter chicken I’ve ever had in my life. You just need to experience this!

Finally we found a restaurant in Budapest which has it all - kind service, an elegant decor and incredible food. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and can't wait to return next time. The food is absolutely delicious, all the flavours were intense but nothing was overpowering, and the appetisers - I'm still thinking about them. 5* across the board, everything was perfect.

One of the best tasting authentic Punjabi Indian restaurant. Beats many Indian restaurants even in UK hands down IMHO. So it was a very pleasant surprise we ended up at this Indian Palate, that too in Budapest, is our luck. Their lamb briyani is unique taste unlike anything you may have tasted before. The recipe seems to have been passed down through generations. Don't miss their wonderful white wine, as it beautifully compliments all the vegetarian starters and saag lamb, butter chicken with bones, daal makani. Finally for the desserts don't miss the saffron phirni. Even the Rose lassi was way too good. Finally the staff were amazing, including the owner and the chef.

Amazing Indian food with warm service. The waitress suggested that we choose medium spicy, which turned out perfect as we could feel the wonderful spiciness and, at the same time, other flavours from the ingredients. Also, the pistachio ice cream was super good!

It was foodgasm at its best here. We were totally blown away by the quality and the taste of the food. Started with the mango lassi - the best I’ve had outside of India. The Galouti kebab was melt in mouth, would make the Nawab proud. The samosa chaat - their curd and the sweet tamarind chutney with the crispy little samosas, authentic at its best. We then had the degi Mirch chicken curry - a no frills dish, paired it with the laccha paratha and roti, both of them were winners. We chose the Zaffrani phirni for the dessert and matched our sweet levels and tasted really good.I highly recommend the place if you are in Budapest, i’m sure to go again.

I love Indian food, and usually everywhere I’m going I’m trying the local Indian food. this is my third Indian restaurant in Budapest, A very nice atmosphere, very nice location, also nicely decorated with great stuff and good food. maybe I’m a bit picky, but I had better butter chicken in Budapest. it’s a good restaurant, I love the lemonade here, worth to visit them and try their food. Friendly staff, a very clean and nice restaurant overall.

This is by far the best Indian food I have experienced outside of India. The owners are delightful and came to say hello. Zsani, our waitress, was very attentive and fantastic. Food was out of this world. We had the chicken from the tandoor and it was superb. The lamb was cooked perfectly. It was very busy this night so the wait was a bit long, but well worth it. Don’t miss this gem of a restaurant.

Me and my girlfriend visited here today and had to say the atmosphere the food the staff, everything was exceptional, and plus we had a live band. Every dish we had was mouthwatering, especially Dal Makhani, which was recommended by the lovely staff member. Even Gin and tonics were made from Indian crafted gin, loved the every bit of the time we spent here.

We visited this place twice on our visit to Budapest. The staff were kind enough to accommodate us without a reservation on both occasions. We ordered samosas, paneer tikka, paneer butter masala and bhindi fry. Bhindi fry is one of the best we have ever tasted ! Authentic Indian food, good ambience and great service ! Absolutely stunning restaurant. I'm quite familiar with indian food and this place is purely outstanding. The quality of the dishes is incredible, you get to taste a lot of different things, especially if you are not alone. The staff is extremely friendly, intelligent and professional. The cook is from India so he knows his business. I double dare everyone to give it a try at least once. 6k is a very reasonable price for an authentic indian experience. PS: be careful with the byriani though. I managed to bite on a whole cardamom 😃

Delicious food, exactly how you would get in India. Ambiance is really nice and chic. Unlimited refill of food and drinks. It will make you ready-to-burst stomach kind of full. 😰😅 Host is really kind and he make sure if everything is okay. It was raining heavily when my friend and I were leaving. They asked us to sit inside till rain subsides and offered tea. We were waiting for payment for like 10minutes and later came to know it was on the house! 😃 I would recommend tea here, it was really Indian! I haven't tasted authentic tea like this in any other Indian restaurant.

Very nice experience, beautiful design, really feels like in a palace. Fortunately they had a table for us. We ordered the least spicy dishes, but still, briani rice was too spicy for us. I’m sure that the place is amazing. Unfortunately they mistaken 4 out of 5 dishes we ordered. The aftermath is that my girlfriend hates Indian and I couldn’t turn her opinion around with the specific dishes that I knew she would love and ordered, but didn’t receive. The staff was extremely polite and apologised for the mistake (there was a new waitress), but this doesn’t change the fact we ate something completely different than what we ordered. The chefs are Indian. The portions are small but you can get as many as you like. And it is always piping hot. Great place and i really recommend it!

The best Indian food I've ever had! When we arrived (around 5:30 pm) the restaurant wasn't really busy, so we wondered If the food will be good. We were a bit overwhelmed with all there was on the menu, so we went for the tasting menu, that costs 7.000 ft per person and it was the best choice. You get small portions of everything to try, but believe me, there is a lot to try 😂 Although you have to wait for your meal, the food was perfect, genuine, fresh and the presentation was beautiful. The staff was awesome too. All in all, we surely will come back, when we are in Budapest again.

This appears to be the best Indian restaurant in town — it’s a delight what is being served here, and that includes a rich palette of Gin & Tonic to round off the excellent food served here. We’ve had the dal lentils, which turned out a great choice; rich and creamy from 24 hours of cooking, yet gentle on the stomach and so full of flavour. The curry shrimps were superb, featuring fresh shrimps from the sea and a rich coconut based curry sauce with plenty of taste in it. Service was great, leaving a much enjoyable experience.

It was delicious no matter what we ordered (I tried from everyone on the table 😊) the atmosphere was really good until the staff start hovering during your meal (shame) however, the food and staff were so good, I can forgive the multiple hover actions. Food was fantastic....staff are young and friendly. Everyone there was cool, the place is classy and nice. Just one thing that felt weird. Its an Indian restaurant, yet nobody speaks Indian (urdu), they speak English instead. Otherwise you definitely will enjoy what you came for, which is great food, but not that 100% Indian experience. Deliciously deep flavors, melt in your mouth meats, everything cooked to perfection. Not at all oily or overly rich as can sometimes be the case. Lovely waiting staff and host. Very reasonably priced. If you're in town you have to check it out!

This is the 2nd time I’ve been here and I must say that the first time was 100% better as the first. The food is really really good. A bit spicy for my liking but all in all, very good. The first time we came here everything was top. And then came this time.. The waitress didn’t take the order correctly. My mates naan bread came out late to which he had pretty much finished his food so didn’t want it any more. The boss came over to us and gave us a complimentary ice cream as an apology which was nice. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Budapest and we believe that the service wasn’t as good due to the amount of people that was also being looked after ☺️

The menu contains all the good stuff you would need at an Indian restaurant. Mango lassi is more than recommended :). Waiters are well trainined and humble,ready for your requests. The owner himself takes care of your needs, probably even more. With this price this is rather cheap. I can just highly recommend.

second time trying Indian food and it did not disappoint. the place looks clean, it has nice environment and good music. the staff and manager are very friendly and attentive, they will keep checking if the food is okay or if we need anything. the staffs are patient and calm as well, they will make great suggestion if we are still confused. we had del mahkani, chicken tikka masala and roghan josh kashmiri, they were all delicious and i would definitely reccommend the chicken dish. overall it was a very satisfied experience.

The staff were all very kind, attentive and helpful (it was my last night in Budapest and the waiter kindly let me pay part cash and part card so I could get rid of my leftover Hungarian forints). 10/10! One of the best Indian restaurants not only in Budapest, but in Europe. Food is exceptional. The Daal Makhni, the Garlic Naan, Palak Paneer, all superb. I miss the Bindhi Masala which you don't do anymore, that was amazing - hopefully you will bring it back some day. I travel from London to Budapest often and this is my first and last stop. Went there for my birthday lunch and loved the food. We asked for the extra spicy (they call it Indian spicy) and got chicken biriyanis, naan and a curry paneer. Paneer was the highlight actually. Very tender and seasoned well. And the mango lassi was amazing. We were too full for desserts . Must go again to try some desserts as well.

Tried several Indian places in Budapest but this is a different league. Curries that are actually spicy and differ in flavor and texture from one another. Biryani that doesn't taste like Slovak risotto (mixed rice with meat) - it's very well spiced. The naans are also great, incl the special ones. This is a place you will keep coming back to.

Some days ago I saw the advertisement of this restaurant near the M2 underground station and decided to give it a try. I was astonished as soon as I entered the gate by the luxurious decorations. The photos hanging on the wall almost made me believe that I was dining in a Palace. The staffs are quite friendly. They explained to me about the dishes, although it's quite a pity that you can only choose 2 kinds of main dishes to taste, as welk as for other dishes. In this way, it's a bit unfair for those who have zero idea of what those dishes are. A hot lentil soup was served first. Then comes the roast Malay chicken and Roti as appetiser. Although the vegetable salad was a bit salty, the roast chicken is still pretty successful. I ordered lamb korma and goan prawn curry for main dish. Both taste authentic and are absolutely delicious, however, there wasn't much meat inside. They were basically like cream soup rather than stew. As for the lamb rice, it went well with any of the siders. Speaking about that, i do like to point out that the black bean stew was salty. To my surprise the dessert was served together in the set. It was comfortably sweet, since the milky flavour of the fried ball really balanced it out. Besides that, the mango lassi was also a success. As for the price, i found out that a 10% service fee would also be charged only after i sat down at the table. This way, a lunch all you can eat meal is 5500 Ft instead of 5000 on the advertisement. I later checked the official website, they didn't mention it either. The staffs are quite nice and well trained . They were tidy, and they neither tended to stand too close to you, nor to stair at you, although I could hear them talking to each as if they were angry. Overall it was a nice experience, but maybe a lunch menu would be better for me, and my stomach of course :)
