Such a shocking experience!!! When you’re not Hungarian you are simply not used to the level of disrespect I was shown by the medical team here. I was laughed at, told I was an uneducated mother who clearly didn’t care about my baby. What’s worse is that what I had done to deserve this vitriol was to follow the medical research and standard practice in Australia- which surprise surprise little old Hungary had not yet heard of. I heard Hungary had not progressed but this was something else. As an Australian who is used to being treated with respect this was horrific.

As foreigners resident in Hungary we managed to get our 15 year old son a Covid vaccine after registering him even though he does not have a TAJ card. The staff, police and military in attendance were super helpful and friendly. It's very appreciated. Thank you!

Let me start by saying that there are A LOT of them on a Saturday. This wouldn't cause a problem, but the blond creature in his 40s at the reception really annoys people when he receives a child with a fever of 40 degrees in a rude, under-educated manner! The fact is that healthcare is a bunch of …. in the country, but the fact that the receptionist thinks he is doing us a favor is more than enough. I ask myself that I keep such an "employee" from my taxes! Empathy is zero, humanity is zero, the whole care is a DAMN BIG ZERO!!!!!!

An old, famous children's hospital. Parking is not really solved, there is a paid parking lot in the square behind the hospital. The line at the patient control center went quickly, there were many people, but several windows are working. In the laboratory, the crying children were comforted with teddy bears during blood sampling. There is a playground in the yard of the hospital.

I just moved back the USA and I am very impressed with the care my son received, it was extremely thorough, we had to stay in for 15 nights. I never had better care in any other country. To the whole staff - thank you for saving my son’s life!

You get the worst medical services here. Bad mannered and extremely racist staff! Ignorant and uneducated doctors! I don't know why no one inspects this center to provide better services? They are very slow. Every time I visited, I waited there for more than 3-4 hours. The doctors here are very irresponsible and respond with reluctance and impatience. And this behavior is completely inhumane. Also, if you don't have a TAJ card, make sure you have money with you because it won't be accepted.

I went with my little kid there for emergency case. The receptionist was kind but doesn't speak English so she called an English speaker to help. After sometime, a doctor checked my kid and she was a native English speaker so it was so easy to contact and understand her examination. The doctor was so kind and her advice was so helpful for my kid health. Generally, this hospital is very good place for treatment.

Well organised hospital. Nice garden. The staff is versitale... lovely outfit after renovation.

In 7 hours of waiting we received no help!! This is a cesspool - not an ambulance! Don't waste your time and don't torture your child! Look for any other ways to solve the problem! We arrived with a temperature of 40 in a one-year-old child, waited for 5 hours .. Our turn does not fit .. Although people called some after us .. in general, they sort as they want! The reception staff is not at all qualified! The child is 40, they say it’s okay, wait, they asked for an antipyretic.. they got it with difficulty.

We had a terrible experience. We came at a very non-busy time with our 4 year old who just had fever (we were tourists) and they had us wait 7 hours for 20 minutes of medical care. They pushed multiple people ahead of us (maybe because we are foreigners?), and wanted to prepare an iv for a child there was no medical reason to give him one (imagine a 4 year old with prepared iv and blood coming out of it, FOR NO MEDICAL REASON). A really bad hospital, would recommend anyone to avoid it.

I would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the infectiology department. They took great care of my son and were professional, kind, and caring. Of course I never want to come to the hospital again, but if I had to come back I would be confident that this department would handle the job :)

While enjoying my wonderful stay in this 5 star hotel I couldn't see the 2 stadiums in the vicinity. Because of this I give the Hungarian "EGÉSZSÉGÜGY" 1 star😀😀

Friendly staff + we were able to register at the entrance in English and our Doctor spoke English and German. The treatment was also very professional and done in a kids friendly atmosphere/environment. Especially for expats having an emergency with your kids I can highly recommend. Thank you!

We have great experience at the hospital Sunday evening. I called on the phone to check are they have special rules because of COVID. When we arrived we talk with the some person and no need to explain all again. The doctor was available quickly and made very good examination, took a blood test to be sure of the diagnosis, send us for second option with the special. This totally change my experience from before in different emergency hospitals in Hungary were we wait for 7 hours to see the doctor!! Great job Heim Pál hospital

It's been three hours of fun in this zoo with a 2-year-old child. It's not a joke, it's not beyond human age, I know there's money for a stadium, but I can't take my 2-year-old to the doctor. Hurray Hungary. At least those two stars weren't down to the limit. JOKE!

My son and I were in pulmonology for almost a week. I couldn't say anything bad about the place even if I was forced to (well, the armchair bed is uncomfortable... 😉). Everyone was incredibly nice, but in the whole hospital. The doctors, the nurses, but also those who questioned us at the door, the cleaners and the kitchen ladies. By the way, they cook fantastically delicious despite hospital dirt. The doctors are thorough, and I was not disappointed in their expertise. They were flexible, did not accuse, but provided support as needed. I am very grateful to everyone, although every medical institution would be like this!

I have never heard of a hospital calling the parent a few years after surgery to ask how the child is doing. Well, that's what happened to us. A very nice doctor called me to inquire about the child's condition. It's tonsil surgery, so it's not even a "big" surgery. I experienced great attention and professional expertise and humanity. Thank you for everything!!!

Yesterday I had awful experience in the hospital. Dr. Toth Ágnes is either unkind person, or uneducated or angry with foreigners. What is wrong with her, I guess she knows better. Probably she forgets that she receives her salary from high tax which I pay monthly. We were waiting for 6 hours for doctor, for what? just to see the doctor who is not willing to talk with foreigners, who could not speak in English, I talked to her in English and she responded in Hungarian. Is it good here in Hungary, in the capital of European country? The phone number where to call to make an appointment with specific doctor she has provided us is wrong...It was change in 2018, do you think she does not know this?! No comments. Disappointed.

The staff have been very professional and caring to heal our daughter. We are very thankful to all of them

We were examined in the neurology department, I can comment on that part. We met amazingly nice doctors and nurses. Patient admission was also quick. Thanks to the workers here for being able to put aside the difficulties that are obviously present in healthcare. I am thinking here about the quality of the catering, or the cleaning problems...etc. As far as they were concerned, it was flawless. 🫶

March 23, 2024. We are in the waiting room from 4:00 p.m., at 9:20 p.m. we are still here and we do not receive any care. It's a shame that an 8-year-old child was kept waiting like this.
