(Translated by Google) The complex inside the Városliget park, one of the main city parks in Budapest, fascinates the visitor with its eclectic and neo-Gothic style, right from the first glance beyond the pond. Despite being, however, well aware that it is a blatant historical fake made in the first decades of the twentieth century, one is attracted like a magnet inside and one cannot remain immune from its (false) almost grotesque charm! Not to be missed during a walk in the greenery and tranquility of this green lung. @gargio76

Vajdahunyad Castle designed by Ignác Alpár to feature copies of several landmark buildings from different parts of the Kingdom of Hungary, especially the Hunyad Castle in Transylvania. As the castle contains parts of buildings from various time periods, it displays different architectural styles: Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque.

Nice entrance to the castle. Even though it's not as old as it looks, it's a nice photo opportunity and well worth seeing. You can easily take it with you on a tour of the park

It is a small replica of Dracula's Tower in Romania. Close to Heroes' Square and the baths, it's worth a visit, entry is free and it also has a souvenir shop, the anonymous statue and a chapel. Watch the video on my YouTube channel Orthodox Traveler.

First time here and I want to say it’s one of the best parks I’ve ever been to. A beautiful day in October is all you need! Visited the first souvenir shop on the right entering the gate. The people working there are the sweetest! They helped me pick beautiful souvenirs to bring home. I would highly recommend.

A treat for fans of architecture and castles. So many styles in one place, specially combined together as a common history of the Magyar castles, which are now also scattered beyond the administrative borders of Hungary. There is even a tower in Dracula's castle... you have to read the rest

If you want to experience the medieval breeze and take a stroll around a magnificent castle located by the lake, you are in the right place. This castle, located in a very beautiful and large park adjacent to Heroes' Square, is truly beautiful. It is an opportunity not to be missed, especially for those who love historical places and photography.

Another proof that the hungarians know how to welcome you in their history, through the Gatehouse Tower that is imposing as their ancestors.

Be careful, before entering the place, there is a shop where they sell bread, hot wine, chocolate and other things, the seller charged me 4000 HF FOR A HOT WINE, in the centre it is 1400 HF, he has CHEATED me, this IS NOT DONE WITH TOURISTS, I am very upset.

The complex inside the Városliget park, one of the main city parks in Budapest, fascinates the visitor with its eclectic and neo-Gothic style, from the first glance across the pond. Even though we are well aware that this is a clear historical falsehood made in the early decades of the twentieth century, one is drawn into it like a magnet and cannot remain immune to its (false) almost grotesque charm! Not to be missed during a walk in the greenery and tranquility of this green lung.

This whole area from entrance to surrounding area is BEAUTIFUL! If Budapest is a couples trip this is a must stop. Be prepared for lots of pictures as it’s like pieces from different castles to make one massive site. We really enjoyed the architecture and it’s very large to accommodate all the tourists.

(Translated by Google) Captivating impact, after crossing the bridge and the door of the castle you find yourself on the left the chapel in front of a small square is not the usual entrance "inside the walls of the castle" built for defense, it seems more to the main entrance of the castle park complex etc. . but good to start your tour which I highly recommend.

(Translated by Google) If you go to the famous and unpronounceable baths of Széchenyi that are in front of him or the square of the majestic Heroes, you should not miss the Vajdahunyad Castle (in Hungarian, Vajdahunyad Vára) that is located in the City Park. It was built between 1896 and 1908 according to the design of Ignác Alpár. In part, it is a copy of Hunyad Castle, in Transylvania, Romania, although it is also a sample of different architectural styles. Initially it was built in wood and cardboard for the 1896 exhibition, but it was so successful that it was rebuilt using stone and brick. Today, it houses the Museum of Agriculture. It is not worth paying to climb the tower at its entrance, however it is worth visiting it illuminated at night. Next to it is the largest ice rink in Europe, which is always very busy in winter evenings. Next to the castle there is also a beautiful Romanesque church, completely rebuilt, and next to it the mysterious statue of Anonimus, also on the grounds of the castle, is the image of a 12th-century chronicler (probably of King Béla II), and author of the First historical books on the ancient Hungarians, based mostly on legends. He named the Magyar kings of the various tribes centuries after the Magyar country was founded, that is, Hungary.
