You can only visit Sashegy during opening hours and with a guided tour but it's worth it. I've been twice and both guides were very knowledgeable. Also the flora will be different depending on which part of the year you're visiting so I recommend going more than once. A very unique and beautiful place. I enjoyed learning more about the place where I live!

Budapest has several spectacular viewpoints, this is one of them. Maybe not the nicest, but quite unique.

(Translated by Google) In the middle of a concrete city there are a handful of highly protected natural areas. As many equator, so many protected plant species. Lovely tour guides, plenty of sights, pleasant walks. (Original) Betonváros közepén maréknyi fokozottan védett természeti terület. Ahány égtáj,annyiféle védett növényfaj. Kedves túravezetők, bőséges látnivalók,kellemes séta.

Hidden place in Buda site in budapest. If you want escape to concrete jungle. Need pay the entrace 700 huf is approx €2 so not money for you, but big help this place and protect the wildlife. Have small building show which plants and animals found in here, if you want show the short video for you. Want souvenirs if possible buy. Just the main role follow the path, don't disturb the wildlife. The panorama amazing, possible see All budapest and more area. If you like the nature and silence visit this place.

It is an excellent place to look around. There are many special plants and flowers on that hill, it is like an ecological island. There is an earthquake observation station of the Hungarian Academy of Science in the hill.

Interesting and quite slice of nature just near the rushy streets of Buda. Nice place for walking, running, sledging. Pice of living nature with great panorama view from the top. Definitely recommend it for all from 1 to 99 years.

Fantastic view of Budapest, higher point than the Gellért mountain or the castle district. Warm welcome by the employees in modern facilities. Wheelchair friendly and accessible.

(Translated by Google) I visited here for the first time 6-7 years ago. It was a very good experience for me then, with a very interesting guided tour. My partner and I were here in Budapest this weekend, I told him that we should definitely come here, it will be great, so we put it on our schedule for the short time we were in the city. We arrived at 10:30, one of the ladies working there came 25 minutes after us, she already showed great "spirit of life", she couldn't even say hello. We went in at 10, they asked us what we wanted. (The emphasis here was already so interesting). I said we wanted a guided tour. They tried all kinds of ways to dissuade us from guiding the exhibition, in the end I had to say that there was no need to explain, then we wouldn't go to the exhibition. Their behavior was very cheesy, combined with dramatic fanning and sighing (referring to the heat). We waited outside for half an hour and still didn't pass out. We went directly to the opening so that we wouldn't have to go all the way in the hottest part of the day, because we knew that LATER it would be very hot. I would like to add that I worked at the cave dwellings in Egerszalók for years, where I also had to do my work in the hot sun. I honestly guided the exhibition every time a guest came, whether it was raining or the sun was shining. We thank the ladies working there for this "experience". We didn't go up for a joke. (Original) 6-7 éve jártam itt először. Nekem nagyon jó élmény volt akkor, remek érdekes tárlatvezetéssel. Most a hétvégén itt jártunk Budapesten a párommal, mondtam neki, hogy ide mindenképp elkell jönnünk, szuper lesz, úgyhogy a szűk időbe míg a városban voltunk beraktuk a programunkba.

We opted for the guided tour and was delighted with the ability of of the guide to explain in English the different plants, animals and important geological features that make Sashegy a treasure trove for plants and wildlife.

A little too expensive for technically 100sqm of "nature" (grass) and a view you can get similar to from the neighboring hill. Does not worth it i my opinion, can't recommend.

👍👍 A nice forest, with hills and paths to walk around. I've been just at the beginning of spring, so unfortunately it wasn't the greenest, but I'll be back during summer. Also the surroundings are very nice, with a villagy/rural feeling.
