Booked a table online for 2, called them a day prior to confirm that (everything was on point). The next day we arrived ~15 minutes earlier, which wasn't an issue, they did let us start playing. The selection of boardgames is just truly impressive! I guess it's better to plan what you wanna play in advance, because there you can easily get overwhelmed by the choice of games. Food & drink option / quality is nothing to write home about (my espresso was horrid), but we didn't go there to eat or drink, so that wasn't a problem. All in all, we had a great time playing Catan and Pharaoh Code!

Great board games (1000+ pcs). Kind personnel. Prices are ok, service is fast. I would recommend also for English speakers, as a good bunch of English language boardgames are available too.

Lovely place. Table reservation is recommended. You pay an additional "entrance/table fee" per person plus drinks/food if you want and you have three hours to play boardgames. The place is nice, non smoking, very helpful staff, good game selection. Bring cash because AFAIK you can't pay with card.

Great location for a game night with friends and family right in the middle of Budapest. Great location, tons of games in Hungarian, english and german. You can find pretty much what you want also they serve snacks, paninis, drinks and hot beveradges. You might need to book a few days ahead as it can get quite busy in the evening, even more so on friday, satturday and sunday night. Only negativ thing what can be said is the price what is 990FT/person/3 hour session. So if you plan with a larger group or for a longer play it might get expensive. Other then that highly Recommended.

We have been coming to Board Game Café to play board games for a very long time. The staff is really helpful, they have really good prices and you can choose among many kind of board games for beginners and advanced players too.

Super friendly staff and a very nice place to spend some hours. The board games come in different languages (also English and German) and the number of available games is amazing. The food and drinks have good prices. I would come again, bring some friends with me and have a good time in a great and friendly atmosphere.

Lovely place. Good atmosphere. Very friendly and secluded. Great for family and friends with literally every board/card/other game one can think of. Personally, this was the first board game cafe I’ve been to, and it is so far my favorite.

Like any board game cafe, this place is a welcome oasis for a cheerful, convivial, relaxing place to hang out and chat over a game. It’s great for dates, friends, or families. We took our kids here, and we snagged a table without a reservation. They have a well-curated selection of games that includes all the popular ones, plus some really great new ones. There’s hundreds of them, organized neatly by category. They also have a list of English language games, and a whole section of games for younger kids (like, around 4-8 years old). The food is tasty, and they have a really solid beer selection. My kids thought the homemade lemonade was not sweet enough, but what do they know—plus it’s not like they were the ones paying for it. Anyway, make this a stop for a hyggelig evening! P.S. They got showers in the bathroom, I guess in case you work up a sweat rolling dice and shuffling decks.

We come back here to play every month or so. Besides board games, they have beer and nachos which is pretty good. Now 950Ft for every 3 hours started, the cheapest beer (bottled Kozel) 850Ft and 1040Ft for a bowl of nachos. It's important to book a table because on an average Thursday night it's easily full.

(Visitor from the UK) Great selection of board games, even though only about 20% are in English, that's plenty. The only downside is that the games boxes are not labelled on the side as English language or not, so it takes a little while to find suitable ones. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice drinks. Clean toilets. Very affordable, only 4300 florint for two people for three hours, one drink each, about £10 total. The games list is on Board Game Geek, so you can preview which games you want to play, very helpful. There are stairs down, so it may be difficult for wheelchair users and others with walking difficulties. I didn't see any elevators. Definitely recommended if you're in Budapest and want a chill time.

Great place to play board games. It's roughly 1k HUF to get a table for 3 hours of gaming. They have a huge variety of games on labelled shelves. The stuff is kind and helpful. Probably not the best place to dine, but they have grilled sandwiches and snacks if you get hungry. Altogether it's nice, we've already been here a few times. Also there are different programs happening every week, not even once. The raspberry cheesecake is not really cheesecake, check it out before ordering, but the beef fajitas panini is highly recommended! You can order through your phone, no queueing needed.

The people working there are very nice and it isn't expensive. The nacho's were a bit old and not very crunchy. Because there is a lot of echo (no windows), other people talking (and even hearing our own voices bounce off the walls) was distracting. They have a lot of games. Most of them are in Hungarian, so some games, like Terraforming Mars that have a lot of text on the components aren't very playable for non-native speakers like us. They also have a lot of games with no text on the components, like Meadow that are perfectly well to play. All in all a nice place, but can be a bit overwhelming if you are highly sensitive to sound.

Can't really rate the food well as we only had 1 panini, but this is our go to place when we want to play some games. They have a ton. The price to play is well worth it, the drinks and and snacks however are a bit pricey but i wouldn't say it's the worst prices I've seen. Well worth the visit.

A very great place to spend time with friends, they have almost all the possible board games of which you can find lots of English versions as well. Prices are so reasonable and the location is great

Huge amount of games. Busy but not over crowded. Friendly staff. Some games in poor repair, instructions missing, etc. Mango lemonade served with too much fruit & pips in

All the games. Nice selection of beers. The lighting was horrible, I have been in a prison holding cell and the lighting was similar. The vibe was slightly off. The payment model is okay while slightly annoying to be watching the time while playing. Nice people working the desk.

Many table games. Really good place to visit with friends for hours. You can find almost every games. My favorite was monopoly, jenga. You can find several types of cards. It is better to visit a group of friends over 8 person. 🎉

Loads of games around the majority of the tables on shelves, so they're really convenient to reach. Nice food for a reasonable price. 500HUF for every 3 hours of play, totally worth it.

Great little board game place. Fairly good selection of games which could be more varied and there could be more English games with local translation instead of local version only. Space is limited so booking is advised. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Food and drink selection is somewhat limited but hey, you come here for gaming, right? The paninis are perfect as a quick bite.

Huge selection of board games, best in the city. Not so many things on the menu and friendly staff but not taking the extra step for the 5 star.

This place nails the boardgame experience. It has a very wide selection of games, and has plenty of space. The food and drink is very good value and tasty! I recommend the paninis.

There are a lot of games. It is a fine place if you want to play with friends. There were others but is was not loud at all. We just had drinks, they were fine too.

I strongly recommend this place !!! The staff is sooo nice, friendly and helpful ! We didn’t know what to play and one of the game staff brought us many games and explained us the rules! Also, the cappuccino was amazing!! The best I ever had in Budapest !! And I’m not exaggerating. I also had the hot chocolate which was great !! I will definitely go back there !!
