We usually order spicy indian food irrespective of the weather as we like it that way. After discovering their amazing hyderabadi biryani the one of a kind biryani we found here in Budapest we loved it in the first instance. We thought of giving a try to other dishes too and they too turned out to be wonderful experience for us. So a random order made us their regular customers. Luckily they are near to our place in keleti we hop on there frequently. This might be our 20 th biryani and we just love it 😍😋😋

Stopped by Santa's Kitchen for an early dinner in Budapest. The menu had the usual and many new and interesting Indian dishes. We ordered Paneer Do Pyaaza with Tawa Roti. The food took a while to arrive but the taste, quantity and quality was worth the wait. We had requested extra spicy food, which was well customized for the Paneer. The restaurant was mostly busy (even at 6 in the evening) and the overall vibe was of happy customers & great food. Highly recommended ✨Also, Bollywood music in the background is ♥️

Nice and well decorated restaurant, it's feel like home. The food was tasty and authentic compared to other Indian restaurants. Dom Biryani was also delicious we recommended the chicken pakora as a starter which was delicious! There were 2 of us and we didn't have a reservation, although I recommend you make a reservation if you are a large group and plan to go during peak hours. Highly recommended for desi food lovers. The owner Santa was very kind to us and very friendly. She served only freshly prepared food and no food coloring. Which we really liked to hear. We should support small businesses and help them grow. 👌

Truly amazing food, perfectly kind service, very nice owner. This place well deserves its rating. 5* We had tadka dal, different kulchas, chicken jalfrezy and one traditional chicken curry. They have fenomenal home made samosa! We also could select from spiciness level by pre-tasting, which was a very nice touch. Additionally the server has asked if any of us has any food allergy... awesomely done. Highly recommended.

We had a great dinner! We ordered the chilli honey french fries, Butter chicken, Chicken masala, Mango Lassi with two garlic naans. Everything was extremely delicious and authentic. It was my first time trying the mango lassi and OMG it was amazing 😍

Delicious, mouthwatering, fresh and authentic Indian food, serving a variety of dietary needs. We were so glad to have discovered this gem of a restaurant in our final week in Budapest. Santa's is a small and cozy restaurant, low on decor and razzmatazz but high on taste and generous servings. Our waitron Prathik was attentive and intent on providing great service. Santa ensured we were happy with our meals and checked up on us regularly. From our soup starters to mains, we were left full and satisfied. Their curries are incredibly fresh, flavourful and delicious. Their fried rice was substantial. But best of all is their naan bread, filled with paneer and garlic and made with oodles of butter. Their menu is fairly large with a range of vegetarian and meat dishes to choose from, whether you're up for vegan, vegetarian, chicken, lamb or seafood. Santa's is a licensed restaurant with a great selection of beers, wines and spirits. Much to love about this little gem.

Me and a group of friends ate here while on vacation. The place itself was very cozy and the waitress was very polite and kind. Even asked us multiple times if the food was good which it definitely was! For those who are afraid they may not be able to handle the spice level, they also asked us how spicy we wanted our food which was really helpful so no need to worry. However do make clear you can actually handle spicy food if you want something to be hot and you may not look like you can handle it. They also had plenty of vegetarian dishes! Overall a great experience and highly recommend.

We went to Santa’s Kitchen this evening. I had a Chicken Madras. It was the most amazing Indian dish I’ve ever had. The care of freshly grinding, blending and toasting the spices made my tastebuds snap crackle and pop before enveloping me in a warm comfortable state of heaven. This is not overstating it at all! Good food takes a while to prepare but…..oh yes it’s worth it. The whole family loved it and the mango lassi had fresh cardamom on top which was a nice touch. Thank you and see you soon 😀😀😀

My friend and I were looking for a good indian restaurant. Yesterday, we just found out this one and honestly, we really enjoyed the food there. As appetizers, we took samousa which was very big but quite tasty. Then, my friend took Chicken masala which was delicious, she really loved it, and wasn't too spicy!! Instead, I took the butter chicken which was delicious too, the taste was amazing, I was in love... Actually, in general I really love butter chicken, and this one was really good! The naaan was really appetizing! Then, we were looking for something to drink, and the woman suggested as " Mango Lessi" which was really fresh and flavourful! The service was really outstanding, the woman who served us was really nice and cute with us. We really enjoyed the food there and we will probably come back soon! And maybe we will try the Bryani 😋 Thank you 🌻

We visited this place in December 2023, and it didn't disappoint! If you're looking for an alternative to burgers and fries, this is the place to go! It's really easy to find, on the bus route, and delicious food! We had a Chicken Biriyani, Chicken Tikla Masala, Garlic Naan and Yellow Rice and every dish was so nice!

Went there based on the reviews and it was way better than our expectations. The owners of the place are really friendly, the food was more than enough and it was tasty. We tried two soups, chicken curry, chicken masala and a lamb dish. All of them were high quality and delicious.

First time in my life had Indian food, but that too outside India, here in Budapest. Really happy with the taste and fulfilled my dream of having Indian food. I tried the egg fried rice and mango lassi.

Food was very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was a bit pricey but like any other restaurant in the area. Tomato soup was one of the bests I’ve ever tried. Real flavour. Around 2-4K per person. Definitely if you’re into Indian food, it’s a place to try!

As an Indian living in Budapest, I have dined at several Indian restaurants in the city. My recent experience at Santa's Kitchen was truly great. The taste of their dishes - palak paneer curry (must try) with naan and the hyderabadi chicken dum biryani tasted truly authentic. Moreover, the staff at the restaurant were kind and attentive, making sure everything was to our liking. I appreciate that they offered options to customize the spice levels, catering to different preferences, and even accommodated lactose intolerance with suitable dish choices. I highly recommend trying their food for a delightful experience.

I have tried a lot of Indian dishes in Budapest and UK. But this time I found this place, and ordered Special Hyderabad Chicken dum biryani, mango lassi and gulab jamun. The best Indian taste I have never tasted and really enjoyed. I think I will never forget this taste and really got addicted. I can say, one must try this place in Budapest. Thank you very much Santa’s kitchen for such a delicious food.

This place was highlight of our trip in Budapest. We were there twice, for the first time we got Butter chicken with naan, which was the best dish of our lives, and Mango lassi, which we've tried it for the first time ever and were surprised, how good it was. For the second time here we tried Chicken korma and Mango chicken, and both dishes were incredibly delicious. The service was fast and our waitress was really nice and helpful, she even asked us if we have lactose intolerantion. That was very mindful of her. I really recomend this place for its incredible dishes with lots of spices and specific flavor. It is possible to pay by a card here.

We have had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant, the chicken tikka masala was wonderful. I have asked it very spicy, and the waitress said only for my own responsibility, in case it would make me cry. It was very pleasantly spicy, definitely one of the best indian I ever ate. The mango lassi is thick and very tasty, not too sweet. We had to wait a bit for our food, don’t expect a fast food experience. Definitely coming back!🌟

If you want to try some good Indian food while staying in Budapest this restaurant should be on the list. Highly recommend the chicken vindaloo. The service was amazing and so was the food. Price to portion ratio was on point as well. Only thing to point out was that the food wasn't as spicy as expected. But that might be a personal preference 😁

Excellent Indian food. Everything was made fresh and was full of delicious flavor. We got the butter chicken and the chicken biryani. I also got the lemon coriander soup, which I adored. Do be warned that good food takes time. We got there during a rush, took the last seats available in a full house at dinner time. The food took a while, but the front of house staff was aware and apologized and checked on us a few times while we waited. After the rest of the restaurant cleared out, two others came in while we were eating and they got their food quite promptly. So do make the trip here, but come with some patience. The food deserves it.

Food was good for the price, but overall could be some improvements in the atmosphere and service. Tomato soup was nice, as was the paneer tikka masala albeit a bit tangy. Garlic naan was not tandoor made but nice none the less.

Very good korma, just the portion was a bit smaller than expected. Mango Lassi is fantastic. Average price. Very kind staff.

Only one table before our order, getting two curry took almost 50mins. Overall too slow service, its small restaurant but every table got their food at least 30-40mins after their order, it felt too slow, food was okay and a bit too salty. If you ask them dairy free curry, they just said they will offer lactose free milk curry. Lactose free milk is also dairy, I tried to explain I don’t want lactose free milk, but communication with clerk wasn’t smoothly going to understand what is ‘dairy free’ so I just accepted lactose-free milk.

Went here based on the number of good reviews. Had palak (spinach) chicken with plain basmati rice. The presentation and amount of food was adequate. The rice was nice and fluffy. However, the chicken was dry and not that tender. Chicken breast meat was used. For me, dark meat is preferred because it’s moist, tender, and flavorful unlike breast meat. The overall flavor was just ok.

You can get perfect authentic Hyderabadi chicken biryani here in Santa's Kitchen. I would say right amount spices for native people too. I highly recommend this place for Biryani.
