great place, great atmosphere, waitstaff truly friendly The food is not only delicious, it's also unique and unforgettable. Even though the place is not near downtown area, I think it's worth the trip. The restaurant is at the bank of the Danube, which will only add to an amazing experience

We have been traveling in Hungary for almost a week but it was still the best meal/service we had so far. The prices are very wallet-friendly as well. 5* service with 5* food. We got there 45 minutes before closing wearing very simple clothes as we just landed at the airport an hour prior and wanted to get a quick meal in. We have never heard of this place but our Airbnb host recommended it. The staff was super welcoming and nice + I tasted flavor combinations I have never tasted before :) Highly recommended!

We visited with my family and had a wonderful time there. The place is beautiful on a gorgeous location, beside the Danube. The service is professional and friendly. You can find the most creative, modern take on traditional dishes not to mention it was soooo delicious. You are not rushed to finish the meal, you have time to enjoy it. It is a perfect place if you are looking for something special. And personally I love the little crow design on everything! :) (even bought their mug, it is my new favourite) Thank you Vak Varjú team for a wonderful evening!

Recommended, We were there when Restrictions were in effect due to Covid, so the place was quiet and friendly, as you can see on the photos. We asked for a take-away, which we had to wait for a great while, I really did not appreciate that especially because it was cold and we ended up buying hot drinks as well, but the food itself was well worth the wait. I cannot wait to visit again without freezing to death... ... and because of the quality of the food, the place is Recommended.

Perfect place to celebrate a birthday with your family. The customer service was very nice and food was delicious. Great wine and palinka selection. Highly recommend it!

It's not my first visit here. The meals are more complex, the taste is balanced. Homemade lemonades, very good desserts. Easy parking. I would recommend this restaurant.

Just average Hungarian cousin, nothing special to it but the waiter was quite nice, we only got main course as the chef didn't wanted to stay 30min more to cook as starter or give as a dessert.we was dissapointed for this but is them politics so we won't be back.

I have dined in this place 2 times. 1st time i got Harcsa paprikas, got food poisoning, vomited the next day. Second time got the Hekk, fish was over fried and tasted burnt, could have been also re-heated, but i cannot say. I can not recommend this place for fish dishes Spaghetti for the kid was good, can't ruin a spaghetti, fortunately, we also had schnitzel which was tasty!

Amazing place! The food was served really fast. In less than five minutes after placing our order, we were pleasantly surprised to receive the first part of our meal. The waiter was really kind and friendly. Food was 10/10.

I like the place, well designed, on the riverside. The staff is kind, funny and helpfull, the food is non traditional, but good portions and tastes great. Price is a little bit higher than places around, but well worh it. I definietly recommend the place

It is very nice place for family dinner as it has play corner for the kids. We like coming here as it is spacious and can have kids and adult menu as well. The staff is great and friendly. T The quality of the food has decreased a bit since the last time we were here. I hope the staff will work on this. However, the desserts were 10 out of 10. The radio music and then the piano play is very loud. It is not necessary. Nevertheless, it is still a great restaurant with a great location. Highly recommended.

We stopped for the dessert and coffee only. We love the restaurant. It is beautiful restaurant with lovely view and kind people working in it. Unfortunately only chocolate souffle was to die for. Túrógombóc had no taste. Pisztáciás málnadesszer was just ok - a bit dry pistachio added to the dessert.

It was a late lunch with friends. Service was decent, more on the positive side than the average. Food was great for value. It delivered what we hoped for, but don't expect a life long memory. It's very well decorated and stylish restaurant with proper food and drinks menu. Affordable and reliable. Nothing more or less.

The place is nice and full of green. The menu is in line with this kind of chain (more than one in Budapest). Waiters bipolars. Kitchen with evident problems. We eat and we both had serious problem to diagest.

It would have got 4 stars but the service was extremely slow - although the place was relatively busy, it was not packed. Some of the staff were very wooden and unpersonable - others were up to standard. Prices are quite high but food, when it eventually arrived, was delicious.

Good food, nice location near to the river. Family friendly with a children corner. You can enjoy nature and have a good look at the river and boats passing by. Inside area is also cozy with a live piano music!

It's not the easiest VakVarjú to get to, but definitely stylish and worth the extra effort. Food is great, and as always. It sits just on the bank of River Danube with gorgeous surroundings.

The place is great, the foid is delicious, THE WAITERS ARENARSEHOLES. Don't go. They will ignore you for a whilw and be rude.
