I surely give this restaurant a 5! It is the best falafil and hummus in Budapest so far. The food there is 100% vegan with a fresh taste and nice Lebanese presentation. I recommend the bowls as they are the best if you want to be full, unless you came for bites only! The guys working there, Jad and Mohammed, are super nice and friendly. Prices aren't cheap but its value for money.

The falafel was absolutely incredible. All of the food was so fresh and flavorful. This was probably my favorite falafel bowl I’ve ever eaten. The staff was so so friendly, as well. Highly recommend for wonderful, healthy vegan food in Budapest.

Had an order of the falafel tacos and a bottle of the most delicious acerola ginger kombucha and would 100% go there and eat that again. The guy serving me was also very nice & friendly, and the food came out super quick. The food is decent. Nothing special. The staff is attentive, quick and friendly. Good spot for a quick bite. It is quite expensive though. 2200 ft or 6 € for a simple falafel sandwich is too much. Especially in Budapest. What I also didn’t understand was the pile of plain iceberg salad on our plates that you don’t eat and just throw away.

I thought I liked falafel and salad until I tried the falafel bowl. It looks big with a variety of fresh veggies, but the taste is just.. raw -- like the radish is bitter/spicy and in my opinion inedible. The pickled peppers and beets also have an extremely mild taste like they haven't been pickled fully? And the falafel balls are more moist/runny than I'm used to; they're seasoned but the flavor was.. not worth eating, and I have not thought this about any other falafel I have ever tried. This was the BEST restaurant for us in Budapest. The meals they prepare are so fresh. All food looked enticing and tasted delicious. If you love hummus & falafel and fresh food, you should definitely visit Tahina bite! I basically love everything they have on the menu, but my all time fav is green falafel wrap, im getting it every time I visit the place:) The only “downside” is the interior of the spot, I find the place too dark and out dated but thats just my preference. I prefer to take the order “to go” and eat it outside. Otherwise everything is always beyond perfect, friendly staff & great food, highly recommend!

Got the 'build-a-bowl' option. The portion was huge and the food is delicious. I'm actually writing this mid-meal to prevent myself from inhaling the other half of my food too fast. Very much worth a visit if you're looking for good vegan food in Budapest. ✨️

Good quality hummus should be light and airy. Very good typical Lebanese hummus should also have a tea spoon of goat yoghurt (لبن معز رائب) used in making each hummus plate to achieve a silky and delicious result. Goat yoghurt/curd is common and not expensive in Hungary but it is not vegan so I guess it won't happen. The hummus at Tahina Bite is in texture more akin to a cement lump. The pita bread was toasted and very dry. They toast it because it is not fresh. To enhance the flavour they sprinkled powdered paprika on top which is not a bad idea but my taste buds detected some sweet (mango?) yellowish sauce they probably use in their falafel wraps and totally doesn't belong there. The cauliflower wrap (for some reason they call it a sandwich) was ok (it even had a single mint leaf) but to justify the price tag (equivalent to 5.15 Euros) I would prefer if it also had some sliced fried garlic، coriander and nutmeg which were all sadly missing. The wrap lay on a bed of plain lettuce which is totally unnecessary (much better to make a small lettuce salad with a lemon, mustard, zaatar and sumac sauce people would actually eat). The vegan coleslaw had very fresh and crunchy white cabbage which was great but there must have been an accident in the kitchen with at least 60 grams of white sugar falling into the bowl (I never tasted such sickly sweet salad in my life). As my profile name suggests I am Syrian and I know a thing or two about our regional cuisine. I warmly recommend the three guys set aside a couple of hours on their next visit to Lebanon to ask their mothers and grandmothers how the items listed on their menu should be prepared.
