Interesting place. I've never visited a thermal bath before. Lots of pools. Lots of people. Clean. And they had a good bar. Worth a visit. It's very busy, not something I consider to be relaxing because all the people coming in and out of pools.

We almost didn’t come here because it was getting close to the closing time. BUT, we’re so glad we did because it was a great way to unwind after a few days of intense waking from city to city. Be sure to check the website for times and prices. Lower prices on weekdays and certain hours. Locker bracelet to lock and unlock is provided when renting a locker. Definitely bring flip flops and towels or you can rent them but it seemed pretty over priced for us. Hair dryers are available in the locker rooms as well as showers. They ask people to leave the pools 15 minutes before closing time which is just enough time to change and freshen up. There are also options for massages and medical spa if you choose. We paid for entrance when we got there so you don’t have to do it online. They also take card. Overall it was a great experience. The temperature in the outdoor pools were just right even when the air temperature was a bit chilly. It didn’t smell sulphuric but it was a bit humid in the indoor pools. The space in the locker rooms and the pools were clean and convenient. My husband and I loved our experience and we would totally do it again if we find ourselves back in Budapest.

Bring your own slippers (mandatory) because they only sell small size and small size called large. Their towels are also sold (no rented) but not worth nearly half the cost: $26 for the cheapest towel and slippers! On the other hand, the lockers are easy to use with wrist band sensors acting as keys, safe and secure. The pools and saunas are THE BEST EVER. I love the warm water jets spring up through numerous locations, the whirlpool effect in the circulars pattern, and the fountains pouring jests of streaming massaging water into the warm soothing bath water pools. I planned to stay two hours and ended up staying five hours.

It’s nice but pools are not very hot at all - at least not later in the day when I went. I went after 6 for discounted ticket and because I thought sunset time would be a nice view. Lots of teens, and I guess I knew it closed at 8 but there’s not enough showers and dryers available for all the masses to get cleaned up in time but they will still stop you from showering and yell “lady go home” 🤣🥴 if you’re not out the door at 8 exactly. Was expecting a bit more seeing as this is the “most popular” of the baths. But still nice different experience in the city.

Hungary's famous thermal bath house. They have indoor and outdoor thermal pools, steam rooms, salt rooms and saunas. You can also get a private massage. They offer various different entry options , you can have your own private room, a small cabin or just a locker. You should visit their website and pick the one that suits you the best. You can bring your own towels or rent one from there. Once you are in you have the full access to the bath house and you can use all the facilities. There is also an outdoor swimming pool where you can do laps, but you must wear a swimming cap to enter the pool.

What an amazing experience. It was magical. I recommend you go early and queue, not only will you save money not booking online but its also quieter. It does get very very busy. We rented 1 kabana and changed and kept our belongings safely locked in there. There are so many pools but the outdoor ones are in my opinion the best. Some are very hot and some are cooler. There is also a cold plunge pool which is fun. We didn't use the sauna or steam but they are available to use. If you want to swim in the lanes, you will need a swimming hat. We found it very clean and tidy and the staff helpful.

You can pass all the day there for less than 13 euros ! Don't buy an online ticket you'll be scammed ( 22euros ) , they accept only cards inside and the conversion is fair ! It' a magical place !

One of the best places in the world and the largest outdoor spa in the world. Definitely a must visit place if you visit Budapest. The vibes here are completely different. From entry till the lockers the whole process is quite simple. The changing rooms are normally busy and the place is packed most of the times. They also run night parties as well which we missed but definitely will give it a try next time 😍

Wow…this was amazing. Go on a weekday and early morning if you can. The service and help from these lovely people is just incredible. We purchased the tickets online and paid extra for a changing cabin, beautiful and clean and secure, you enter through the VIP side if you order online! Wow the decor is amazing. So many different spa’s to try, managed to get a sun bed because we got there for about 10am and stayed for 3 hours. Could do with a coat of paint here and there and general maintenance work, but a fascinating place to be in and seeing the locals play chess etc in the facilities and using the different pools, from extreme cold to extreme hot. The lazy river was so quick, great fun. Plenty of life guards and they all seem to be on the ball!

Absolutely amazing experience! The whole place is magical from the architecture of the buildings to the experience itself. The outdoor thermal baths felt amazing and soothing, even on a hot day. The prices are reasonable. There is a well stocked store with towels, slippers etc to purchase in case you forget something. I highly recommend getting a cabin so you can change without having to do it in a bathroom stall. The staff was very helpful and everyone spoke English. This is an absolute MUST while visiting Budapest!!!!

It's a lovely place to visit, It has three different pools with different temperatures: a warm pool with a whirlpool, a hot swimming pool, and a super hot pool for relaxation. The ticket cost is decent. There was a long queue at the entrance and in the shop to purchase slippers. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, as well as a towel and slippers. The slipper was expensive, and there were only two sizes: small and large. Bring your ID and present it to them on your phone because they have followed the Covid protocols. It was really crowded, and you had to wait for a change of clothes and a chance to dry your hair. Staff were restless, but that's to be anticipated in such a high-pressure situation. Food and drinks can be purchased on the premises, however they cannot be brought into the pool. There is a bus stop at the Spa. It was worth it

So the place is incredible, there is a swimming pool (you need a swimming cap), a normal pool and a thermal pool (38° C) outside. Inside is full of swimming and thermal pool. There are also a sauna and aroma sauna. The experience is nice, from 10 am the place starts to get crowdy. If you want to be peaceful I suggest you the "Good Morning Budapest" (full day but you have to enter before 9 am), I entered at 7 am and it was really nice. You need a swimsuit, towel and flip-flop, otherwise you can rent there. The place is nice but as other said, it can improved with a bit of maintenance.

Honestly I had so many doubts because of the mixed reviews but it's totally worth the visit. You have 16 pools to go through inside the building and the big outdoor swimming pools. Considering the amount of people that visits this place daily it's pretty clean. Definitely take a towel and flip flops otherwise you'll pay a lot of money for the rental. The rest is totally worth it.

Huge baths house with both indoor and outdoor pools. I recommend going around inside and trying the saunas and the different pools until you find your favorite. We arrived at 09.00 and there was no queue. Everyone gets an armband which can be used at a locker of your choice for your belongings. If you are in Budapest a few days this a must visit. Note that the entrance for the non fast pass tickets are at the cirkus and not the entrance which Google maps points you to.

It was a good experience. Before going to the thermal bath I was reading reviews. A lot of people are talking about bad water, smell and hair. But we went at 9 am. For us everything was good. We bought a ticket directly from the machine. No bookings were made in advance. The water was clean and no hair in the water. A lot of people were there but not that busy outdoor pool. The outdoor pool water temperature was good. We were not feeling cold. The indoor pool was fine only. We liked the outdoor pool a lot. The sauna was very good. Overall our experience was good and everyone should try one time at least.

I wouldn't even rate it 2 stars, though the outdoor area was pleasant despite the crowds. The place is both overrated and overpriced, especially considering the cramped saunas and the peculiar odor in the indoor pools. The staff's behavior was unacceptable; it took three attempts to address my locker issue in the public area, which turned out to be a private locker. The staff displayed arrogance throughout the 40-minute ordeal, and we observed others struggling to locate towels or receive guidance on the facilities. Furthermore, they charge for slippers and towels, prompting the recommendation to bring your own to avoid additional costs. We chose a package that included these items and access to the lounge, though the lounge itself was okay. Central Europe maintains significantly higher hygiene standards, highlighting the need for renovations and stricter rules here.

A place to relax after nights of heavy partying and drinking. The various temperature level of different pools gives you all types of body relaxing water therapy. The Sauna is also good for the whole body and in the end the Spa. Not only the normal aromatic spa but the most special one "THE BEER SPA" here you can spend some peaceful hours lying in the tub of beer and drink the unlimited supply of beers from the Taps mounted right next to your tub. Definitely recommend to visit this place if you are in Budapest

Fun for families with its whirlpools and splash. Pool party ready Saturday nights and phones galore carried by brave tourists who wants to capture the once grand atmosphere. The classic bath is home to impressive architecture and old shower heads. The thermal baths are nice, but could use renovation.

We went on a Wednesday evening to this thermal bath. It was fairly busy but not too crowded. The water was a good warm temperature, not too hot and felt really good in winter! I recommend going to this thermal bath if you are visiting Budapest. We booked a girls locker room ticket via the official website and it was around ~£37 each. There are inside and outside pools. You will need to take slippers and towels with you.

I would recommend you going there very early in the morning, I was there on a Saturday morning by 8:30 am and there where few people, I could get all the pictures and video I wanted without having tons of people around me. By 10 am it was already crowded. The outdoor pool is very beautiful and gives good atmosphere, I didn’t really enjoy the indoors, where (of course) you can actually smell the thermal water smell being a closed space, but it really depends on what you are looking for. I went early so I had no problem getting in very quick, and I would recommend the private changing room as it only costs 3 euros more. PS: remember to take off your silver jewelry!

This is a great place to visit in Budapest, a must see if you will. The building itself is really pretty to look at and it's relatively inexpensive to visit. Obviously you can go for the more expensive packages but the base level is quite a good price. You can buy everything you need there if you forgot anything. Remember to bring your flip flops as it's mandatory! There is a good selection of baths, both outside and inside with a range of temperatures and mineral content. There is also a steam room tucked away as well as a sauna and plunge pool, also tucked away. I love the sauna as it's hotter then the ones we normally get in the UK. Which makes going in the plunge pool way more satisfying. I would also recommend getting a massage here as it's at a low price point and is quite good. I would recommend coming here, I've already come back twice!

The outside baths are so enjoyable! Perfectly warm waters, a gorgeous setting, and people everywhere, but it's part of the experience. I bought the ticket with private changing cabin. It was nice to lock everything away and just have my towel, sandals, and phone (at times) with me. I wish I could have stayed longer. I recommend a half day to visit and enjoy all pools inside and out.

During our visit, there were quite a lot visitors, even though it was a Tuesday. However, overall we had a good experience. The best were the outdoor pools, which were pleasantly warm. Perhaps the only negative I consider is that some hair dryers did not work. The women's changing rooms could also be cleaner.

We spent an afternoon in these baths - absolutely spectacular. Amazing hot water pools at a variety of temperatures; and the saunas/steam rooms were fantastic. Only drawbacks were the long queue and higher than normal holiday pricing. Despite that, would go again in a heartbeat!

Top three experiences I’ve had on holiday in Budapest. Make sure you visit the thermal bath. The water is about 77° year-round. It is absolutely amazing and I’ve never had experience anything like it. Make sure to spend some time under the pressure stream. it’s like a therapeutic massage.

I got there around 11am and it was already packed to the brim, even though it was a huge complex with lots of different pools and temperatures to choose from. Amazing architecture, lovely to spend a whole day here just sitting around and enjoying the view too. Options for massages and other spas were nice too. Must-visit for everyone! And I would highly recommend that you buy your tickets in advance to avoid wasting time queuing.

A must do in Budapest, get there early for the full value of a full day because you could spend a whole day here. The architecture and surroundings outside are stunning and it is lovely but busy in a sunny day. The interior saunas and baths are well worth wandering round and you will find the one for you! You could spend hours in some of them. Food is fine, not too expensive but more than most places. And prepare to get shouted at in the changing area for no apparent reason.

Excellent experience - highly recommend visiting. Definitely book fast access and a private cabin is nice (video uploaded on how to unlock outside with yellow wristwatch and lock inside). Metro station is very close by and a short walk. **you cannot hire a towel, not is it included in your ticket** so make sure you bring your own and flip flops!!! You require a cap to go lane swimming also. Signage is to the “lending room” rather than shop - you can pay cash or card (price list photo uploaded) Lots of the pools are different temperatures, saunas also and two plunge pools (20 degrees and 26 degrees). There is, however, lots of tiling missing in various places and some areas closed off but seem to be doing renovations. Really enjoyed despite the rain!

This place is beautiful, the baths are amazing. Lots of space and different pools to try. However, it isn't cheap and you do have to bring your own towels and fip flops (you can buy a towel, but not rent, which seems a bit odd as the place is only full of tourists and who brings a towel on holiday?!) Definitely come early, by 10am it's packed.

Very nice SPA with a lot of different pools inside with different temperatures. Also a lot of different saunas inside. Some pools and saunas were under reconstruction but it was still enough of pools and saunas to be there for a full day. Nice with three different pools outdoors as well and a lot of sunbeds. I would recommend you to be here early in the morning to avoid the crowd. Downside was that the pools felt a bit dirty due to all the people. But still worth a visit. Please note that you need to bring your own towel and slippers otherwise you need to buy them.

I went first thing in the morning, and it was nice and quiet. I just did the basic package, the morning special rate, but you can stay for a long time. I brought my own towel and slippers. But, you can rent private cabins and any items that you may need. I'm glad I'm here during the winter, because the hot water felt amazing. You can use the indoor and outdoor pools, steam rooms, and sauna. If you want to use the lap pool, bring a swim cap or buy one there. It was a great experience!

Get there early if you want to enjoy all the activities the Bath house has to offer. We unfortunately did not get there early enough to get a private room and massage treatments (Arrived at noon on a Saturday). The baths were very crowded and did not seem to practice too much safety with Covid (no mask and definitely zero social distancing). When getting tickets at one window the staff member did not answer questions and was rude; went to the other window across the way and was treated much better. Great place for locals but for tourists I would recommend one of the MANY other Baths around!

Pretty cool! It’s a bunch of different large pools really. I thought the whirlpool was fun, albeit a little rowdy and crowded. And the outdoor heated pool was my favourite. The indoor pools are too echoey for my liking but they’re nice too. Doing the plunge pools 5 or 6 times between hot and cold was nice. I was under the impression that the saunas cost extra and were only on Sundays but I think there are just Sunday “sauna sessions” (whatever that means). I went on a Tuesday and the saunas were very much open! There was a light sauna and an aroma sauna inside with the indoor thermal pools and then two separate sauna houses outside. Make sure you do them safely though A little unhygienic as people aren’t rinsing off or showering with soap in between the different pools!! Very old and lots of maintenance work being done. But an enjoyable experience for your time Budapest, I look forward to returning and trying out the other thermal baths! It’s also nice to see and talk to people from all over the world! People say to pay extra for the cabin … BUT I say the locker room is just fine with showers and a toilets. Well worth the price. (: 👌🏽 3.5-4/5 just wish it was a bit cleaner

This place is amazing! A must visit whilst in Budapest. Get there early if you want to beat the peak time and have a nice spot outside. Got quite busy from 11:30-12pm but you will always find a pool to sit in. Very relaxing. Paid 8100ft for a lockable cabin/changing area. It was worth the extra 900ft compared to locker price

Hear me out. Great authentic thermal spa experience, BUT you have to come early, before 10 am. It gets crazy busy, the hoard of people is insane, pools feel like human soup at some point. Overall great spa experience during a rainy day, very good sauna at a lower level, with a cold plunge pool (10-12C). I would say the main outside hot pool is great, and couple hot baths at the back, the rest are meh. If you get there early, experience should be pleasant.

My tips for visiting: 1. Come early in the morning. Tickets are for the whole day and the earlier you arrive, the more time you can spend here. 2. Buy tickets with your own locker room. It is very comfortable and there is enough space for changing clothes. 3. Be sure to try swimming in the indoor pools. Each pool has its own healing properties. You can read about these properties on the signs next to the pool. Or even read about healing properties and how to use them before you come.

Perfect place to relax. Try to come early so you can get a nice place to sit and don’t wait in line. There are changing cabins for free outside. So you don’t need to purchase that if you don’t want. Inside is as awesome as outside. So try all pools. If you have long hair, bring scrunchies.

And most Of all the man who was working the door from the changing area to the main pools outside on Wed Jan 31 at 9am was just the nicest man!!! It is possibly one of the best natural hot springs in Budapest. It consists of 3 pools of different temperatures: one warm with a whirlpool, another hotter for swimming and the last one very hot for full relaxation. I recommend reserving a booth, as this place is very busy and the changing rooms are full of people and the floor is full of water. You can see the crowd in the photo that I go up on a Sunday at 4 in the afternoon.

Its kinda weird and dirty. It was super busy and I expected it to be quiet as it was peek covid and freezing. Definitely take flip-flops and more than 1 towel. Staff are rude and not helpful, nothing is in English. Lots of couples up to all sorts in the pool. The water is naturally hot and pumped into a swimming pool. I was expecting something more natural to be honest, hence the disappointment.

It is a beautiful historical bath. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Budapest. 2 big warm pools outside plus a swimming one in the middle. And 16 is pools inside. It is a shame that they are letting this beautiful spa rot. I went there last like 20years ago and then again recently. Nothing has changed. This place is desperate for refurbishment! Oh and be prepared if you don’t go early the poolside loungers are all reserved with slippers by the lovely tourists who have absolutely no intention in using them but reserve every single lounger just in case… don’t be that tourist… such an awful habit… there are always plenty loungers available!

It’s a nice thermal bath in Budapest, but I think it’s a bit expensive (25€ the entry). Indeed, few baths weren’t working for our visit and I think for this price it’s not really nice, as you can find bath cheaper and with better accommodations. Overall, it’s quite beautiful and I advise you to come while it’s sunny, if not I would recommend to visit another bath. Note that if you don’t want to pay an extra, you will need to change front of other people of you gender. And buy tickets online !

Decent thermal bath but was surprised that water wasn't warmer. We did the private room which was nice as had own shower. The massage wasn't worth it at all as felt like they didn't know what they were doing and was no pressure. The room comes with champagne , towels etc so that seemed worth it. The beer bath was closed unfortunately and wanted to try that. The steam rooms get busy and not big enough or enough of them. Overall way too many people and not as relaxing or fancy as expecting.

We spent about 4 to 5 hours here and we all had a great time. There were plenty of different pools and baths inside and out. Around the pools, there were a couple of bars to get a drink from. You can choose from soft drinks to alcoholic ones at reasonable prices. We paid to have a private changing booth with a lock on. We got there early in the morning and managed to get 4 sun lounges together in a shaded area, which was good as the temperature got over 31 degrees .

Very fortunate that I got about 2 hour of sun to enjoy the bath in the morning. The sun brings about a nice blue glow to the pool and makes the building appear gorgeous. At time of visit one of the outer pool was under renovation. Morning was not busy and you get a decent discount.

At the end of the 19th century, a source of warm mineral water with unique medicinal properties was discovered here, and already at the very beginning of the 20th century magnificent buildings in the neo-baroque style, thermal and swimming pools were created here. Even if you are not going to go to the baths (although it would be a mistake) go to the hall and admire it. After purchasing your ticket, you go to the dressing room. We took one for two. Bring a shower cap with you, as in the outdoor swimming pool they were forced to wear them, although in all other pools it was not needed. On the territory of a dozen baths, with different concentrations of salts, sulfur, there are hot, cold, warm, saunas with different temperatures, massage jets, buckets of cold water and an ice bath (my favorite). Water is taken from a depth of 1256 m at a temperature of 77 ° C. Above each of the baths, there is a recommendation on the possible length of stay there, and in the halls with pools - containers with foot sanitization liquid, which operate from a foot pedal. And all this in the chic royal interiors, in marble with stucco and painting. That's very beautiful! But repairs won't hurt anymore. You can't drink your own alcohol, you can buy beer, which is sold near the pools. This is being watched very closely. I recommend getting there early so that there are fewer people. Towels, slippers, etc. took with them. д. брали с собой.

The thermal baths are huge and have a great history. Three outdoor pools, one of which is a swimming pool, where a swimming cap is required. A large number of smaller indoor pools. Different water temperatures in different pools. Few people in the weekdays, so sunbeds available. Refreshments are available inside the complex but you can only pay cashless with a credit card or wristband. However, the whole area is very outdated and in dire need of renovation. When we first came to the baths, I felt like I was in a historical movie. Extremely old equipment, peeling plaster.

The place is big and arhitectural nice. We visited it on a Thursday and it started to become crowded after 11 am, but still could find free space in the pools. Unfortunate event was that 1 of our towels and face mask was stolen from the outside pool and was not returned until we left 2h later. Aroma massage is also relaxing.

We were initially concerned that the baths would be too hot for summer, but they keep the outdoor pools at perfect body temperature! There are plenty of pools to dip into and the massages are worth booking ahead of time for extra relaxation.

The most beautiful thermal baths in Europe? I am inclined to say yes, exactly. A very nice solution is that the tickets are all-day. It doesn't matter how long you stay at the thermal baths, you pay one price. All pools open, inside and out clean. We bought tickets with private cabins - I recommend choosing this option. We then have a private changing room that is electrically locked. The thermal baths are beautifully situated in a park, around a lot of monuments and restaurants. In the vicinity of the zoo, close to the metro and easy access to the Danube. A cap is required only in the sports track at the swimming pool.

Nice thermal bath, one of the largest in Budapest. Many pools with different temperatures to choose from and also has sauna and steam rooms. Lockers are included in the entrance ticket price. Bring slippers and own towel. (You can also rent). I highly recommend visiting this place - it was really fun and relaxing.

We rented a private spa room (room and check in area are in the pictures) on our last day in Budapest. It was totally worth it to have our own little room and shower to use before heading out on the train to Vienna in the afternoon. We weren't overly impressed by the indoor pools but thought the outdoor ones were worth seeing on a beautiful day.

The pools can get busy but you can always go to another pool, loads to choose from. Had a nice relaxing time there, would go back again if I go to Budapest again. Food is slightly high in price and not a lot to choose from. Lucky I took my own towel and flip flops.

If you're in Budapest, you should visit their Thermal bath. It's a thing, and I understand why! Széchenyi Thermal bath is one of the biggest and one of the popular ones. We came here early October, the weather was quite warm, and the place was full of tourists. We went to try each and every bath. When you were in the indoor bath, just looked up and enjoyed the architecture of the building. The location is accessible through M1 line.

We spent several hours here. The outside is beautiful and the water is gloriously hot and feels really therapeutic. I imagine many people stay in them but take the opportunity to explore indoors and there's so many more pools to try. Warm, hot, cold, freezing all shapes and sizes. We had so much fun trying them all. Well worth the money. Book ahead and get a cabin!

If you haven’t been to a bath in Budapest, then this is the one to visit. You can prebook online to save time and money, get a booth to change in and visit the hot, warm and cold baths inside and out. Plus the saunas and steam room. Worth a visit. Do visit outside especially as lots to see and do. No pics as didn’t have camera (and not right taking pictures of people in swimming attire).

At first, I wasn't sure which of many thermal baths to choose in Budapest. I chose Szechenyi for the architecture but was very pleased with the quality of service and overall experience. This thermal bath complex offers a variety of services: a large open-air swimming pool, pools with hydro massage, indoor pools, saunas, etc.

Iconic bathing facility, bit of a "must do" if in Budapest. However, instructions a bit poor, take your own towel, flip-flops strongly recommended, swim-hats mandatory for the laps pool. Various levels of experiences available at different prices so do your research first, also NO CASH accepted at the ticket desk!

Your classic Budapest experience. Beautiful, massive spa. We went on a weekday - at around 5pm, and there was just a little line to but the tickets. Allow yourself 3 or 4 hours to enjoy the entire structure. I recommend choosing an evening time cos it’s quite charming. Three stars because they could really put some more work into it considering the money they charge: Some rooms have that awful neon light - where it could be a bit more relaxing, creating ambience. As well as they could have some staff making sure that at least the Turkish baths are always on point. I liked that you can bring you phone with you but they you can leave it in a locker near the outdoor pool so after you take your classic shot in the pool, you can leave your phone behind and take it back later. They give you a bracelet which will be the key for the locker in the changing room as well as for the small outdoor locker. (Mind you, There aren’t that many lockers outdoors though)

Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Budapest. Bring your own towels and flip flops if you want to save a few bob. Lots of different indoor pools, plunge pools and saunas. But heading out in your swimsuit and towel in -4° to plunge into 40° water is absolutely amazing. Well worth a visit. Allow a minimum of two hours!

We went there on a tuesday morning in December and would recommend it. First, we were not sure if we should go because of the negative reviews, but we are glad we did. Sure, it's not a newly constructed bath, so here and there some tiles aren't perfect, but we thought it is well kept and the staff was checking the water quality throughout the day. The later it got the more people came, it got quite full and maybe in the evening it's not gonna be super clean because of the amount of people inside. We highly recommend going there before 9 am, the price is cheaper (7500 per person) and everything is clean and less crowded. Inside, it would be nice to have a map so you can see what else is there, but just walk around and you will discover one after another room with pools, steams and saunas. As Germans, we think the price is good for what you get and you can stay all day if you want for around 20 €. It's an experience I think you should make when in Budapest, but bring slippers and bath robes and come early in the day.

Too expansive for what it is: 3 pool with warm water on the outside, pretty regular. Some small and overcrowded internal pools with different temperature in the inside. 4-5 sauna/salt grotto also overcrowded. For more than 30€, I have seen way more beautiful spa (also ancient one). The architecture is impressive for the size, but not particularly beautiful. One star less for telling us covering hair was compulsory and making us buy 10€ each caps: inside it is not compulsory anywhere except in one pool for swimmers

A great place for some relaxation. With 3 large outdoor pools and about a dozen inside there is something for everyone. Several steam rooms and saunas complete the experience. Although it seems pricey you can get a yearly 50% discount card if you are a resident of Budapest. Hopefully the spa will be open soon.

Two different prices: (1)Ticket for adults with cabin usage 8 100 Ft. (2)Ticket for adults with locker usage 7 100 Ft. I bought one ticket with locker at 6800Ft,because I was there after 18:00? The cafe area is decent, had a lovely beef stew there. Would also recommend getting a cabin to get changed in though. Its great you can be there all day to 8pm too with the one entrance fee. Definitely worth a visit.

The exterior part is amazing - it's so pleasant to swim or sit in hot water in the fresh air, especially when it's sunny. If you intend to swim you have to take a swimming cap - they do not allow anyone without a cap into the swimming pool. The locker rooms feel a bit old, but I still liked the place. Despite the fact that someone took away my towel. Better take a towel with distinct colors!

Wonderful experience. The entry fee is 32 Euro but it is worth it. The indoor spas were awesome, the steam room is mind blowing, the outdoor pool with the water circulating and open jacuzzi/ water spray from side, bottom are awesome.

It was super cool to experience as a tourist. It’s super old school but a very unique experience. The place is actually quite big & has indoor & outdoor pools. We went around evening/sunset time & it was so cold coming out (as expected). The pricing is super reasonable for the entrance, towel, & flip flops which you get to keep. There are outside lockers which I def recommend, & also recommended getting the locker upgrade to change in. It was just a little dirtier than what I expected but it is an old thermal bath house so I can’t complain much. Definitely recommend getting the tickets online. It’s also right across a bus stop which makes it super convenient.

Thanks god for this place in a super green environment near an historical place in Budapest. We really enjoyed it, you can swim in cold water, take a termal hot bath or have some fun with the water springs. It’s kind of full but you will thank for this place in summer with 32 degrees. Entrance for 30 euros around.

You absolutely have to visit the Széchenyi Thermal Baths when visiting Budapest!!! Even when they 'seem' busy there are still plenty of places to relax and escape the crowds in the smaller pools and saunas inside. There is a great mix of cold, warm and hot baths to choose from and various steam rooms and saunas all at different temperatures. I didn't pre book my slot and although it was midday I was able to get in with no issues. Pre booking is advised though to make sure you get in!! You could pay extra for a cabin to get changed in but I opted for the cheaper 'communal' changing room. No matter what option you go for, a locker is always included in the price. These can be accessed with the RFID wristband you get given upon entry. We stayed for about 4 hours but could have stayed longer if we wanted to. There are extra services offered such as massages, a beer spa and a no-textile area (nude). We came away from the baths after having a great day out relaxed and refreshed and would 100% recommend it!!!

Great bathhouse! Lots of indoor baths and 3 outdoor pools (one lap pool that you need a swim cap for, a whirlpool, and a hot pool). Multiple sauna/steam rooms. We went at 10:30 on a Wednesday and there was no line, definitely didn’t need the skip the line online tickets. Outdoor pool area was pretty busy with no open seats so if you want to lounge outside definitely get there very early if you want one of those seats. Some of the pools weren’t super clean :/ most were fine though. In the changing rooms there was only soap, so bring your own shampoo, conditioner, etc. Overall a great bathhouse but don’t get your hopes up if comparing it to Japan’s onsens or Andalusia’s hammams.

A beautiful facility and experience. Our family really enjoyed our time. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommend getting there early and pre booking. We arrived around 7:15 am and it was quite peaceful. Mostly locals at that time. We had no problem finding chairs and enjoying the indoor thermal and cold plunge pools. By 9-10 am it got very busy. Recommend getting a cabin so you have space to change. Bring flip flops and your own towel. If you want to lap swim bring a swim cap.

Must do activity in Budapest. The place was very clean and tidy and booked the locker in advance and also the tickets. It gets crowded very soon so better to get the tickets in advance. It is better to get there as it opens and lie-down in water whole day and keep switching between hot and cold water pools. Make sure to park only in the paid public parking lot which is available there. Illegal parking at the street might get your car booted with fine. it was 40EU per ticket.

Review for Google Maps: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Széchenyi Thermal Bath in Budapest is undeniably an experience like no other. As an international remote personal trainer and life coach, I know the importance of both relaxation and transformation. Swimming underneath the moon in a neutrally heated pool with a chilly -13°C air was absolutely surreal and one of the best experiences of my life. If you're seeking an unparalleled relaxation, this is THE place to come. And if you're aiming to transform your body or need guidance in life, don't hesitate to reach out to me. Széchenyi Thermal Bath is a MUST visit!

2023: The largest and most recommended thermal bath in Budapest. Mandatory for all travellers, and locals alike. Prepare yourself to spend a day's worth here in the main outdoor pools or the many smaller indoor ones. The 70°-80° sauna was one of my favourites, great having a cold shower and hopping back in a few times. Physical therapy that melts your body into marshmallow. *****

What a fantastic experience we had at the baths! Got there early and managed to secure two sun beds and enjoy the water before it got too busy! There is a cafe on site which accepts cards and we got a big portion of watermelon! We accidently forgot our hats and had left them in the changing room. The staff were so helpful and went to great lengths to find them and get them back to us!

Can easily spend the day here if you are prepared. Large outside pools and indoor spas. Sun chairs are limited so arrive early and keep them. Hire a cabin much easier to change and safe. Drinks and snacks on sale if watching your expenses bring your own. We took own towels

Honestly it is and felt like nothing more then a tourist trap. Which is so disappointing sense so many people rave about it. To me it felt just like an average outdoor swimming pool, but one of the pools was heated like a hot tub. The locker rooms are gross don’t ever take your shoes off!! Honestly the only reason I’m not giving it two stars is it was nice to sit outside in the pools. I’d say don’t waste your money at this tourist trap; and go to one of the other smaller thermal baths like Rudas was 100 times better and more relaxing

One of the best things to do in Budapest is to go to a Thermal bath to spend some time. We spent about 3 hours there and had a great time. The architecture is very interesting and the place is kept pretty clean especially given the number of daily visitors m. It’s just something you should do when visiting Budapest.

Tourist trap! We paid £25 pp for the pools. This place is very hyped and overpriced. Charging £25 for the pools with minimum wage of the country £500 seems ridiculous. Clearly not made for locals. It’s just average pool where in some European cities you pay £5 for this. In many other European cities you get more for less. It was overcrowded, most of the hair dryers were not working. Good that I read the reviews and brought towels and flip-flops for us. I definitely recommend you spend your money somewhere else.

Such a wonderful healing experience day. Surrounded by history and elegance. The indoor pool facilities are dated but that must be forgiven when you are using a 125 year old spa. Definitely have a massage while you are here, they have plenty of double massage rooms.

Our tickets were the ones with a cabin. We went in October end, 2023. It was a great experience overall. A few things to note - You should carry your own towels and slippers to avoid the cost of buying them from the shop inside. A shower cap is needed ONLY if you plan to swim. The water in the swimming pool is not heated. We did not enter the swimming pool despite having bought two caps. Drinks inside are overpriced, you might wanna carry them with you. Same for food, I didn't really see any food options in the two shops inside. There is also a sauna on the other side which honestly felt wayyyyy toooooo hot (I have been to saunas a gazillion times). Their hair dryers are in the common area only and they barely work, so if you are planning to go for a fancy dinner after this Spa, you might wanna carry your own hair dryer. And in fact, they should also improve their facilities to at least provide a decent hairdryer. They hurry a lot at closing times and want you to leave asap, so you might wanna plan to leave this place a little earlier than the scheduled closing times.

It’s a great place for swimming & mingling with other people. However It’s quite stressful checking in as the people over the counter are not welcoming and helpful. They are just aftering your money and with their hateful gaze looking at you was a challenge I had dealt with. Seems so controlling to all the guests. I was so glad to the young customers service who approached me and resolved the issues of checking in. I hope you can read my review and put a smile on your face. Thank you very much.

Huge natural spa with pools, saunas, steam rooms and many more things. Easy to spend half day in this place. Remember to drink lot of water during the day!..will definitely come back!

Great experience, bring your towel, slippers as they are mandatory. They sell these items but its a very few selection at not a worth price. We went in winter so did not need a "skip the line" ticket. In door pools very small, if you plan to use cold water pool the also bring hair cap for your hair as it is also mandatory. Def worth the experience. Very crowded but it was very nice.

It was really nice, fun and relaxing. There was an outdoor pool that contained a circle that had jets pushing you around and that was my favorite part. I preferred the outdoor pools to the inside ones because the water in the inside pools smelt a little funny like weird rubber. The steam room indoors was really nice though, as was the small tub of really cold water. Don’t forget to dry off your suits, there’s a swimsuit drying machine in the locker rooms, you just have to walk down the hall if you can’t find it

We visited the Szechenyi Baths in Budapest in December and it is one of the best. I very much recommended the outdoor baths and the rooftop spa greenhouse. The soothing effects of warm mineral-rich waters mixed with the cool winter air was delightful. The yellow walls with the light blue water is something that photos can’t do justice! Cabin’s are big enough for two, I recommend getting one. We also got tickets in advance online to avoid any waits or lines.

GO EARLY! Was there a hour before the doors opened and the crowd was about 150 people before they opened the doors. IF YOU BOUGHT TICKETS ALREADY = RIGHT SIDE DOORS! If you haven't bought a ticket, no QR code, DIDN'T BUY A TICKET = LEFT SIDE DOORS! There's also a door in the middle of the right and left side doors which is THE EXIT! When I left about 1 pm the line to get in was like 350 to 400 people deep. GO EARLY! A hour before they open. Outdoor pool is the best since they have 8 smaller ones inside but the LARGE OUTDOOR BATH IS THE BEST!
