A real gentleman like other ones mentioned We rent the bikes in a top price, made a bike tour for two days in the city and we were almost everywhere ! He helped us find the best bikes for all 4 of us and we didn’t had any problem while used them ! I have been in many cities, rent from different places in Europe and made different experiences with , but this one was unforgettable! He is the best! Thank you so much again for everything ! I can highly recommend BIKE BASE Budapest for anyone looking for a reliable rental store that services and sells bikes too. It is conveniently located near the city centre and the owner is super friendly and helpful with excellent communication skills. He speaks fluent English and able to advise on suitable bikes and routes. We rented two bikes for three days and had a great time cycling in the city. Also managed to do a couple of days in the countryside north of the city along the river. Beautiful scenery! Will definitely be back next time we are in Budapest.

We rented bikes to ride along the banks of the Danube and it was a great experience. We were well looked after, the bikes were good and we were provided with locks.

Excellent bike rental service! I was not looking for a touring/city bike but for a road bike I could take out of the city on longer mileage rides (50km-150km)… Peter was very quick at responding to my questions online (within minutes), like frame sizes available, etc. Pick up and drop off were easy, and the bike took me to both touristy spots as well as up the surrounding mountains. Hired 2 bikes from Bikebase for a trip from Budapest to Szentendre during our stay this week. The owner (I believe his name was Imre) was great, funny guy, dry sense of humor! He sorted us out with 2 bikes which were both faultless and rode very well. Helmets were offered included in the price along with a lock for each bike and a puncture repair kit. Total cost for the 2 Bikes for 5 hours worked out to be £16 which was excellent value for money. Would recommend Bikebase to anyone visiting Budapest and if we are back in Budapest again we will certainly be returning.

Bicycle rental is 2 times cheaper then in other places. They have a bike for all height and different options: sport, cruiser, mountain. Owner is super nice guy. Will help in all situations, give a recommendation for trip and just a pleasant talk. He is also participates in socially beneficial activities. I am not often writing a reviews, but this place is very nice and I highly recommend it!

Really good experience. Super friendly guy serving us at the shop who was kind enough to map out areas to visit that weren't typical tourist spots. Bikes were so cheap to hire and such a good range of bikes too. Definitely the best place to rent bikes.

Went in search of a box to pack my bike for flight home. Unfortunately the owner said he didn't do boxes any more, but gave me a map and indicated where I could find other shops where I quickly had success. Very helpful. There were some other customers in the shop to whom he was very attentive. Shop looked well-equipped. To be recommended

The owner is such an amazing guy. We visited his shop on a Sunday, when it is supposed to be closed and nevertheless he treated us the best way possible. We rented two bikes, in great condition, for three days and we had the best of times. Best choice for touring around Budapest. Highly recommended!

Just great. Really friendly and helpful, great choice of bikes for urban sightseeing or longer trips. I rented a basic bike and covered about 80km in two days with no problems. You get helmet, lights, repair kit thrown in. Very reasonable prices, excellent value, great communication. Highly recommended!

Yet again a passionate owner who loves his product, takes incredible care of his clients and provides incredible value. Maybe these cycling people are just nice? He had a wonderful hybrid city bike for me and spare tyre, tools, pump and helmet all thrown in. I’d go straight back to him again and wish him all the best !
