I studied Software Engineering there and was a excellent experience. I participated in a international program that had students from all the world. The University is very structured and the teachers are well trained. I loved the library with its Harry Potter's style. Amazing time I've spent there. Definitely I would come back to make a visit!

The Budapest University of Technology and Economics, official abbreviation BME, is the most significant University of Technology in Hungary and is considered the world's oldest Institute of Technology which has university rank and structure. It was the first institute in Europe to train engineers at university level. It was founded in 1782.

i studied master mechanical engineering in english it was trouble professors do not explain anything well they are worse proferssors. i think they recruited them because they are Hungarians not because they are good for the jobs also locals have advantages because they have materials in their language while foreigners have to look on the internet i was struggling with finding many specific materials spending more than half of my time just search 🔍 before studying them.

I studied in Faculty of Architecture. In my final diploma in B.Sc I got a 4 from 5. I was one of the best students in Master of Architecture. When I made my final diploma, they gave me a mark of 2 from 5!!!!! A mark of 2 means almost nothing. However my work was really professional. If I take this diploma in any other University, it would get at least a 4 from 5, in my own opinion. I suspect that one or two professors, intentionally were biased against me in order to damage my good marks. This was one of my greatest disappointments in academics. If you will study in this University, be very careful. Some faculties destroy their own best students. Currently I can find mistakes to the best famous architects in the world and my own University did such serious mistake. Thus currently I am one of the best architects in the world. Thus the disgrace is on this University that gave a bad mark and not on me. I do a Ph.D preparation now and I cannot consider this University, due the very unfairness they did. I consider a real crime, of what they did in my case. If at least they have honesty and fairness, to reexamine my M.Sc. Diploma by an independent committee, in order to see if it deserves a better mark, this can save their reputation. I hope they are clever enouph to reexamine my M.Sc. diploma and give a higher mark.

Great uni. 241 years old (2022), going strong. Excellent teachers, good facilities, great research people (and results), lots of happy students.. Well, if I wanted to sound a bit less biased I should have mentioned that the entire University would urgently need a facelift. Usual excuse is that the delay is caused by lack of funds. Hardly acceptable when we look at the # of students, the tuition, the # of staff, average salary and the student/teacher ratio. But this is not the place of an economic review nor the criticism of the controlling board. Maybe should have been.

Old university with old equipment. On the other side, lets say nice buffet with coffee, snacks, cheap menza. Thats what all of us like.

Now maybe it is the museum I think and tourists attraction . All of the old buildings, castle, squares, churches are on the hill at Puda side that offer the view over the Danube

Is is excellent not only as a University, its campus and gardens are wonderful, in which small kids playing around. The main "K" building is an outstanding ikon along the Danube.
