    The statue was created by sculptor László Marton with the assistance of architect György Vadász. It was inaugurated on December 22, 1980. The following quote appears in his poem "By the Danube": "As if it flowed from my heart, the Danube was confused, wise and big." The full poem: At the Danube (J.A. June 1936)

    I love this poet. He has beautiful and deep poems... His statue is very remarkable. But my favourite statue of him is near the lake Balaton (Balatonszarszo). That is talk even more about him...about his poems and his suiced death. Under a trail...

    This is one of the many statues of Budapest and some quirky statues at that and a Thermal bath hotel never went in the fantastic parliament buildings more of majestic bridges
