I’ve seldom come across a place that is so incredibly deserving of all the five star reviews it gets. The food is out of this world and the staff are cheerful and polite. I’ve tried quite a few brunch places but they come nowhere close to the genius behind the food here. Just delightful.

You have to try avocado slices and omelette from eggs these masterpices are full of various ingrediences and taste! When I read other people's reviews that it's one of the best brunch they have had, I was skeptical at first but still decided to try. And indeed, it truly was the best brunch I have ever had. We ordered a Champion's breakfast and a pancake and 2 flat white. Great coffee to begin with. The presentation and plating was beautifully done. The ingredients are super fresh and cooked really well. Great combination of flavours, juicy and tasty homemade sausage served with what I believe was some homemade ketchup, a toasted bread on the side that's covered with grated cured egg yolk and cheese. Just divine! Same for the pancakes, just wonderfully done. Crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. Served with some lovely selection of seasonal berries and pistachios cream. I'm not a brunchy person, nor do I like the many other brunch places that are done so commercially nowadays, but the experience at Gentry today was just impeccable, given the high quality of food being served, the thoughts, hard work and precisions done by the talented chefs. Looking forward to coming back to Budapest just for this! This brunch place is beyond my expectations. Highly recommended.

One would thing that avo-eggs combo would not be something to remember, but one would be terribly wrong!! Combined with baked tomatos (that were peeled which shows that they really care about their food!) and fermented maroccian lemon, served with amazing fresh sourdough bread. Friend had their pulled pork burger paired with tabbouleh and other had omelette with nice creative touch of sausage crumble. I would give more stars if I could!

We first got a table at the entrance which I like cause there you have the lively atmosphere with the bar and the stuff working and making coffee. Then we were relocated to the lower level which is ok as well. Personally, I prefer the entrance area. Due to the inconvenience we were offered a free drink each. Very thoughtful! The cafe is beautiful and so is the presentation of drinks and food. The taste of the omelette was good, avocado and egg was pretty but a little underwhelming in taste. Nothing special but rather a little expensive for Budapest. All in all a nice little cafe hood for Instagram and relaxation.

Definitely deserves a five star rating. The staff is polite, cares about the costumers and pays attention to the details. The food is prepared on the spot. Top quality ingredients and warm plates are guaranteed. In addition the plates taste delicious. Moreover, the place has great esthetics which gives the customer a comfort feeling. They had some very nice other plates also not available today so we tried only one option. It's worth trying the place and the food was cheap comparing to the other brunch places we went. They also have vegan and vegetarian options.
