Excellent. While in a somewhat remote area of town (albeit there is a popular shopping mall across the street), the food they make here is some of the best: the Pho soup shows nice clarity on the gum, like many others does not leave a salty aftertaste. Ingredients are all fresh and of high quality — I only tried the Pho soup, but can attest the other dishes served to neighbouring tables were looking great. They have a little outpost seating area — it’s a great choice on a sunny day. Service is nice and polite, but keep in mind it’s a bistro; you serve yourself and pick up the food.

The most wonderful experience ever! We had prawn pho, chicken noodles and desserts. It was absolutely delicious. Price is very affordable and I would recommend this place anytime. It is wonderful!! Thank you for this food Hai Nam Pho!

We ordered Bun Cha and it was very bad, pork meat smelled bad and It didn’t taste like the original Bun Cha in Vietnam, we could not finnish even 1/5 of the portion, could not find even 1% of similarity between the original Bun Cha and Hai Nam’s Bun Cha. I also ordered Bun Ngan, which tasted also far different than the original Bun Ngan but overall it was much better than Bun Cha. The only thing tastes good there is this drink, it’s called Nuoc Mia :)

Fantastic catfish Bun Ca. With the lime and the sauce, incredibly zesty and tasty. Yum. The springrolls were good, but kind of average (which is still good). The food was brought very quickly and was served looking delicious. The serving size was large and the price was also very affordable (7,10€ for spring rolls and the huge bowl of rich soup - take it as an appetizer + main dish for two, actually). Recommended for Vietnamese food as well as gluten-free yummies.

Which is good as the place is very popular for their quality pho. I had the pho with pork, and it was extremely well balanced, and the extra toppings of garlic and lime made the difference. A place I'd recommend for a quick family dinner, a cold evening meal, or a switch up I'm European food.

One of the best phos I've tasted. I recommend it to everyone. The restaurant can be really crowded at lunch / dinner time, I advise you to reserve a table.

I was disappointed. The quantity of the meet and the shrimp unfortunately had been significantly reduced in the Pho soup. For 2500 Huf / 1 Pho soup , I would expect to find more than 4 piece of shrimp in my soup . What is actually only 2 piece. Because they cut the shrimps in half - half. See the pictures ☹️☹️☹️☹️🙁

Great Vietnamese soups, quite cheap and good service. Not the most amount of dishes but quality is good.

Isohko ravintola, jossa asiallinen palvelu. Ruuaksi possua kevätrullilla nuudelisalaatissa. Toisena rapeaa ankkafilettä riisin kanssa. Juomaksi olut ja mangomehu. Hinta 8000 HUF. Erittäin edullinen paikka siis. Nälkä lähti, mutta ehkä sellainen makujen yllättävyys jäi puuttumaan.

Delicious pho and summer rolls. Did not expect to find such a great Vietnamese restaurant here in Budapest. Good to price ratio was really great and good portions. Will definitely come back

Very standard and authentic pho bo, the bun cha is also good but far less authentic which I understand. It can be hard to acquire certain fresh ingredients for this dish. It is always a pleasant experience eating here.

I used to come to this place a lot around 7 years ago, it was one of my fav places to eat Pho soup, today the pho soup broth was just great, less meat inside though, spring rolls were good too, service is great and super fast, atmosphere is good but prices are actually really good, less than other vietnamese restaurants

Walking in reminded me of being in Asia, and I liked it. The food came very quickly - maybe a bit too quickly, and the noodles were over cooked (broken into many small pieces). My suspicion is that they heated the food up or kept it warm before serving. Soup was on the salty side, but I did also add the garlic. Overall a decent place for Vietnamese food, but would probably go somewhere else. Still authentic and good pricing. (Would recommend a large, I ordered a medium was partially full.) Very accessible, near Újbuda-központ M. A few minutes’ walk.

Amazing place! The quality of food and service was amazing. I went there with some friends of mine and it is a good place to visit with friends as well. Prices could be cheaper in my honest opinion but still they weren't so much expensive.

Best vietnamese restaurant that I found in Budapest, the noodles in Pho are made by them so you can tell the difference with other vietnamese restaurants, the Nem are also made by the house (very crispy and fresh). Prices are cheap compare to the food portion, and the service was very quick. Nice discovery with the banana fritters, which was one of the best vietnamese dessert that I've tried in Europe. I'd definitely come again with friends and family!!

I’ve been eating at Hai Nam for years, even when it was at Sárkánycenter before it was discovered by a food blogger. While I wish there was an option to order extra meat portions for the pho, it has been nothing short of an excellent broth that I miss as I no longer live in Budapest

I am sure that this is the perfect place to eat THE BEST pho soup in this country. The place is comfortable, the pho soup with beef (pho chín) is amazing! Nothing very fancy, but the food was excellent, for a valuable price, dishes arrived quickly after ordering (even at lunch time). Most importantly people get what they expect: good service, good food, good price. Totally recommended!

Best Vietnamese restaurant in Buda. The crazy part is that compared to the quality, the prices are relatively low. It's my go to place for a lunch break or if I have friends visiting. Great experience overall!

The food is really tasty here and a good value for money. Service is friendly, fast and efficient. They don't accept tips but there is a jar for a charity organization where you can place your contribution. It's a must place if you like Vietnamese food.
