The IFOLYÓ project was created in cooperation with the VALYO - City and River Association and the BETON workshop. The thermal water from the outlet of the Gellért bath was previously collected in a "jacuzzi" created by spontaneously laying stones. In the spring of 2016, 50 university students expanded it with new functions in the hope of increasing use. The aim of the project is to bring life to the "barren" quayside.

I think it is unique in the world, fed with warm medicinal water! There is always a barbecue area and driftwood nearby :-) , if the water level is high, it cannot be used. There is no changing room, but you'll have to solve it somehow! You don't even have to exchange tickets :-) , and it's rare that there's no space!

In winter, not many people use this free bathing facility.

Here, at the thermal water outlet, a small pool was built from the stones here. Anyone can bathe here, e.g. out of necessity, who is homeless and does not have the opportunity to clean himself, or as a joke, fresh graduates who just then sweated out the good answers in front of the committee. Both are punished if caught. Bathing is prohibited here

A very good little project, be careful, the stone slides where the algae settles!

I hadn't realised this was a known place where people came to visit when l stumbled upon it one early evening and observed some locals bathing here. Good idea- cheapest spa and open to all.

Too bad, the Danube was too high to enjoy it :/ before making the decision to go swimming there, don't hesitate to see the water level.

In winter and summer, this small pool, which is fed by the overflowing water of the Gellért bath, offers a special opportunity for swimming at low Danube water levels.
