It was a cool place before but now it is a disaster, you should avoid it. Went there to meet a friend and he told me it is quite empty but security would not let me in saying their boss told them so!? They elaborated that the place is full house but they would not let my friend in even after 10 people left out. Security was really rude as well and didn't want to explain why are they acting like this.

One of the few leftie spaces in Budapest. Highly recommended for like-minded comrades. Note: they host Food Not Bombs Budapest and also serve vegan food.

Best bar in Town! It's super hard to find a bar in Budapest out of the circuit. The clubs close to the city center are super mainstream or created for the tourists. The ruinbars are... Meh. Aurora has another atmosphere! Kind hosts and sociable people. Perfect place to drink some beers reading a book or chatting with someone. I'll be back!

Are you looking for a unique, authentic, no-frills place in the heart of Budapest? Aurora is the no-nonsense place where local community organizers, music lovers, and curious minds meet for a drink (great lemonade and beer)and meaningful conversations. Great live music venue on weekends and some week-nights, or come for their daily delicious vegan lunch. If you have an event to host consider renting their simple, and well equipped meeting room. You will not run into other tourists here :)

Really nice casual bar with live music inside. The outside space is super chilled whereas inside you can stumble into metal music by local artists. Will go back 😊

Great event space and some of the best dance parties in Budapest for smart, open-minded people. This is an important meeting point for many important causes.

This cultural community space takes its name from the shabby street in District VIII where it can be found. The centre went through a rough patch last year and closure was on the cards, but thankfully they made it through and, as they say, the show must go on. They do everything that the words ‘community’ and ‘cultural’ suggest, from yoga to social solidarity activities and theatre, but they excel on the musical front: there’s jazz, electronica and classical music in their repertoire, among others.

Thee world is insane, and it's places and communities like this that help give faith that things can be ok. Great punk music tonight, great cheap drinks, amazing programs working with immigrant rights, lgbqt rights, differently-abled rights and always anti-fascist. My favorite thing I've found in Budapest so far. I'm really grateful for the effort that goes into this. Come enjoy this place and support this place.

It's a left wing activist nest pub and open space for music and art with a lot of tolerance, run by mostly women as far as I know. Really worth to visit!

Wow....a really nice place with nice people and amazing local bands. Also a lot of infos about the lokal subculture. When you like "hand made" live music? This is a nice place. Also thanks to the Stuff...they gave me helpful info s for the city.

Any place flying a pride flag at the door instantly has my heart. Plus drinks were reasonably priced.

Aside being a nice bar with live events, it is, with Gólya, the main activist / leftist hub in Budapest. They are super supportive of multiple organizations and are constantly threatened by the far right in the country.

Ventilation is horrible on the underground room, and sound isn't great either because it sounds like the audio cable connected to the dj PC is failing.

Nice place to hang out with more friends. I was surprised though to find prices rather spicy 🔥. The place doesn't have the best furniture and don't expect too much cleanliness!

Auróra is a communist garden pub, and it excels at all of those. Lovely people, great beer, nice environment with a couple plants.

Good. There are many smokers at the entrance of the bar and it is very small venue. If you are non smoker this is not the place for you.
