Nice relaxing beach to visit with the family. The caves are quite cool and safe to walk through. Recommend it for anyone that wants to enjoy the sun and have a swim. Kids can take out the boogie boards and catch some waves. Parking is also good with amenities close by. Overall we have a great time on the says it wasn't raining.

Beautiful beach with awesome rock/ cave formations to explore. There's a cafe nearby as well as toilets/ showers. This beach is a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise.

One of the finest beaches we have visited near New Castle. There are numerous caves on one side of the beach where you can see some great sunrises. Also, you can click some great silhouette pictures from the caves with the ocean in the background. Better to carry an extra pair of clothes for a bath in water. Fresh water taps and showers are available to wash off the sand along with an area for a picnic area. Many parking spots available.

Absolutely beautiful. I'm going to come back and back and back again!!! There are no stinking stairs to walk down to get to the beach. (Bloody brilliant). Sand wasn't full of broken shells and was nice to walk on. Cafe close by and lifesavers on hand. (First time EVER that I've actually heard every word they said over the loud speaker, when making an announcement, too).

Lovely day out, not much shade so take some options. If you are enjoying the beach it is shallow for a fair way but the waves can be vigorous, consistent and strong for children so stay within the flags. I went to explore the caves with my toddlers, if your looking for some nice photo ops, this is your place, just don't forget your camera.

Beautiful sea shore. You can play and enjoy in the water. At one end of sea there are natural caves. Love to see it

It was amazing.. we went on a stinking hot day, inside the Caves it was nice and cool.. so we could hide from the heat there when needed. The rock pools were fun for the kids to explore, the beach was busy but not over the top. The water was clean and fresh.. everything about Caves Beach is awesome.. we would definitely go back!

Popular swimming beach with some amazing caves and rock formations. It would be so much fun for kids to explore the caves too. There was car parks available and toilets near the surf club and a couple of nice lookout points.

Such a gorgeous spot..cute little beach, complete with busy little Cafe, toilets and play area. Walk around to the right and into some fabulous Caves...we were lucky to make it as tide was coming . Car park up top but a closer car park lower to beach.

Beach is nice and wide, great to stroll along when it's low tide especially as you can see the caves. The sunset is on the opposite side though so you'll come here more for golden hour lighting vs. seeing the sunset itself. Plenty of parking and bathrooms available

Wide beach with fine sand dunes. Didn't get to explore the inside of the cave as the waves were very strong despite being low tide. Nice beach to walk along and watch the high surf waves being blown up by the strong cold wind. There's a long parking area near the Stuart Chalmers Park. Easy access to the beach from the parking area.

Nice looking big beach, looks fairly calm, nice lookout up the top. We also saw a few dolphins.

A very beautiful and family friendly beach. The beach does have lifeguards, a few caves to explore, several shower areas, lots of carparks and a clubhouse which contains a kiosk for food and drinks, a small bar and a function room available for hire.

Have been wanting to visit this place for a while and finally made it. Check the tides before heading there, a couple of hours either side of low tide is ok for access. Pretty windy so take an extra jacket. The beach itself is also excellent, very fine white sand and wide, flat beach great for kids.

Seen other pictures on TV and social media for this place, and it looks alot bigger on TV than in real life. Still didn't dissapoint, turns into a magical place at dusk! Stunning! And word of warning this place is a must see at low tide ONLY!

Great view, easy access to the caves when you plan ahead based on tide graph. Lots of car park and complete amenities. Highly recommend!

A must-go when travelling out of Sydney! Do note the tide level as it is only accessible during low tide. We visited the beach at approximately 12noon when the lowest tide is at 1pm at 0.4m and the cave beach is easily accessible. There are still some puddles that you need to avoid if you plan to stay dry, so do watch your time (in case the tide comes in when you are leaving the caves). This is easily accessible from the carpark. We went to the biggest carpark with many lots and there is clean toilet and shower facilities available. The caves are just less than 10mins walk away (flat ground), so suitable for families. We spent about an hour there and it wasn't crowded at 12noon in June. There are many beaches in and around Sydney, but this one is the best in my opinion (plus the amazing clear blue sky).

One of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to, full of caves to explore! Go at low tide so you can access the caves, and off peak to avoid big crowds! Incredible beauty and well worth the visit
