I visited this gallery to see an exhibition and I did not know what to expect but it was a pleasant surprise. The gallery is small but well-designed and all the artworks are displayed in a way that enhances their beauty. There are paintings as well as sculptures based on Newari traditions and culture. I really enjoyed visiting this gallery. I also saw some sculptures that I had not see anywhere else. For example, the sculptures of Annapurna and Avalokiteshvara were unique and I could not find anything similar on Google. It was a great experience. You can visit their Instagram page to see if there are exhibitions. Highly recommended.

We were looking for something interesting to do towards the end of our trip and I found the BodhiSattva Gallery. It looked interesting so I reached out to them. They provide a free tour that was very informative. I kept thinking to myself how I wished we would have done this before we did any city tours that involved symbolic images of Hinduism and Buddhism. It would have given greater perspective to our trip in Nepal. I would recommend anyone interested in learning more depth about the Newari Art to visit this fabulous gallery before exploring the city and cultural sites. Siddhartha had many interesting stories about his father's role in bringing more respect to the artists. We were able to meet his mother as well and they are a very educated and humble family. I felt nothing but respect for what they are doing to educate people about Newari art.
