While I love the new location with its airy design, something has happened to the donuts. These used to be the best I had in my life and now they are just average. Still creative toppings but something has changed with the dough. I waited and waited for the reopen this spring but it’s just not the same as a year ago 🫣 For most people it’s probably still great but I’m a donut snob…

There is nothing I love more than a good donut and Hook & Press has it DOWN. Their donuts are extremely fresh, fluffy, and delicious. I tried multiple of the seasonal flavors: blueberry crisp, raspberry peach, lemon olive oil--there was not a single I didn't like! The donuts are also not super sweet so perfect for the adult palate. Their espresso is fantastic and we even ordered the dog donut! A bit too hard for our pup but very aesthetically pleasing ☺️The staff is very friendly. All around fantastic spot!

Obsessed! Without a doubt, my favorite donuts in SB. Not only are they beautiful, but the flavors are incredible too! We ordered the honey cake donut, beet ricotta brioche donut, butterscotch brioche donut, and vegan houseplant sandwich. The location is beautiful and there’s plenty of seating. The merchandise is adorable. The line didn’t take terribly long. Everything around the interior was clean and styled well. Quite surprisingly, the butterscotch donut wasn’t overly sweet - they somehow managed to get a beautiful and distinct butterscotch flavor in the filling without making it so sweet that it overwhelms you after a few bites. Such a pleasant little surprise! Not a single criticism. I’d come back anytime

The donuts are good but I’ve had better at local lesser known mom and pop shops. Maybe I had a stale one but they tasted average and they were huge! The worker was so friendly to us and and our dogs. We bought some doggy donuts and enjoyed it outside with ours.

Hook and Press donuts are delicious. The unique flavors and freshness are amazing. That's even though more places are doing specialty donuts these are really good. The deliciousness even extends to their breakfast meals. The sandwiches are amazing light and fluffy and tasty. In the heart of downtown Santa Barbara you have to try this place.

Everyone has their obsession. For me, it's donuts. I happily traverse the west coast in search of the perfect donut. Well, I no longer have to search. I have found the perfect donut, and it can be found at Hook & Press. All I can say is 'wow'! Every selection is not only delicious, but a small work of art almost too pretty too eat. I would name my favorite, but I couldn't honestly pick one over the others. While the line has always been long when I've been there, it always tends to move fast unless you have a customer asking tons of questions before their purchase. Will I ever find a better donut anywhere? Probably not. Will I keep coming down from the San Francisco area to visit Hook & Press? Definitely!

These brioche donuts are soft, light and delicious, so many favorites! And the coffee is great, especially the cappuccino, the best I've had! I go to Hook & Press whenever I'm in Santa Barbara.

Donut Series, Part 8 I probably wouldn’t have guessed that “Hook and Press” was a donut joint by its name alone, but after it was recommended to us by @donuthunting we just knew that we had to try it. They claim to offer “craft donuts” and it would be difficult to argue with them. I never imagined using the term “dining experience” when it comes to the partaking of a donut, but that’s exactly the term that jumped into my mind because of the ambiance they have created. “Donuts” and “ambiance” being associated in any way? This was truly a first for me. Although their extended menu offers Vegan and gluten conscious offerings, I’m not actually sure I could be here and pay attention to anything other than their donuts. After an extended internal struggle I finally placed an order for a “Coastal Fog” and a “Hostess Cupcake.” Genius names, amirite? They were both so good that they inspired us to create (what we think is) a new term. These are “sipping donuts” and by that we mean that they are meant to be savored. Much like a fine wine or whiskey, please slow down and take your time when enjoying these beauties. If you happen to visit with a four legged friend in tow, there’s no need for your companion to be left out as they also offer “Dog Donuts.” “Hook and Press” has earned our full support in continuing to bring scrumptious joy to the Santa Barbara region. And that’s…Henry’s Take. #santabarbaradonuts

Fun little gourmet donut shop in the same location as Jeanine's once was located. Good selection of donuts, sandwiches and drinks. The GOAT sandwich was a perfect compliment to the sweetness of the donut. Definitely a fun place to go with others so that you can gut up and share a variety of the donuts.

Excellent donuts and espresso drinks. Donuts constantly are being refreshed with new flavors and designs which are always lovely. All the employees are super friendly and helpful. Excellent merchandise as well, I bought 2 shirts and a mug! Highly recommended, you will not regret trying their donuts!

10/10 recommended. Ordered the everything bagel & 2 vegan donuts (horchata & cookie). The vibe is amazing with clean/pink theme, great choices for donuts & even breakfast/sandwich. Definitely a place for simple quick bite to eat. Delicious!

The best donuts of Santa Barbara, California. All their donut are great - plenty of options and friendly staff. Wheelchair accessible and bicycle & dog friendly. There's a city parking lot garage on the same block. Great place to visit

Good service, trendy atmosphere. The wait time was a little long and this place is definitely pricey. Not an everyday spot more of a Santa Barbara tourist treat. Killer food and donuts.

Got a Boston Creme, was not very creme filled. I was able to scoop out 1 spoonfull and show were the creme was after I cut it in half. If they cut the doughnut in half, then filled it, would be 100% better. ADD To your reply: I did mention this on your fb page, with pictures and you deleted my post. You didn't seem interested then, so I wrote the review.

Surprisingly good stuff here between the everything bagel and the vegan breakfast sandwich which was much better than most vegan sandwiches! I got the tea which they had honey and cinnamon and other addins if you want. Friendly atmosphere, prices were a bit high but that's to be expected in Santa Barbara.
