I looked up best Italian food in los alamitos area this place popped up. They are fantastic and truly authentic. My girlfriend and I ordered Stuffed mushrooms, Soup of the day (lentil soup), Antipasto salad, Chicken parm, Stuffed shells, and Cioppino. A bread basket comes with it as well. I kid you not… EVERY SINGLE ITEM was top notch! The food was piping hot ready within 15 minutes for pickup. And they even helped my girlfriend bring the food to the car. The price is remarkable for getting 5 star food. I will continue to order from here hands down. Thank you Franco’s for your amazing food and outstanding hospitality!! Xoxo 💋

Very unassuming on the outside but full of great service and bold flavors on the inside. Everything from the bruschetta to the sea bass was phenomenal. I had the chilean sea bass special, my mom had the cod special, and my grandmother had the spaghetti and meatballs. By the end of the meal we all were sharing food because everything tasted so delightful. Our server and the other restaurant workers were very friendly and attentive. We originally came here because my original farewell dinner plans fell through, this was definitely much better! Will definitely be back here next time I'm in town. To quote my mom and grandmother, "I'm glad we didn't get to go to [other restaurant]"

I give this restaurant a 2 because our server was very nice and provided good service. The restaurant is dinghy and the food was just bad. The portions were tiny, which was fine because it was awful and I didn't want to have to choke down a larger portion. The price based on portions alone was way too high. Don't waste your time and money at this place.

I come here every once in a while with a family member. The food is delicious and authentic, the atmosphere is calming, and the service is great. I personally love getting the pesto gnocchi.

Food is tasty and prices are reasonable. Service is good and staff is helpful. Have had dinner on a number of occasions here. We do enjoy our meals. Small restaurant located in a strip mall...not fancy and informal. Lots of specials to choose from. Menu is extensive. If you want homemade tasting Italian food, this is a good place to find it. Sauces and pastas are very good. Worth a visit.

Wonderful Italian dining with pasta favourites and seafood & steak daily specials. The chef is exceptional. Sauces are delicious, salads fresh, service first rate. A hidden gem in the neighborhood. Do yourself a favor a visit Franco's.

I so wanted to love this place. Sadly the meal was filling but not worth repeating. The fried calamari was sent back as it was completely inedible. The spaghetti and meatballs were fine, but not amazing. The veal piccata was good but served with a side of penne with red sauce...which I found weird. It's usually served with spaghetti or angel hair to sop up the sauce. Creme brulee was grainy and not good

Excellent little restaurant. Love the cozy atmosphere. It's perfect for a dinner date or for a small group. All the staff are friendly and efficient. Lots of great options on the menu from starters to desert. My husband & I have been a couple times and it's now a favorite of ours.

Had delicious food. It was a very hip and Italian environment. Both the prices and the serving sizes were quite reasonable. Overall, it was excellent and satisfying. We definitely will return.

Had very good food. The atmosphere was very homie and Italian. Prices were very fair and the portions were big. I had the spaghetti and meatball. Which was pretty good. The only knock is the garlic bread. Needs more to it. Pretty bland. All in all was very good and satisfying. We will definitely come back

Food is just average. Bruschetta topping was excellent, but the bread was over-toasted and dry. The special Franco chicken was unexpectedly sweet — in fact, too sweet. The pomodoro pasta was over cooked and one dimensional. The pesto gnocchi was too cheesy. If you’re looking for Italian food, and are okay with average Italian food, then it might be worth a try.

Food is hit or miss. The prices are reasonable. We used them for catering a few time since their prices beat other competitors. Every time we order from them they always forget an item or an entrée. I've come back and no apologies. Never again.

Franco's Italian Restaurant has the feel of a small family business and the warm, friendly, cozy character to go with it. Upon entering the establishment, you are greeted with a welcoming smile as you are lead to your table. Well worn chairs and tables with paper tablecloths are indications of a casual family atmosphere and great Italian food. We had a fairly large party of 12 for lunch and we found our table, already set and waiting. The helpful staff brought in several high chairs for the 3 toddlers in our party. There was another very large party of about 24-30 people seated across from us in the room. Unfortunately, they ordered their meals first, which meant that we had to wait about 30 minutes our orders were taken. The staff did the best that they could under the circumstances, but it meant a rather length time, about an hour, before we were actually served our meal. Eventually the server came to our table, smiled and announced the specials. Everyone in our party seemed to order different dishes. I ordered the Penne Amatriciana. The sauce was wonderful, the penne cooked perfectly and the sausage was delicious. The dish was described to contain bacon, but I honestly couldn't find any in my plate. It still tasted fantastic, but it had me wondering if the bacon was little crumbs, just mixed in there somewhere. The rest of the party all enjoyed their meals as well and said the food was delicious. Service was good, as they came by often to refill our water glasses. I'm not sure if they refill the bread baskets, but the ones at our table were empty and we did not receive more. After we finished our meals, the staff quickly removed the plates from our table and provided dessert menus. We ordered lots of cannolis and spumoni ice cream. The cannolis were delicious. I plan to revisit Franco's and give them another try. The food is great and the staff is awesome. I just hope my next visit will not entail such another large party.

I was with a group celebrating a birthday. Their choice. It was my first time. I ordered the Flounder. The fish was mushy, and the soup was tepid. The dessert was Tiramisu, shared by all, and excellent! I only have compliments for our female server. She was good. 👍

My big mistake was I didn't take a photo of my order. My husband ordered meatball Parmigiano Sub, Stuffed mushrooms, Minestrone soup. The Sub was dry, meatballs had no flavor. The stuffed mushrooms didn't even look like mushrooms smothered in garlic sauce. The minestrone soup was ok. I ordered Crab cakes, and pasta sampler. Crab cakes tasted like tuna, and my pasta was just 1 stuffed shell, 1 Manacoti (I think) smothered in cheese. For $19.95 wow Garlic bread omy goodness was so dry. This was or 1st and last time here If I could give zero stars I would

Intimate, yet perfect for families, italian restaurant. Their house chianti is delicious! We ordered such a variety from antipasta salad to finger lime cheesecake, EVERYTHING was wonderful.

Warm bread served before meal. Live music here sometimes. Small restaurant with big flavor. Best Italian food for miles. Excellent service. Repeat customer.

I was so excited to find this place online with so many good reviews and it is so close to where I am staying. Unfortunately, I was so unimpressed with the food quality. The calamari was so chewy, they brought bread and no butter (brought out some olive oil sauce but never explained what it was, it looked odd and unappealing to other similar experiences and flavors) the bread wasn’t even toasted or warmed properly. The spaghetti noddles were OK, the meatballs were mushy. The sauce was so basic and bland. Overall, super confused on what other people ordered to get 5 stars. 🤷‍♀️

Absolutely love the food at this restaurant. I had the Stuffed Chicken Breast in sherry sauce (crab, spinach, cheese) and my wife had the pasta gorgonzola. Service was good, I'd recommend a reservation as it is small and gets crowded fast in the evening. This was our second visit and we will be back for certain!

Dear friends recommended this intimate Italian family-owned restaurant. Although 1 and a half hours from home in Yucaipa...it was well worth the drive and a total delight. Super friendly and lived up to the intimate environment. Our server...Luigi was amazing...knowledgeable, personable and very attentive. The specials were all to die for but Mom went for the traditional lasagna, her absolute fave...tasty, mile high and enough for 3 meals for mom...it brought a smile of complete satisfaction to her face...my daughter visiting from New Hampshire found the sauteed scallops over petite angel hair irresistible...and she was right...sweet, succulent, and melted in your mouth. As I gazed around...it was a highly popular choice. As for me, Luigi had me at the prosciutto stuffed chicken...when it arrived the aroma was tantalizing and the taste, like nirvana! And speaking of tantalizing, Franco's bread basket was baked fresh and absolutely delicious with or without the olive oil and balsamic...I hardly eat bread but on this night I was a 2 basket guy! So not only is this our newest favorite Italian joint...it is also a bakery putting out the most amazing desserts. Unfortunately we were stuffed to satisfaction but that did not prevent us from ordering cannolis for the road! Next morn we enjoyed sweet bites of Heaven fighting over the cannolis with our coffee! So...extremely well done Luigi and family! My mouth is already watering in anticipation of our next visit...BRAVO!

I ordered the branzino fish with linguini in arrabiata sauce and tiramisu for dessert... My husband ate chicken parmesan with risotto and a cannoli for dessert... delicious! It is in a very unassuming location and it has a nice atmosphere.

Amazing place. The food is always incredible, I was never into Italian food until here, the flounder in lemon garlic wine sauce is my absolute favorite......It's a family run restaurant and the owners and children all work there..........I would recommend this for a family gathering or romantic evening.....We spent Valentine's day here.....roses on the table and candles....amazing food, friendly staff....all around incredible experience......

Family owned italian restaurants never go wrong. MUST TRY! The restaurant is neither too big nor too small, it’s cozy enough. The server is very friendly and welcoming I would give her 10 stars for service if possible. I would say the bread they give before meals is the best in town. The garlic spread is just heavenly. We had chicken&spinach risotto and spinach&gorgonzola ravioli - rich and flavorful! and it’s even very affordable! Oh and we also had butternut squash soup, which was special soup of the day, and it was super good too. It goes well with bread too. I wanted to bring the soup & bread home... haha
