I am married but I fell in love once again! This place was amazing and delicious and various choices 😋 I can't wait to go back! The sliders (breakfast) were incredible! I want some as I write this. The Cubs pancakes 🥞 are a great choice for kids. Staff was nice and always attentive. I was not aware of this place but I'm glad I found this bear cave 🐻 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! GO!

Great value and very filling with quality ingredients. Just a heads up, the cup of soup of the day is $5 and pretty small. So I wouldn't recommend adding that on but everything else is great.

We order this Denver with country potatoes and we told the server to provide another one but fresh because they ware soggy like they have it there for a long time and the server give bring us this huge plate with the same potatoes that they have so they didn’t re do them also the coffee doesn’t taste like coffee also the sweet tea don’t taste like tea it was just water. I do not recommend to come to this location 😢

I’ve seen these diners all over and finally decided to try one out. Food was great. The pancakes were on point and the portions were great. The sausage was pretty big for breakfast sausage…👀 I also had to try a cup of chili. They had fresh red onions on top so be sure to let them know if it’s not your thing. I found it tasty. The servers were nice but seemed a little busy. They forgot a few things I requested but I gave them a pass.

3 plates of food for $35 with military discount. Highly recommend the bigfood fried steak. Good portions. Waiter was extremely kind and quick with refills and requests. Also got my wife a sundae for her b-day for free! Would highly recommend coming for a good breakfast.

One of the best place we found in Buena park for breakfast. Very busy on a Sunday morning, no problem on week days. Food is nice and portions are big. Super friendly staff. We went there twice!

I like this place the size of the plates here are extremely generous so definitely come hungry. The service was good. I went on a Saturday night towards the end of the night and it seemed not crazy busy so I liked that. The food taste on somethings were really good on some others wasn't bad but also not something I would order again but, overall you have to come try it. One thing I did love was the environment they have placed such attention to detail you truly are transported to a different world when inside the restaurant. Even the benches had beautiful outdoors design. See one of my pictures for reference. One last thing that I would have to say about the restaurant is that the carpet could use a little cleaning it was quite dirty. 😅 overall 4 out 5 stars 🌟 so come and check it out

Great restaurant with breakfast lunch and dinner selections. Service was fast and friendly. Bear Choice breakfast and Chicken Club sandwich were tasty and freshly prepared. Very nice atmosphere for an enjoyable meal.

The food is good,the only bad thing is the outside seating,the day we went it was extremely hot to be seating outside. Also they didn't have the food that I requested,I wanted a turkey dinner with green beans and they didn't have green beans. But overall I do recommend this place.

Omg Black Bear Diner HASN'T FAILED!!! My sibling & I had dinner there & our waitress was patient & so friendly & funny. My brother had the pot roast dinner & I myself had the meatloaf dinner 🤯🤯🤯 It. Was. Deeeeelicious 😋🤗 Next time he wants to try the steak sandwich & I'm ordering the parmesan burger 😲 My apologies that I don't remember our waitresses name, but she was outstanding 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽Can't wait for next payday to go back!!!!

Busy during lunch-time, kids menu is perfect size, my 6yr old cleaned his plate...he got the two pancakes with 1 egg & 1 sausage & 1 bacon. My other son got the BIGFOOT chicken fried steak, two pieces of the chicken fried steak with potatoes, looked good!! He says it was but the biscuits that came with it were not that good nor fresh. I had the cheeseburger salad and it was good!! Crispy lettuce, chopped red onion, pickles, bacon, cheese, ...I would definitely order again!

Good food awesome service . best prices. Hamburgers are one of a kind. Joe hobos omelett superb. But the best is the new york steak and eggs my personal favorite.

I visited the restaurant about 5pm on a weekday. Shortly after I placed my order, I heard the waiter notify the table behind me that they were out of chicken pie & waited for him to come tell me, but the waiter didn't say anything to me for about another 10-15 min when he said he just found out. During those minutes he was mostly standing around at the front gossiping with a coworker. They were not busy at all. I had also cancelled my order of a brownie sundae because they were out of brownies too. On a previous visit on a weekend morning, there was a crowd, yet the food and service was better. Word to the wise: avoid restaurants during busy hours that don't have many cars parked outside. There may be a good reason for that.

Been going to this Buena Park Black Bear Diner location for a few years now. Food is good, even though service has been lacking as of late; today something seemed off. There was one wait staff serving all 10 of the front room booths. It took 15 minutes for the server to take our order. When our order was ready we could see the plates sitting after being cooked and our server looked at and past them twice. Our food sat there for almost 10 minutes, and when we received our plates the food was luke warm. Who wants luke warm pancakes and frozen butter? In addition, our coffee was only refilled once the entire time we were there with my coffee mug sitting empty for almost our entire stay. No warm up/top off?? What is going on BBD Buena Park?!? Like I mentioned, service has been waning from a solid 4 - 5 stars a year ago down to a very generous 3 stars, but if I wasn't a loyal patron, today probably really deserves a 2 star for service. I still tipped nonetheless as this seems more of a management issue. I have hope though that this is not a sign of things to come because we love BBD.

Used to go to the Black Bear Diner in Signal Hill but after COVID the service and food was not good anymore. The Buena Park location was much better. The chicken fried steak was really good Tender and delicious. My wife had the pot roast. Again very good. We'll be back.

Our waitress, Vanessa, was speedy and took good care of us. The portions were a good size without overstuffing. Was fairly reasonably priced as well. Definitely deserves another visit. Great breakfast and pretty funny Bear signs like Abearica the Beautiful! 🤣 👍🏾

When we arrive, we were seated right away. I ordered the club Sandwich with salad the server walked away. I had to ask for silverware and napkins to eat that salad. The food was great. However, quite a few people were just standing around when they could have been cleaning all the grimy paws off of the windows and the Beautiful See through divider between the tables. I believe when a table is cleaned. The dividers and the windows within that table should also be cleaned to give a More cleaner area to eat.

Just had to share this great experience before leaving the parking lot first a huge thank you to Vanessa. She really has a great personality very warm and inviting and she knows the menu explaining things to me with the knowledge all in her head have to commend her for really knowing her stuff. All in all great experience food is amazing but this time it was a customer service that stood out.

I would highly recommend Black Bear Diner. I was in the area visiting the theme parks. Stopped by for breakfast before heading home. The food was great. Presentation was on point. My waitress Vanessa did a great job. The restaurant was very organized and clean. Clean rest rooms. I'm in the hospitality industry, so all this is appreciated.

What a great place. Went with some friends while inStanton, CA. Had the breakfast scramble with sausage and spinach. The chili corn bread was awesome with the jalapeno jelly! Everything was really amazing. Awesome ambiance.

So went here on a whim one night after my cousin and her fiancé came into town. We had reservations elsewhere but that did not go as planned. We ended up making last minute reservations at Perch and they gladly accepted us.

At the first moment you enter this place team give you a comfortable feeling. Very warm team, it is a nice place to hang out with friends and colleagues or with your date. enjoyable cooking, skillful chief cook and stuff, good price and courteous service. Warmly recommended.

Out of the biscuits at 8 in the morning out of the cinnamon rolls then when we got home with our order of pancakes they didn't give us butter and powdered sugar. Terrible service.

Husband said his tri-tip dip was delicious and onion rings hot & crispy. Only 3 stars however, because open face hot turkey sandwich not that great. White bread was very hard to cut through. Mashed potatoes so so. Best thing on plate was cranberry sauce. As you can tell I really didn't care for the meal. Will give it another try though. Always enjoy breakfast at Black Bear.
