    So now that I have my babies, I always see myself going to Petco. They have the food that I like to give my little babies, which is the blue buffalo wet kitten food and also Royal Canin wet kitten food. I always order online just because it's so much easier, and I always either do store pick up or curbside pick up. Also, when I order online, I always get some type of discount when I do pick up or curbside, which is excellent! I save a lot of money, and they always have little promotions going on when you order online as well. Every time I go to Petco, I'm always able to find parking right upfront. When I do curbside pick-up, my car is easily findable. They do not have designated parking spots for curbside, which they should have. When do curbside, I never have an issue with missing or defective items; it's always in great condition. Lastly, my order is always ready quickly!

    Petco has always been great at this location. Today was the first time I ordered ahead, (online), and then picked up my order. I also got 15% off my order of $50, if bought online and picked up at the store! Nice discount and easy transaction! The place is clean, organized and the store workers are friendly, helpful and generous! They also have honored online prices separate from the sometime more expensive store prices on the floor store. I have been a loyal customer of Petco for over 15 years and will continue to be! The pictures below are of my new travel carrier for my pet lovebird. Great case and my lovie loves it while getting some sun by the pool.

    I took my small Maltipoo (weighs all of 8pds) for a bath and cut. (Note he gets groomed and a cut every 2/3 weeks). So his hair is not outrageous). Needless to say The groomer Brittany, was rude, seemed agitated and unfriendly. She wasn’t even friendly with my little pup. She told me it will take 4 hrs for a simple cut and bath 🤨 obviously I canceled the appt. I didn’t even trust her with my dog. I booked an appt with another groomer (not related to Petco) and she did the bath and cut within an hour and 50 mins. Whatever you do. If you want decent service and just the bare minimum- a friendly groomer avoid no Brittany!

    The 5 Star Review is only directed to the PM manager today. The manager sold me two white beta fish last week, and went above and beyond to replace them today for me. The manager deserves to have corporate support them and move them up the Management chain. I’d love to hire them at my business, due to the critical thinking and SWOT analysis they brought to work today. Thanks 🙏

    I was a little disappointed that this Petco no longer carries the only cat food my cat will actually eat. I was told they only carry healthy food products now. That's great, but the healthy food is extremely expensive and a waste of money if my cat refuses to eat it. The lady behind the counter was friendly, though. They are right to only carry good food for our pets. Too bad my cat doesn't agree.

    A cashier by the name of "Tori" was very polite and offered grest customer service, however, there was another lady (i think the manager) treated me bad, ignored me, yelled at me. I think it has to do with me being latina because she was treating other customers right (which they were white) but treated me and my son bad.

    Petco is cool spot to pick up items for your pet. I notice that rearrange the inside of the the store. It was a little confusing but asked a sales person for help. Otherwise, everything was cool on the visit. I like that Petco is in the cut in the shopping 🛍 area. Thanks Petco 😊...

    i was here to see red footed tortoise, i rated 4 stars because i told a staff that I wanted to see the tortoise and she said that she would call someone to assist but waited by the tank for 15mins, nobody came. i had to asked another staff and she showed me the tortoise and share the details about how to take care of it.

    On May 16, 2022 I took my dog Bear to Vetco Total Care in Torrance and he was seen by Dr. Remigio Munsayac. Bear was taken in that day because he seemed to be hurting from his left ear and we thought he had an infection. It turned out to be wax build up with infection so Bear was taken to the back to get medication on both ears. He clearly told us the medication had to be left in his ear for 4 weeks so we even canceled his grooming appointment to allow the medication to do its job. Days later I noticed Bear was hurting from the opposite ear so I immediately scheduled him an appointment at Torrance location again. Bear was in so much pain that I had to reschedule as soon as possible and the only available appointment was in Lakewood with Dr. Collins. He was examined and it turned out the left ear was now infected as well. The right ear healed but after he was treated in Torrance he suddenly had the opposite ear severely infected. I went to Torrance location to speak to the manager and she accepted it was a "human error!" An error that has costed my dog a lot of pain and costed me several hundred dollars!! She talked for about 20 minutes straight and didn't give me a solution. There is nothing we can do regarding all the pain my dog was put through but its only fair for me to get refunded for every dollar I paid. I was charged $361.10 for the first visit $364.18 for the second visit and $143.36 of the last follow up visit. I don't understand how a manager can be so inconsiderate and try to convince me we are all humans and make errors. Very unprofessional! I will be contacting customer affairs as well.

    I came there to find a collar to prevent my dog from scratching his eye. I was greeted when I came in the door and a very nice young lady who was behind the counter went with me to look at the collars and she helped me select the collar that might be best for what I needed. I was very pleased with my purchase and with the customer service I received.

    Don’t sign up for Vetco it’s a rip off. The lady Stephanie has trash customer service skills. Please go to PerSmart. They gave my dog the same heart worm medicine twice.

    This store seems to be a smaller one, didn't have the full range of wholehearted kibble varieties. Maybe a fluke but shelves a bit bare. Very kind and helpful staff

    Their reptile section is abysmal. The care of the lizards is NOT appropriate, i.e. very low humidity levels for their INDONESIAN blue tongued skinks at 30% when they should be around 80%, they're also BURROWING LIZARDS yet the substrate is not even a centimeter deep. Humidity is also very low for chameleons. The use of reptile carpet in other tanks is also sad to see, it's a terrible substrate replacement known to harbor bacteria and claws can easily get stuck in it. Most feeder insects sit dead in their containers on the shelf, and often look crusty like they've been dead and dry for weeks. There's also almost no selection of reptile tanks, though there are many fish tanks at least If it wasn't for the convenient location, I would not go here. I try to avoid it in general as the husbandry of their reptiles is so disappointing. Most employees have been friendly so that's a plus. Take a look at the pics to see for yourself. These tanks are bone dry for animals that need very high humidity, and the feeder insects are all dead and crusty

    I went to the Petco store in Torrance for buying a special dog food for my dog. My dog has a kidney problem & his veterinarian recommended that I should buy wet food for the kidney diet. When I walked to the store, it was really cleaned and decorated with Halloween things. I met a young lady who worked at the store. She helped me look for the special diet food for my dog. We found the food, but she told me that I needed to get a prescription from the veterinarian. Then, I could buy the food for my dog. The price was very expensive, and they didn't have other selections. Anyway, I had to wait for tomorrow to call the veterinarian office

    My experience has always been great! I had questions about a prebiotic for my German Shephard and the vet was able to give good comparisons. The cashier was also able to assist. It's always nice and clean.

    I was struggling to find a groomer on short notice, especially one that went by appointments. I appreciated the ease of booking my appointment online, receiving reminders about my appointment. Sarah was my pups stylist and she was wonderful. I highly suggest using Petco for your grooming needs.

    I won’t be going back to this store. I needed help, my dog just survived cancer and I needed to return a carrier I bought that I never could use. It was in original packaging. Of course I wanted my money back but it had been 33 days. Per corporate customer service the manager could have accepted the return with store credit. With a pile of vet bills this action could have helped A lot. Instead he treated me like I was a scam artist and said it was too late for any credit at all, lying and stating it is corporate policy instead of manager discretion. I felt very embarrassed for needing to return it and had spent a lot of time with customer service figuring out how to retrieve the receipt from Pals Rewards (which I’m now canceling). If someone is going to be in a position of service they should have the ability to consider what the customer may be going through or even better treat everyone equally. I called Corporate again and that someone would call me back and help with the return. I never heard anything. Never again.
