Be aware, No longer open as of 8/31/22. According to locals, someone got badly injured (lost an arm somehow) and this was shut down by the government. Only giving 1 star due to not being able to go. I’m sure it’s great if it ever reopens.

I hesitate to write this because I don't want everyone finding out about it, but also want to support this small family business. For the money (we paid $75/night) you get two whole buildings and a central patio. The place is very well maintained and everything worked fine. Breakfast and dinner were about 150 pesos - a little over $7 at the moment. No one spoke English which was fine with me. Trying to make yourself understood is part of the fun plus now there are apps for that. The waterfall and swimming hole were a 10 minute walk and stunningly beautiful. The path is definitely not ADA compliant and might be a challenge even for some abled folks. I want to go back to Cabo just to stay at this magical place.

We went to see what it was like today to see if I could do it. I have medical issues that affect my legs. But I did it. We went down to the first pool. Then we started to make our way to the top pool but by that time my legs couldn't do anymore. It was beautiful. It was a bit of a tough hike for me but it was totally worth it. For healthy active people you should have no problem. The pool and waterfall were amazingly stunning. I highly recommend it. Go slow, take your time, take water and wear proper footwear for a hike.

This place is totally beautiful and amazing. I would highly recommend staying the night as it's lovely and peaceful and you'll likely get the waterfalls to yourself in the evening or morning (they were getting very crowded when we left late morning). I took one star off because the hotel experience was pretty confusing and we had no idea if we were going to be served dinner or breakfast even though I had messaged them several times to make a reservation. We also hadn't realized how easy it would be to pick up supplies and groceries in Santiago (an easy 20 min. drive). Dinner was a costly $13/each and it would have been fun to cook a nice dinner in the cute kitchen. They have basic supplies (couple pans, one small pot, 3 place settings). They ended up offering us dinner I think because they had extra ingredients, but not breakfast. I'm honestly still confused about it because I tried to reserve meals several times. But basically you should email/call/facebook them to see if anyone responds. Or, easier, just book the hotel online and bring your own food so you don't have to worry about it. They have a couple coolers in each cabin and you can buy big bags of ice (and beers, water, basic groceries, snacks etc) in the little grocery stores in Santiago. The waterfall is AMAZING and I could happily stay here for a week. The cabin is cute and basic. Awesome rooftop for stargazing, yoga, coffee, etc. Hummingbirds and bees everywhere. Trail is very easy and you can explore other areas around the falls. Our 5 year old loved it. I will definitely be back.

Not real easy to find, but not impossible. Google maps will torque you up if you miss a turn anywhere. Great drive though, and the river is awesome. Gin clear fresh water. Not a place for people who have any difficulty walking, very steep walk in and out.

We only stayed for one night, but it felt like a lot longer. We arrived around noon and we were able to check in early (its the off-season so I think we were one of two groups of people staying). The double-building structures are amazing - we could totally seeing ourselves coming with more sundries and charcoal for the little grill and staying for a few days. The waterfall was incredible and we kept cool in the pools until the sun settled a bit. The bedroom was VERY hot (in June), but we had a beautiful evening of stargazing on the rooftop terrace with a gentle breeze. We were comfortable and enraptured by the quiet beauty of the desert. Lastly, the family that runs the kitchen was amazing - honestly, some of the best homemade pizza we've had. Mercedes and her husband are kind, generous and had great tips for the next leg of our trip to La Paz (thanks, Mercedes, Tatanka was AMAZING!), and we just loved the family vibes with their kids eating breakfast with us (after an early morning magical trip to Santa Rita hot springs) and the dogs joining us for the evening on the roof. Super cool place, definitely stay instead of just doing a day trip.

Very rustic. Beautiful views. My only negative experience was we were excited to try the restaraunt. It was closed unfortunately and food into town is about 30min away.

Stayed one night here and visited the cascades twice. The cabins are minimalistic and rustic, but beautifully built and very well maintained. There are lights and outlets, but no other appliances. Check ahead to see if dinner or breakfast will be available. If not, all cabins have basic kitchens (burner, skillet, sink, but no fridge) that can be used to prepare a meal. Beautiful place, and a great experience to be out in the countryside.

What an amazing site to be seen. It's a little tricky to get down and then back up from the waterfall but it's totally worth it. The fresh water felt amazing. The rock formations is beautiful. They even have fish in there that they use at spas to clean your feet. A must see. If your looking to add to this adventure pair it with ATV experience. Awesome time!

Gonna let the pics say it all. The hike was medium effort, but the views were world class.

Great hidden gem. Small hike down to a beautiful swimming hole out in the middle of nowhere. Highly recommend this destination.

No pets to the waterfall, no food, no alcohol, no music, no tobacco, 150 pesos per person. Basically, not worth the drive if you have a pet and want to chill by the waterfall.

There is pure uniting with nature: the waterfalls, hot springs and whales like stones. Simple and healthy environment. Thank you a lot.

Great water fall, water was crystal clear. We did the walk to the river in flip flops and it wasn’t bad. My savage kids even liked it 😀

Wonderful place! Right next to an adorable farm with goats, donkeys and even peacocks :) Day trips to the waterfall (10min) Hikes into the valley (1h) Rooms were solid brick and extremely clean! Driving there could be tricky because of the sandy roads, no roaming internet but they gave wifi on the premises.

Great hike down to a beautiful waterfall and several pools. Also visit the hot springs. Go early to avoid crowds in the avo.

Worth the drive from Los Cabos to visit this oasis. We also had some wonderful food for lunch here after our swim and hike back up.

This was the mostly lovely hide gem. The food was amazing. The staff was so kind and helpful. The animals were friendly and cute. The spot was cozy and fun. The water was magically. One of my highlights. Wish we spent another night there.

Wonderful waterfall and wonderful accommodations! When you reserve a cabana it is actually two buildings, one with a kitchen and another with a bedroom and bathroom. Although the bedroom sleeps two, there's room for two more to sleep on seating in the kitchen area that doubles as twin size beds. No matter how you book, be sure to contact them directly to confirm your booking. However, it is almost impossible to get a meal at the restaurant here. They said that they do not keep much fresh food on hand due to needing to run their refrigeration on solar power -- but of course there are plenty of non-perishable foods like rice and dried beans that they could store and serve in abundance without need for refrigeration, if they wanted to! We were refused dinner the evening of our arrival because we did not know that we should have arranged it in advance, but the chef promised us breakfast the next morning. Then, at breakfast time, they again tried to refuse to serve us, same story: they said that we should have arranged it ahead of time. By then we were quite hungry, having already missed dinner, and they agreed to make us some eggs only after we reminded them that we already had been refused dinner and that they had promised breakfast instead. Other than the absolutely terrible service at the restaurant, this is a wonderful place! Be sure to try the fresh orange juice.
