OUCH! Quick, cheap, and painful haircut. The clippers used to trim my neck were dull and the stylist pressed way too hard, leaving me with cuts and a nasty friction burn. Sideburns were also uneven and had to be fixed at home. First and last time going here.

The place is always very clean and they have friendly staff. Our family goes here always. My husband and I always ask for Ysenia. She does my haircut and color. Last time, Leah did my hair. I love how she did my haircolor! Reyna was very gentle to cut my 5yo son's hair. My son doesn't like haircut, especially with clippers. But with Reyna, he didn't cry or feel uncomfortable! My mo-in-law likes Georgina, too. Highly recommended.

I want to start this by saying My stylist (I forget her name - she had short purple hair) was a GEM! Very sweet, helpful, and patient. I would give her 5 stars. The reason for the low rating is because of their outdated styling tools. It took over an hour just to blow dry my hair. Granted, I have long hair, but it usually takes no more than 10 mins, both when I do it myself at home and when I have gotten previous blowouts. Additionally, my blow out immediately fell flat afterwards. I also credit this to the old/outdated styling equipment. I also had to pay an extra $13 because of the length of my hair. While I understand that, i wish i had known that earlier. I expected to pay $35. I also scheduled online so that might be where the lack of communication stems from. Other salons do not charge an extra fee - just a flat rate. This is in no way a reflection of my stylist. She was wonderful.

A very clean atmosphere. The stylists keep on schedule if you make an appointment. I have been going here for other 5 years at least with Rebecca. She knows my hair and I always am very happy with her effort.

Let me start this off with… Ive been dying my hair since i was 14… im 20 now. ive been trying to get my hair healthier for about two years now after a bad bleach job i had done that ended up frying the ends of my hair off so i had to go to a bob haircut. So Coming to this appointment meant this was very scary for me since i havent touched my hair for two years with any chemicals.. Ive never been to a haircuttery before.. i always went too a hairstylist i’ve known since i was a kid, but i moved to mount prospect a few months ago and wanted a change… i scheduled an apt for a balayage with any stylist because i wasnt sure who would be best fit due to never being here… I was paired with Yesenia and she did the absolute best ive ever seen. especially due to my hair being so short and difficult to work with; with foiling and teasing since i have no hair texture. Yesenia was very kind and i enjoyed talking with her. the consultation at the start took one minute. she glanced at my photo i had and got to work.. She took her time applying which made me nervous since ive had my hair fried off before but thank god she took her time because ive never been so happy with any hair results before. She kept it more soft and natural at the top/front and made it more blonde and harsh in the back and bottom which is what i wanted since ive been trying to grow my hair (easier maintenance) Ps.. she also got my hair the lightest anyones ever been able to get it which made me so happy due to using dye almost my whole life. Im so happy with my hair and Yesenia is truly so talented and such a beautiful soul. Thank you Yesenia and Hair Cuttery!
