👍👍 The staff was very friendly and the place is large. There were about 6 auto belays and two small areas for bouldering. Gym is mostly top roping so you will need a partner to belay you. The grips are well loved and a little rough on the hands. Good variety of grades for all different climbing abiliti... People often mention climbing,

Had a great time. Very knowledgeable staff. Patient with little kids. Plenty of courses and routes to keep you busy all day. It was the perfect thing on a rainy day.

10/10 recommend!!! We’ve been climbing here regularly for six months now, absolutely worth the one hour drive. Super friendly and informative staff, safe environment and fun routes for all skill levels. Centrally located in downtown kazoo, right next to an ice cream shop. Phil, the owner is AWESOME. Visit Climb Kzoo, this place is a gem.

My boyfriend and I went to this gym today at 2:30pm to check it out. I moved to the area last year and did quite a bit of rock climbing in different parks and rock climbing gyms. The guy who worked the front desk did not make us feel welcomed at all. He was busy helping other customers with a belay lesson. We were patient and just looked around the gym. When he got the time for us he asked us if we needed anything. I explained how we were looking for a climbing gym. His first response was, "first off, we're not a climbing gym, we're a "climbers" gym. You need to know how to belay, you can't just come here and climb." I assured him that I knew how to belay and worked as an outdoor guide for years. He shrugged us off and didn't offer a tour or anything. I really had hopes of joining this gym but this guy really turned us off. Hoping others experience better customer service than we did.

My husband and I go here on date nights. It is a great combination of fun, exercise and thrill! Especially if you want a workout that's not your typical trip to the gym. We were new to climbing and got lessons there our first visit on how to climb properly and safely.

I’ve been climbing here for over a year and loved every moment! Great routes and staff. However, really disappointed they’re moving from brake assisted belay equipment to a cheaper alternative with no fail safe. The assisted braking makes me feel secure even with new belayers. The new alternative is not safe for new climbers and I won’t be able to use my 2 free passes a month with anyone green to climbing-likely won’t top rope at all if the switch becomes permanent due to safety. Safety should always come first and I was extremely unimpressed with the new equipment. Hoping the owner, a climber himself, takes into consideration safety and the fact this place is advertised as friendly to all levels of climbers- newbies included before permanently making this switch to save some money at the risk of of paying customers safety. Sad my review is switching from 5 stars to 2 over safety concerns.

Great clean gym. Staff was really patient and helpful with teaching. Offered teaching a few different ways to tie knots which was really appreciated!

Pretty nice gym. It's mostly focused on top roping with a bit of bouldering and has about 6 auto belays which are mostly beginner oriented. All the ropes already have figure 8's tied and gri gri's attached so you don't need to rent them or bring your own which is super nice. My only issue comes from the super inconsistent/bland setting. I'll sometimes find a v1 thats miles harder than 95% of the v2's in the gym. This has been a recurrent thing the past couple of resets and I imagine it's just one setter whos been climbing for 25 years can't differentiate between v1-v3 anymore cuz its all too easy to him. The top rope setting has also been a tad bit boring so far. I'm a pretty new climber, so I'm peaking at around 5.10a. Of all the routes i've done, most just feel like ladders with each step up in the grade forcing a more reachy move. I've literally only climbed one 5.9 there where there was something to figure out and it wasn't just about forcing a more dynamic move. It gets better once you hit the 5.10's but the 5.9's do a really poor job of including beginner versions of moves you may find in harder routes. It's all just jugs. Besides my nitpicks, its a great gym. Employees are great and everyones friendly. It's all you could want from a local gym and more
