We hosted our wedding at Loft on Lake in August 2021 and it was the best! We had 120 people and thought it was the perfect size - it felt intimate but not too small. We were worried about the cocktail hour space being too small but it ended up working out just fine. The venue is the perfect blank slate to decorate how you want without needing to do much. Its laid out perfectly for caterers and vendors to get in and set up and really nice to have bathrooms in the front and back of the space. The location is also ideal being close to all of the action in West Loop but far enough away to still get parking. Plus I think all of our guests hit the McDonalds afterwards ;) The BEST part of the venue was working with Jill. She has such a calming personality and just gets it. She went the extra mile in every single way and added so many little thoughts and details - she even signed our guest book and took some photos of our dance floor <3 We just loved her and couldn't recommend working with her or Loft on Lake more!

I cannot say enough good things about Loft On Lake. It was the first venue we saw, and was where we decided to have our special day. The space itself is a beautiful bank slate. I wanted a rustic but modern wedding and Loft On Lake was everything we could want and more. It’s so beautiful on its own, you don’t need to do much, but at the same time it offers you the flexibility to make it into your dream wedding. Parking was easy for most as there’s an inexpensive lot right around the corner $10 for the whole night! McDonalds next store for a late night snack. And all the vibes of the city without the crowdedness of downtown. We got so many compliments from our guests on the space. But the true shining star of Loft On Lake may not even be the space itself, but the Venue manager Jill! From the very beginning, Jill was welcoming and helpful with all of our questions. We loved her energy so much, we decided to hire her as our coordinator. She helped organize with our vendors, and I didn’t lift a finger the day of our wedding. Jill was on top of everything, and I felt I could truly enjoy my day to the fullest because of her. She even released our pup Benito (our ring bearer) down the aisle. I can’t recommend her or loft on lake enough! We are looking for every excuse to hopefully rent this space again some day. We are so grateful to Jill & LOL for helping bring our special day to life ❤️ Editing to add: one of my guests left a review noting parking as an issue. However I wanted to add that loft on lake provided a map of available parking areas, as well as the link to reserve parking at nearby lot (less than a 3 minute walk away) which we included in our wedding invitation details to our guests. No other guests had issues with parking. Given the location of loft on lake, I would say finding parking is easy when compared to other establishments. Most venues and restaurants in the west loop do not offer reserved parking lots. You can’t make everyone happy unfortunately!

Went here for the Taiwan now boarding event. It's a one room event space that is perfect for meetings, cocktail parties, events and especially weddings. The space can accommodate anywhere from 50 to 200 easily. It has an intimate feel to it, cozy and warm as well. There are no windows, but the giant skylight makes it so bright, you don't even notice. It can be transformed into anything you would like, and staff is very helpful. There are these really cool antique cameras in front, but, sadly no one could tell us anything about then. Had fun at the event and would seriously consider using them for an event or wedding in the future.

Attended a 90-person wedding and everything was great. Space was contemporary and rustic, real nice atmosphere. It was a June wedding, so it was obviously going to be hot. But it was difficult to stay inside - in fact, many of the guests spent a good portion of the night cooling off outside. Just know that going in, but otherwise: would definitely attend another event here.

Loft on Lake hosted our wedding on November 18th and we can't thank them enough for sharing their beautiful space with us! Jill was beyond helpful and assisted with coordinating vendors making sure we would have everything set up correctly and with enough time to take pictures at the venue with family. Our original venue went bankrupt earlier in the year and Jill eased our nerves of starting our planning from scratch the second we met her. We couldn't have asked for a better place to become husband and wife. Anyone getting married or having an event would be so lucky to have it at Loft on Lake!

We just had our wedding on October 7th, 2022. We absolutely loved having our ceremony at Loft On Lake! Jill is amazing. She replies so quickly via email & is always willing to help. 10/10 would recommend!

I am so excited to write this review because I have nothing but the highest praises for Cher, Steve, and Jessie at Loft on Lake. This family is truly incredible. When my husband and I set out to pick our venue I was nervous and stressed (this literally was the most overwhelming part of wedding planning to me). When we walked into Loft on Lake Cher greeted us and made us feel right at home, and that is what you get when you work with Loft on Lake. A family run business that makes sure to have everything you need right when you need it! She was able to answer every single question I fired off at her, she was able to talk to us about how other people had set up their weddings, and the entire time she did it with a smile. While working with a family owned and operated business was the selling point for us, Loft on Lake is also a stunning venue. They have a gorgeous sky light, beautiful wooden beams over head with adorable fairy lights strung between them, and exposed brick. This venue is a blank canvas that you can beautify any way you see fit! One of the coolest parts of working with Loft on Lake was getting to hear all the magnificent things the vendors we partnered with said about Cher, Steve, and Jessie. They all said how much they enjoyed partnering with them and how professional they are, and after a year of planning and working with them we too say the same. Loft on Lake we can’t thank you enough for the beautiful space, awesome atmosphere, fun photobooth, and care you put towards our Wedding day!

We held a 60 person wedding here just yesterday and it was so amazing. Jill was an amazing help from start to finish throughout this whole process. The venue itself is gorgeous and we didn’t need to bring a lot of decor due to just how beautiful the space is already. Jill was additionally there throughout the wedding day as well to make sure everything was running smoothly and even fixed the train on my wedding dress (without me even having to ask) as I was walking out for the ceremony! Overall, an amazing experience and we would recommend this venue to anyone who would ask!

Held a gala for my nonprofit here in October 2023, and it was lovely! The venue offers so much - kitchen, coat room, wide space, chairs, tables, linens, projectors and screens - and it already looks beautiful, so we needed minimal decorations. Jill was so great to work with and was there throughout the night helping things run smoothly. We had probably about 150-175 people for a mostly cocktail set up, with a live band, and I'd say we still had room for a couple dozen more if needed. But this venue took so much work off me and my staff. We definitely hope to return!

I just recently had my daughter’s milestone party here. Working with Jill made the entire process seamless! Any questions or reservations I had, Jill answered and took care of with ease! The place so beautiful on its own that I didn’t even need to have any other decor other than a welcome sign and table decor! You absolutely need to book your next party here, you won’t regret it!

We had an amazing wedding day. Can’t thank Jill and the loft on lake team enough. The venue was beautiful and we loved that they allowed dogs so our pup could be in the wedding. Jill was professional and friendly, and you can tell they truly care about their clients. The skylight also makes for some beautiful pictures. Overall 10/10 would recommend the space!

I cannot recommend Loft on Lake highly enough. The space is just beautiful! We knew we wanted to have our wedding there as soon as we walked into the event space. The decorations are simple and lovely and recreate a wonderful warm and inviting environment. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the space was. We didn't use any additional decorations as the exposed brick and curtained walls provided all the ambiance needed. Jill was also so wonderful to work with. She was responsive to all forms of communication and quick to answer any questions. Other vendors also commented on how much they enjoy working with her. Such a great experience and also at a great price! Thanks for everything!

Beautiful interior and welcoming staff. The location was hidden away in the downtown area and parking was an... experience. However, once the ceremony started and the string quartet played the Wedding March for my cousin, none of those things mattered anymore. The building was small in comparison to our large group but once the reception hall was transformed, the atmosphere felt cozy and relaxing. There's a skylight in the main room and the ceremony was held at night so the candles and string lights really helped set the tone for the rest of the evening: An intimate celebration between family and friends for the newly married couple.

I cannot say enough how amazing this venue and the team is! Loft on Lake exceeded mine and my groom's wedding dreams. This venue is a perfect intimate spot to host your special day! Also, working with Jill Garrett was the best decision! Not only was she helpful throughout the entire planning process, staying on top of Covid restrictions and keeping us informed. She was an all-star coordinator the day of our wedding. I did not have to worry about one thing on our special day. We have held the Annual Gala for my Son's school at Loft on Lake in 2019 and 2022 and each was a wonderful event. Jill, the Venue Manager, is always calm, responsive, and friendly. We used a caterer off the list and she worked so well with them and made set up a breeze! The space is both charming and versatile so it can easily be decorated for any theme or look. Jill ensured our event at Loft on Lake went off without a hitch!

I have worked in sales for 15+ years so my. expectations of great service are high and I can't say enough about the wonderful experience I have had working with Jill Garrett at Loft on Lake. I have had several events at the venue and each experience surpassed my expectations. Jill's communication skill always amaze me. The venue space is beautiful and turn-key and has many features that make an event easy to host, kitchen space, chairs and tables, couches, candles, lighting. If you are looking for a beautiful space but more importantly run by the smoothest point person this is it!

To say that my families experience with Loft on Lake was fantastic is an understatement. It was out of this world. Jill was a pleasure from beginning to the end. It was like having your big sister or best friend hold your hand and lift you up. She was so supportive, patient, attentive, understanding and had wonderful ideas! The Loft on Lake literally had everything to help us plan our event, we just had to pick what we wanted. They were easy to work with, flexible and had a nice variety of vendors to choose from, which helped us tons. We’re so glad we picked Loft on Lake for my goddaughters sweet 16. Let’s not forget the space! Absolutely GORGEOUS! Clean, intimate while being spacious and everything we were looking for to celebrate. Loft on Lake was the dream wedding venue. We got SO MANY compliments from all of our guests about how beautiful it was. The brick walls, the built in lights, the SKYLIGHT it was all breathtaking. We knew we wanted a space that didn’t require additional decorating and Loft on Lake fit the bill. We loved that they had decor like candles, the fireplace mantle, etc. On hand so we didn’t need to buy more and could keep the wedding “green.” Above all else, HIGHER JILL as your day of coordinator. She was so easy to work with, was super responsive and as two very type A brides did an amazing job taking the reigns and letting us relax.

I cannot say enough great things about Loft on Lake! The venue itself is such a beautiful space for starters. It's conveniently located in a great neighborhood in the city, less than 5m from hotels in West Loop for your guests' ease. The skylight ceiling allows natural light to pour in during your ceremony and then later on, their in-house lighting gives the perfect ambiance once the reception gets underway. Their bridal suite tucked away in the corner is so nice to have on site throughout the day and their kitchen is every catering team's dream, which in turn makes food and bev service a breeze, which is important for your guests' experience at your wedding. Most importantly, it's a private/family owned venue, and you can immediately tell that they take amazing care of the space and each and every client. Jill is so welcoming, professional and on top of everything during the planning process; such a pleasure to work with! Again, cannot say enough fantastic things about LOL. It's truly a perfect venue if you're looking for a cool, intimate, urban space in the city!

We had our rehearsal dinner followed by our welcome reception on a Friday evening at Loft on Lake. We considered the space for our wedding but it was a bit too small for our expected number -- we loved it so much, we decided to use it a different way. Jill made the whole process extremely easy -- she was super responsive, easy about arranging payments and tours, and just generally really informative. The space, with its lovely included lighting effects up the walls, easy hook up to connect your playlist to the included sound system, and general warm feel meant we needed just some candles/vases for dinner tables and a few photographs for the entrance to make the space feel really personal and beautiful. We would highly recommend hosting an event here, especially with Jill as your guide.

Loft on Lake is so fabulous! Jill was our day of coordinator and we wouldn’t have had such a perfect day without her. She was so flexible, kind, and easy to work with. From the emails and phone calls to help us postpone our wedding due to covid to finalizing the timeline and details - she was attentive and made sure our vision came to life. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and came with so much flexibility to really showcase our vision as a couple. We cannot recommend Jill and Loft on Lake highly enough - because of her we got our dream day!

We were fortunate enough to have our wedding ceremony and reception at Loft on Lake in September 2021. The space is beautiful and created an intimate and inviting atmosphere throughout the evening. Beautiful venue place. Staff was very kind and the Service was amazing, location was very convenient and we had a great evening there for our friend’s birthday.

Loft on Lake went above and beyond to ensure that our charitable event was a major success. From their kind And welcoming demeanor, to their flexibility and quick communication, they made our event process smooth and painless. And this is all without their biggest contribution - their gorgeous, open and unique venue that made all of our guests say “wow!” The brick walls, skylight and spacious environment was the perfect setting for our memorable event.

So thankful for Jill and Loft on Lake. We had to postpone our wedding scheduled for Summer 2020 to the following year and were worried as we looked for a new venue that could accomodate us. There's a lot of stress that can come with wedding planning and I was thankful that this was one less thing to worry about because they made everything so much easier. We had absolutely the best wedding experience we could have hoped for at Loft on Lake. Jill is such a gem of a human being. She is calming yet enthusiastic, supportive and attentive. She gave great suggestions and also was very open to our non-traditional evening flow and helped to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. I have nothing but praise for Loft on Lake!! Our wedding was originally scheduled for April 25, 2020...and of course was postponed...TWICE! Loft on Lake was so accommodating with all of our changes and we were able to host our wedding on May 1, 2021. Jill is an absolute GEM, great communication, and so helpful. They are a family-owned company, and will treat you like family. We loved the location in West Loop, it was easy for our guests to get to and the parking garage very close and cheap (for all day parking in the city)! Also, in case you are worried about outside space, we were able to pop up a tent and set up some lounge furniture in their back parking space for a cigar lounge. The space is so adaptable and gorgeous, even with minimal decor. If you are looking for a stress-free, beautiful, location for your wedding/event go with Loft on Lake!

We held our wedding here Aug 2023, after having under 3 weeks to find a new venue. Jill made sure our event planning was seamless and she was very supportive and helpful the entire time, was so happy we found this venue and our wedding turned out perfect. The venue is absolutely beautiful, we were able to seat 150 ppl and still have enough room for a dance floor. We are still getting compliments on how beautiful our venue and wedding day was.
